Perfect San Diego vibes! Festive music, friendly staff, clean inside and out, and one of the best CA burritos I've ever had! Premium, flavorful Asada cut into bigger pieces than I'm used to elsewhere and it just works. They were out of chips but everything else was

The food was amazing! One of the workers, Maggie was so sweet and helpful! The location, vibes, and prices are amazing! I love taco stand!

Great service and absolutely amazing food! I got the Cali burrito, and it was seriously one of the best burritos I've had. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and packed into a huge portion. I also tried the tacos, and they were just as good. You can really tell they put effort into the quality and flavor of everything they make. Adrian was the goat too--super friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience even better. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for some Mexican food. I'll definitely be coming back!

Really good California burrito for only $10! And the tacos are large, but also about $3.50. Large selection of self serve salsas. They have a small parking lot

This place is always so tasty! And has pretty fast service. I usually get the california burrito and it's so filling but this time I opted for the tacos & they were just as good! I tried the grilled fish & shrimp tacos. It was so fresh & the sauce on them complimented it well. The staff is always friendly & helpful! I will definitely keep coming back!

Went here based on my college student niece recommendation. The students aren't wrong, this place was yummy. Since it was a semi big group of us I got to try a little of everything . The tacos were good I tried chicken and steak, steak was better of the two to me. I also got to try a few different salsa with chips - solid salsa bar. I also got an elote which was meh mushy and overcooked. Finally, we shared a few orders of churro with dip it was super delicious. I'm going to remember that one. Also the young people working here were friendly and pleasant despite having a big line. Thanks kids!

The menu is simple in a good way. Good selection of tacos, burritos, specials, drinks, and some side dishes. Standard San Diego taco shop at the beach ambiance. The staff is incredibly hard working. I don't recommend going during rush hour, lines are long.

Great spot!!!!! Man, their tortillas are fire; fr, fr, fr. The meat in the carne asada burrito was personally tough to chew on and it didn't have much flavor, dinging my score for their food to a 4/10; tbh. The vibes were high. There is convenient and complimentary parking which is a plus! I love the setup, it makes me feel like if I was in Mexico without the hassle of making the drive/ flight. The service was PHENOMENAL! I didn't make the effort to try all of their salsas, the three I tried were not good. The place was poppin', and we were lucky to score the best seats in the house. If only they could improve their salsa recipes and invest in quality meat, this place's profit would break the charts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We left home too late on our trip to San Diego and got hungry while driving through Oceanside. Being a "tacos- any-day" kind of couple, we stopped at the Taco Stand for a quick lunch. Located at the south end of the city, the stand alone restaurant had its own parking lot large enough for 20 cars. Inside, the combo of tables and counter could accommodate 30 guests, and there was also outdoor seating for 30 more. The line was long but it moved pretty fast. The overhead menu by the cashier was simple and easy to understand. For this visit, we ordered 6 different tacos (corn tortillas only) and they were ready in about 15 minutes: Pescado (Mahi Mahi) and Shrimp Tacos: Both tacos came with pleasantly creamy sauce similar to Thousand Island, plus chopped tomatoes, cabbage, and a slice of avocado. Both fish and shrimp pieces were fresh and with very nice textures. Carne Asada and Pollo Asado Tacos: The beef (carne asada) was soft and perfectly seasoned, and the slightly charred chicken (pollo asado) was tender and savory. The creamy avocado and chopped fresh onions went extremely well with the tacos. El pastor Taco: This was my favorite taco. The marinated pork meat was tender and succulently fatty. The creamy sauce with pineapple bits gave a nice counterbalance to the meat. Mushroom: The sauce was flavorful, and the sauteed mushrooms had a nice texture and were quite juicy. The slice of avocado gave the taco a nice creaminess. Overall, a very nice meal and totally worthy of repeating.

Service is good, place is clean, fun spot to go and chill. Food seriously lacks flavor. I like the tortilla they use for their burritos and the crispy fries are good. They ran out of chips at 4pm. And they weren't making anymore. I wouldn't come here again. I got the California burrito and the carne asada. The California burrito was small needed seasoning. The Carne asada burrito was bigger but they put sauteed vegetables and all the juice from the veggies made the burrito completely soggy and wet. I just removed the tortilla and ate it with a fork. Both burritos needed seasoning

Not great, necessarily, but good and the prices are some of the best around. They have a ton of options, and lots of drinks, including beer. We were just picking up, and it was a very hot day. The restaurant didn't have any air-conditioning so it was quite warm inside. Most people were eating outside. We'll be back again to try some other menu items given that their prices are generally pretty good.

Such a fun, laid-back beachy vibe and the location is perfect. You can kind of see the water, but more importantly you can FEEL it. We walked along the pier afterward which was a great way to end the night. We were both pretty jet-lagged and I wasn't feeling my best, so we unfortunately couldn't eat as much as we wanted. The birria tacos were definitely the standout! Tender beef, cheesy, crispy on the outside and SO good. I would 100% get those again. I got the pollo asado taco bowl with cheese. The chicken and grilled veggies were fresh and good, but I found myself wishing it had something a little more substantial like rice. Nuzz got the carne asada mulitas and loved them. Very cheesy and he'd definitely order them again. We also got chips and guac, which was fresh and definitely worth ordering. The salsa wasn't really our favorite since we prefer it chunkier. You scan a QR code at the table to order and pay, which was pretty cool, and the food came out FAST. The staff was really friendly too, especially the guy who helped wrap everything up when he realized we weren't eating much. Bonus points for the Cokes in big glass bottles! The tap water, however... not so much It was kind of warm and definitely not my favorite. My only real disappointment? NO FISH TACOS! At the beach!! This is by far one of my favorite places for Mexican food in SoCal. As a Cali Native now living in…read morethe great state of Texas, sometimes it's refreshing to step outside the land of Tex‑Mex and get the real deal again. Colima's hits that spot every single time. When you walk in, the person behind the counter greets you immediately -- and not the dry "hi, what can I get you?" type of greeting. You get a full "¡Buenos días, mija!" with that warm, almost‑grito energy that makes you feel like you just walked into your tío's spot instead of a restaurant. Super friendly, super natural, and very SoCal. I ordered the rolled tacos plate and wow... esa porción estaba gigante. I couldn't finish it. What I loved most was the meat; this is what meat is supposed to taste like. The beef was seasoned the way we grew up eating it: a little salty, a little savory, with that slow‑cooked tenderness that lets you know it didn't come from some pre‑bagged, mystery‑meat situation. You get hints of garlic, a little cumin, and that warm, almost toasty flavor that comes from meat that's actually been browned, not steamed. It tasted like someone's abuela was in the back saying, "No, no, déjalo dorar un poquito más. And the corn tortillas? Perfect. Thin enough to get that crisp roll, thick enough not to shatter. None of that flour‑tortilla‑trying‑to‑be‑crispy nonsense. These were crunchy, flavorful, and loaded. The toppings were just as good. The guacamole tasted fresh. You could taste the real avocado which was creamy, a little chunky, with lime that actually tasted like lime and not concentrate. The red salsa had a legit kick to it. It had hints of roasted chiles, was smoky and had a slightly bitter edge that tells you they actually roasted them instead of just tossing raw peppers into a blender. It wasn't tourist spicy; it was SoCal Mexican‑restaurant spicy, which is a whole different category. My partner ordered a breakfast burrito and honestly? That thing could've fed three people. It was massive, stuffed to the brim with cheese, egg, potatoes, and fresh bacon and exactly what a SoCal breakfast burrito should be: simple, hearty, and no shortcuts. Between the portions, the flavor, and the service that feels like home, this spot stays on my list every time I'm in Oceanside. If you're craving real Mexican food and not Tex‑Mex, pull up. You'll leave full and happy. #supportlocal
