This is a quaint little place. The owner is very nice and always has a smile on his face. They have some really great breakfast. You definitely get what you pay for with the burritos, you could feed a family of four with one of those. Their burgers and fries are good too. The burgers are thin for those that like thin patties. I love to go here for lunch but I tend to get breakfast food. Which. Is. Awesome. My favorite is the French Toast combo with scrambled eggs and bacon. The bacon is nice and crunchy and the eggs are perfectly scrambled (not runny and not dried out). They also do a great job with pancakes, omelettes and especially breakfast burritos (which are frickin HUGE!). Lunch is a good option too with a wide open menu, something for everybody. If this was just for their breakfast, it would be 5 stars easy. However, their lunch fare is only decent at best. But stick to the breakfast here. One of my favorites is their spinach and mushroom omelet. It's so good because they use fresh spinach and mushrooms instead of the canned stuff another breakfast joint in Simi makes it with. It's huge plus you get hashbrowns and toast. My wife loves the All American, which is eggs, bacon, hash browns and pancakes for under $6! The food is excellent as well as the prices. Large Menu. Food was just okay. From the reviews of this place I was expecting more. I attempted to order a falafel dish but I was told they were out. Crazy, this is a greek place...how do they not have falafel? I quickly dismissed the thought that maybe the falafel was soo popular that they ran out, not likely from look of the food the clientelle were ordering. I'm very perplexed by this place. The menu is, well, everything. Mexican food, burgers, and allegedly Greek food. It's very much a greasy dive, but it's not bad food. The burgers are messy, along the lines of the fried, messy, greasy Five Guys burgers, but cheaper. It's a diner that serves a wide variety, and the prices aren't too bad, so you do get what you pay for. No complaint here, but it doesn't wow you if you're looking for something special. It's a cramped diner, so don't expect much for ambiance or space. Again, not bad, just know what to expect. I have been here several times over the past few years. Luckily, I have never had as negative an experience as some of these other reviews and so I keep coming back. Yes, the place is a bit dirty-looking so if that's a turn-off for you, then you might consider avoiding it or eating To-Go. My boyfriend loves breakfast burritos and he's tried different ones around Simi but says Chef Burger has the best breakfast burrito. I just ordered a veggie breakfast burrito to-go and was not disappointed. I couldn't finish it because the burritos are HUGE. They're seriously gigantic. Mine was really hot (temperature-wise) which I loved. I put Tapatío and ketchup on my burrito and it tasted great. I've tried other things before. Generally, I've really enjoyed their breakfast (eggs, hash-brown, french toast and pancakes.) Their french fries are okay but not that flavorful. The burgers are fine. We go here pretty regularly for breakfast burritos and pancakes. Portions are huge and priced fairly cheap. Food is a bit greasy but overall pretty good. My only real complaints are the fruit they serve on the side or in the pancakes is not fresh at all and seems like it was previously frozen and also the cheese they use on the burritos and omelets seems like kraft singles, would be nice if they used a better cheese. read more

It's either breakfast or lunch here for me. Three eggs over easy, bacon, hash browns and toast. It is a very good size portion, I leave full and satisfied. For Lunch I always get the Gyro sandwich which is awesome good. They do a great job on both my favorite meals. I keep coming back. If you enjoy large portions of burnt marginal tasting food...this is your place. Everything here is overcooked in what appears to be very very very old oil. We had the chicken/waffles and the chef burger combo with onion rings. The burger tasted like any plain old burger you'd find anywhere. Nothing remarkable. The chicken and waffle were both burnt and the chicken looked more like a finch. The decor is ancient and The high chairs are rickety and sticky, but you do get to enjoy your meal while getting interrupted by a lady selling flowers. I personally cannot understand how this place has 3 1/2 stars. My family and I ate breakfast here this morning. My sons pancakes were inedible. My husband said his breakfast burrito was awful. I ordered eggs, hash browns, and a piece of bacon & sausage. The only thing I ate was the eggs, my son ate the toast from my meal rather than the pancakes. We spent about $30 on breakfast and left most of the food on the table un-eaten. Don't waste your time or $ here. Find somewhere else! read more

I walked in not knowing what to expect. I looked at the great big menu, and figured the food item the place is named after should be really good, right? Not so much. I'm not sure if I ate at the same place you guys have been eating, but this place had sky-high expectations, and delivered about ankle height. A) The burger was just about "okay" 2) The onion rings were sub-par, and III) The iced tea was kinda funky tasting. And on top of that, the place felt cramped.
