What a great addition to Simi! Authentic Italian food on the west side! The location is in a busy shopping center and recently they announced they are expanding to the place next door. Parking is easy. Plenty of indoor and outdoor tables. For the happy hour, we ordered and paid at the front and then they brought us the food outside. We came for the happy hour which is M-F 3pm-6pm. The food was amazing and the prices were great! $2.50 Peroni beers. We really enjoyed their La Bianca pizza ($15) made with mushrooms, burrata cream sauce and mozzarella. Their arancini with spinach and ricotta ($9) and their meatballs ($8) were also good and came with two each. Would love to come back and try more things on the menu, including their delicious looking sandwiches. I'm happy to hear they are expanding. read more

Really high quality Italian sandwich shop with excellent ingredients. The bread, salumi, and cheeses all seem top notch, and I would definitely come back. I had the Ciao Down with finocchiona, marinated artichokes, pecorino cream, and semi-dried tomatoes. Everything was good individually, but the artichokes and tomatoes dominated the sandwich enough that the finocchiona got lost. My wife had the Fico and we had a similar reaction. The prosciutto and stracciatella were excellent, but the fig jam was heavy enough that the sweetness overpowered the more delicate ingredients. I like the combinations they are putting together, but I think some of the sandwiches would benefit from a little more restraint with the stronger toppings. The quality of the salumi and cheeses is good enough that I want to taste them more. Still a very good sandwich shop and one we will absolutely come back to. read more

The food was okay--and that's being generous. Nothing made me want to send the plate back, but nothing made me want to take another bite either. For what they're charging, I expected something that would make me say, "Wow." Instead, I was sitting there wondering where the rest of the flavor went. And unfortunately, the meal didn't exactly agree with me afterward. Let's just say I spent a significant amount of time in the bathroom with diarrhea. If Gordon Ramsay walked through the door, he'd probably take one bite, stare at the plate, and say: "This is overpriced, bland, and now it's gone straight through you?!" At these prices, the food should be exceptional--not something that leaves you questioning both your wallet and your digestive system. We had some good food at this little Italian restaurant. We ordered the Bambino Panini, Lasagna Bolognese, Eggplant Parmigiana, and a Burrata Caprese. The panini was very tasty and I loved the bread; crispy with a little chew. The Burrata caprese had very fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and a sweet and tangy balsamic vinaigrette. The lasagna was very tasty, with layers of pasta, meat and savory tomato sauce. The Eggplant parmigiana was very good as well, similar to the lasagna. The restaurant has plenty of seating inside and in the patio area. Staff were very helpful, friendly, and attentive. Food came out quick, hot and fresh. The sandwiches here are outstanding. I tried the Pollo Parmigiana (hot chicken parmigiana sandwich) and Bambino (traditional cold Italian sandwich) and both of them were absolutely delicious. There is ample seating inside and outside, and complimentary water if you aren't in the mood to pay for a drink with your sandwich. They also have a nice grocery selection of Italian foods and snacks. It is a little pricey, but the price is worth the quality of the food. Looking forward to trying a new sandwich place and the results were pretty mixed. My first issue is, you pretty much take what you are given without enough options. Honestly, I don't want somebody else's idea of a perfect sandwich, I want it made just like I prefer. That aside, I took half of mine home, scraped off the stracciatella, toasted pistachio, salsa rossa, arugula, added mayo and mustard, plus some lettuce and onion and it became wonderful. Their mortadella is some of the best I have ever tasted, but with what they put on that sandwich, you really can't tell. Their bread is wonderful too. My wife became very ill a few hours after our visit, and remains unwell two days later, she refuses to even look at her remaining sandwich half, and now I'm afraid of it as well. Oh, and their cannoli's are not great either. So unlike Clemenza, I'd leave the cannoli's and take that other thing. Staff was friendly, the place looked clean, but both of us have decided this is a one and done sort of visit. Too bad too, we really wanted to like this place. read more

The sandwich is loaded with capocollo di Martina Franca, Genoa salami, and prosciutto cotto, layered with provolone, pepperoncini, tomatoes, red onions, and lettuce--and somehow everything comes together perfectly. The flavors are bold but balanced, the meat is tender and juicy, and every bite just hits. The bread has that perfect crunch and holds everything together without falling apart, which makes a big difference. And the size? Huge. Definitely worth it. What really stood out too was the service. The person who took my order was very nice and attentive, and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. I saw people dining in, and right away they were being welcomed, seated, and offered drinks. It just feels like a place where you can relax and enjoy yourself. The inside adds to the experience--it actually feels like a true Italian deli. I have been eyeing this place for awhile and been looking forward to trying a new non chain restaurant in town where you can get quality food. And this restaurant fit the bill! Plus they offering catering where you can get larger portions of salads, trays of sandwiches, lasagna and more. They also offer a variety of Italian treats and drinks to enjoy with your meal. My friend and I decided on a couple of sandwiches. Sandwiches range from about 17 dollars to 22 dollars. They offer both meat sandwiches and vegetarian sandwiches. I settled on the chicken parmesan sandwich. I appreciated that it was not overly breaded with the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. The bread was the perfect touch. As it was a beautiful day we were happy that they offered outdoor patio seating. Some of the seating is directly in the sun, but they do offer some in the shade. There is a mixture of high boy and regular tables. Plus there is indoor seating as well. The staff was super friendly at the restaurant. Plus very patient with us as it was our first time here. The sandwich bread is baked there and it's perfectly crunchy on the outside and not too bready on the inside. The bread is the size of a large hamburger bun. We've had their food twice. The first time my wife brought home a few sandwiches to try and yesterday we ate there for lunch for the first time. We walked in and were greeted immediately by two ladies and one of them offered us a menu to review and we ordered a Tuscan Trader Salad and the Parasido sandwich. If you go, I'd recommend sitting outside since it can get a bit warm indoors. Service is great and the staff do consistently check up on you even if you're outside. Yum, a new delicious Italian Deli on the westside of Simi Valley. Tucked in the corner on Madera and Royal you can find this place. Straightforward you order at the front, get a number and find a seat. My friend and I both ordered sandwiches as that appears to be their specialty. I can see why. The bread is outstanding. Really makes the whole sandwich. And also where you take one bite, you immediately want to follow up with another. Before I knew it I had devoured my sandwich. Very tasty. Bravo We visited this adorable new spot today we were blown away. Absolutely perfect in every way. My husband and I ordered the Bambino sandwich and the margarita pizza. Both were totally delicious. But the absolute standout was the sandwich bread. They would do themselves a favor and sell that bread to go!!! It is absolute perfection.
