    Good pizza
    Phil C.

Summary: a great place to eat. Staff is nice and the pizza is bomb. Pizza: i forgot what i got but i posted pictures. All i remember was telling my wife that i wanted to come back. Pizza was amazing. Crust to topping ratio was perfect.

The paninis are definitely the star of the show here -- really solid and flavorful. The chop salad was also delicious and surprisingly fresh. If you go, I'd recommend sitting outside since it can get a bit warm indoors. Service is great and the staff do consistently check up on you even if you're outside. My only real wish is that they offered more cold drink options, especially iced coffee or a bigger soda selection. Overall though, great spot for a casual lunch.

I'm so glad Simi Valley finally has a spot like this. It's honestly one of the only Italian delis around here that really delivers. I ordered the Bambino, and one bite says it all. The sandwich is loaded with capocollo di Martina Franca, Genoa salami, and prosciutto cotto, layered with provolone, pepperoncini, tomatoes, red onions, and lettuce--and somehow everything comes together perfectly. The flavors are bold but balanced, the meat is tender and juicy, and every bite just hits. The bread has that perfect crunch and holds everything together without falling apart, which makes a big difference. And the size? Huge. Definitely worth it. What really stood out too was the service. The person who took my order was very nice and attentive, and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. I saw people dining in, and right away they were being welcomed, seated, and offered drinks. It just feels like a place where you can relax and enjoy yourself. The inside adds to the experience--it actually feels like a true Italian deli. They've got shelves stocked with Italian sodas, snacks, sauces, pastas, and all kinds of condiments you can take home to make your own Italian dishes. Everything looks high quality, and it makes me want to come back just to try their products and cook something at home. I'd easily compare this place to Criccas in Woodland Hills, which says a lot. The best part is I don't feel the need to make that drive anymore--I'm more than happy staying local now. Picked it up to-go, went home, relaxed by the pool, and just enjoyed an amazing sandwich. This place made my weekend. If you want a great sandwich and a welcoming place to dine, this is it.

At last I got to try this new establishment with my friend and a fellow Yelper!!! I have been eyeing this place for awhile and been looking forward to trying a new non chain restaurant in town where you can get quality food. And this restaurant fit the bill! This restaurant offers an array of salads, sandwiches, pizzas and more to fill any tummy! Plus they offering catering where you can get larger portions of salads, trays of sandwiches, lasagna and more. They also offer a variety of Italian treats and drinks to enjoy with your meal. My friend and I decided on a couple of sandwiches. Sandwiches range from about 17 dollars to 22 dollars. They offer both meat sandwiches and vegetarian sandwiches. I settled on the chicken parmesan sandwich. I appreciated that it was not overly breaded with the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. The bread was the perfect touch. As it was a beautiful day we were happy that they offered outdoor patio seating. Some of the seating is directly in the sun, but they do offer some in the shade. There is a mixture of high boy and regular tables. Plus there is indoor seating as well. The staff was super friendly at the restaurant. Plus very patient with us as it was our first time here. Plus the gentleman who provided boxes, napkins, etc was super friendly and aim to please- thanks for great customer service. Lastly they do offer happy hour during the week with several dollars off glasses of wine.... Cheers!

I will make it easy peasy Customer Service 10/10 Margherita Pizza 10/10 Arancini 10/10 Buratta Caprese 7/10 I feel like it just needed maybe some balsamic vinaigrette or oil olive.. maybe a little cracked pepper. Overall this place was very delicious, great portions, the price maybe a little high for lunch but when I tell you it's worth it - it really is ! The ingredients are so fresh and you can taste it in every bite. Definitely worth the lunch splurge

Yum, a new delicious Italian Deli on the westside of Simi Valley. Tucked in the corner on Madera and Royal you can find this place. Straightforward you order at the front, get a number and find a seat. My friend and I both ordered sandwiches as that appears to be their specialty. I can see why. The bread is outstanding. Really makes the whole sandwich. And also where you take one bite, you immediately want to follow up with another. Before I knew it I had devoured my sandwich. Very tasty. I ordered a salad to go (Tuscan Trainer) and it was delicious. Will return here again for more food.

We had a good experience here. Our food came out perfect and quickly. That wasn't the case for a few other diners around us. Missing sandwiches, long waits. It seems that they are suffering from pains as a new restaurant. Looks like they need to work on their systems. They have table number flags that they give you when you order. But from what we witnessed that doesn't seem to be working that well. That being said- our experience was very good.

We love it here! Twice in two weeks. Our new favorite place. Everything from the greetings at the front by Roberta, meatballs.v the sandwiches, espresso, and wine. A must visit.

We really enjoyed dining here. We both ordered a glass of wine, a pizza and the famous chicken parm sandwich, really delicious! It was a little pricey because of the wine, but we will be returning!

Very good first impression. Nice decor and ambiance. I enjoyed brunch here with a friend in their first week of opening. The restaurant got packed quickly during lunch hour as there's lots of excitement for a new option in Simi. The food was very fresh and well made. Our server was EXCELLENT. So attentive in the midst of such busyness. He asked for feedback and we were happy to make a couple of suggestions. Sure, there are some kinks to be worked out, but we're definitely going back to try more of the menu.

Bravo We visited this adorable new spot today we were blown away. Absolutely perfect in every way. My husband and I ordered the Bambino sandwich and the margarita pizza. Both were totally delicious. But the absolute standout was the sandwich bread. They would do themselves a favor and sell that bread to go!!! It is absolute perfection. We sat at the bar so we could watch the guys behind the counter work. They were awesome and even asked us if we had received the pizza yet. They were very dialed in. Extra points for the piggy toothpicks that hold the sandwich together. Super cute touch. My recommendation is to run, not walk, to try this spot out.

After being seated, we were never asked what we wanted to drink, and we waited about 30 minutes for bread after being told it would only take around 10 minutes. The only consistent part of the service was that our water glasses were kept filled, which we did appreciate. There were only around five tables seated at the time, and despite that, our party of eight waited over 40 minutes for our meals. We understand larger parties can take longer, so that itself wasn't the biggest issue. However, both of the kids' pasta dishes also came out with the wrong type of noodles, which added to the frustration. Overall, the experience was disappointing, especially considering an automatic gratuity of over $70 was included for our table. We expected a much higher level of service based on that. Hopefully this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests.

You'll hear many patrons describe this restaurant as a hidden gem. Believe them. From our observation, reservations are highly desirable and may prove necessary for weekend nights. The only seatings available when we called a day earlier were at 4:30 or after 7:00 PM. We took the earlier, and frankly are glad we did. We arrived at their unassuming storefront location as the first patrons of the day, were warmly greeted and immediately seated. From this moment forward, my wife and I agreed: If anyone hopes to run a highly successful small restaurant, Bella's Bistro is the template. Inside, the ambiance was tasteful with gentle background music at the absolutely perfect tempo and volume to allow for conversation. We found the furnishings, tableware and restroom immaculate. Fresh flowers and a candle adorned each table, and the decorations for Valentine's Day were just the right tone, conveying appeal without being garish. Kudos to the staff for getting it right on all of the above. Though I generally set expectations low for the wine list or bartending at a small establishment, Bella's features a diverse wine list and specialty cocktails that pair very well with their menu. Of particular note was the superb crafting of cocktails during our visit - again, exceeding our expectations. It was during cocktail service that we noticed the full-service bar tucked in the rear corner of the restaurant, offering barstool seating and counter service for those who may be so inclined. We shared a nicely prepared caesar salad, while enjoying the basket of varied breads. While refrigerated butter pats were provided in the basket, it would have been a tad easier and more appealing if a small container of whipped butter had been offered instead. Our entrees included their homemade ravioli as well as chicken parmigiana, the latter included a large perfectly crafted portion of chicken accompanied by perfectly prepared spaghetti. To say this restaurant knows how to make and served great pasta is in understatement, with the ravioli a choice to be savored. A simple cheesecake dessert topped off the evening. Though the restaurant was full as our meal ended, we never felt rushed or ignored. Service was at all times attentive but never overbearing. There was genuine interest in our enjoyment and satisfaction. We encourage you to try Bella's Bistro!

The Food 5/5 As someone who follows a gluten-free diet, I had always avoided pasta restaurants, assuming options would be limited. I was thrilled to find an excellent gluten-free menu! I ordered the Salmon with Asparagus Pesto and a side salad. Both were absolutely delicious, the salad dressing is clearly homemade and very flavorful. My husband loved his Carbonara with Angel Hair, and our friends both enjoyed the Salmon Salad with asparagus and artichoke. We shared the Crème Brûlée to finish the night, and it was exceptional. The only downside was the service. Our waiter seemed a bit impatient from the start. Once our entrees were served, we didn't see him again until the very end of the meal. We all wanted a second glass of wine, but were never offered one, and our water glasses remained empty the entire time. It was a slow night, so the lack of attention was a bit surprising. The kitchen is doing everything right! The food is high-quality and safe for those with dietary restrictions. I ordered the Pollo Limone with angel hair pasta and it was perfection -- flavorful, tender, and beautifully balanced. I also tasted the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo (rich and creamy without being too heavy) and the salmon with angel hair in a creamy white sauce -- both were outstanding. Every single dish at the table was a hit. They start you off with warm bread (two different kinds!) that was soft, fresh, and so flavorful. It's such a simple touch, but it really set the tone for the meal. We also enjoyed a lovely bottle of Rutherford red wine that paired perfectly with dinner. The service was phenomenal. The restaurant was busy (we went around 6:30 PM), so I definitely recommend making reservations -- we were seated right away and everything flowed smoothly. The owner was there greeting guests and checking in on tables, which made the whole experience feel even more welcoming and personal. Such a warm and gracious host. Although the ambiance is a basic order at the cashier and pick-up, the pizza here is anything but ordinary. Whether it is New York, Detroit, Sicilian, or grandma style dough, it is expertly fermented, resulting in a crust that strikes that perfect balance between crisp and tender. It has just the right amount of chew, and a subtle depth of flavor that speaks to pure craft and technique. The crust is the foundation, and it just gets better and builds from here. The sauce! I can drink it up as it has all the right notes of sweet, tangy and flavor. The toppings feel intentionally selected for both quality and compatibility. Nothing is excessive, nothing is lacking; every component is beautifully balanced. Whether it's the brightness of fresh herbs, the richness of meats, qualty cheese, or the perfectly seasoned sauce, everything works in unison. We ordered the Hot Honey, Wiseguy, and Rosa. Each bite is indulgent and satisfying. You can taste the influence of a skilled chef in every detail, from the texture and flavor development of the crust to the thoughtful building of toppings and finishing touches. This is the kind of pizza that redefines expectations. It goes beyond comfort food and enters the level of an indulgent culinary experience. We also had an order of the meatballs to start; it was moist, flavorful, and indulgent. The meatballs were drownng in the sauce, which served as a great way to savor the remaining crust.
