    Delicious Spaghetti!

We had a great Sunday dinner here last night. The spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, and pizza special was a great deal and was delicious. The place is a warm, cozy and has a wonderful aroma. Our waitress was very nice and professional. I recommend this place for all pizza lovers!

My husband and I have been living in Simi Valley for 27 years and this as our first time dining here and we were highly surprised. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Let me start by saying, it's a small cozy restaurant with old school Italian motif decor with wall mural of Italy with brick accents. Yes it's a little dated but we ate there for the food and not the decor. The server was attentive and gave great recommendations. Our food was served timely and paced according to completing each course. We did not feel rushed. We started with their Mozzarella sticks served with their homemade marinara sauce. The mozzarellas were lightly breaded and pretty thick in size. It was piping hot and delicious. My husband had the Italian wedding soup and it had a lot of sausage pieces in it. I had the dinner salad with blue cheese and it was just okay. Will have to try another dressing next time. For our main course we had the Lasagna and Chicken Par magian. Both were generous servings. The Lasagna had a good balance of well seasoned ricotta, meat sauce and cheese. The Chicken parm had two huge slices of chicken which was way too big to finish. Both dishes were scrumptious and they included yummy garlic bread at no extra charge. For dessert we tried their Cannoli and it did not disappoint. It brought me back to Boston's North-end where they have excellent Cannolis. To our surprise, for all of the food plus beer and cocktail our bill was very reasonable. I highly recommend this charming restaurant and encourage Simi Valley residents to support this iconic restaurant that's been around since the early 70s.

This is really still the best pizza in Simi. The crust is tasty with just the right chewiness.

My family has been eager to check out more spots in Simi Valley. I recently heard Palermo's is under new management and have really improved. They were right! We were quickly greeted and seated. This place is smaller but private enough and includes a patio seating area. We were shameless and brought in a local deal that turned out to be great! It included pizza, spaghetti, salad and bread. More than enough for my family, and for the price a very good deal. All of our items, but especially the pizza and homemade dressings (Italian, balsamic and ranch) were all a hit! You could tell the pizza was homemade, as well as, the dressings. Very flavorful. Before leaving, I noticed an extensive beer and wine offerings. Maybe next time! Thank you Mary for your great service, hope to see you again soon.

We enjoy stopping in when we get a craving for Italian. It is a cute little place... they recently have been updating the interior opening it up more. We always get the family deal for 2. 2 salads, 2 spaghetti, and a medium pizza for $39.99. It is delicious and we always take home leftovers. My only complaint this time is it was very hot inside the restaurant. Not sure if their air conditioning is broken or they don't have air. They have a private parking lot and outdoor patio.

Secret gem in Simi Valley. Low key Italian restaurant with nice ambience, great food and wonderful service. We went for dinner a couple of months ago and had a meal deal for 2 with salad (no pic but was good), pepperoni pizza, spaghetti with meat sauce and garlic toast (pic only shows 2 pieces but it comes with 4). Everything tasted great and our server was very attentive and had great timing ensuring we never ran out of beverages. Last night since it was raining pretty hard we got take-out (ordered online through Slice) as we had company from out of state. We got the same meal deal but for 4 with more pizza toppings (that of a Supreme) and it was just as good if not better and the price was pretty reasonable. Our company loved it as well and said next time they come back that they want to eat from here again!

My wife and I hadn't eaten here in a while. We noticed that they have NFL football on the patio Sunday afternoons with special prices on beer and appetizers. The food was great. We had the meatballs, ravioli, and garlic bread. Our waitress was Felicia, and she was great. They have the NFL Ticket, so they had all the games available. We will definitely be going back.

Been wanting to try Palermo and finally did recently as our daughter wanted Italian for a quick birthday dinner. It wasn't very busy but it sure was delicious. I didn't get a picture of the fried zucchini (which was so good) but here's a few pics of the rest of our meal. And the service was exceptional. Our server, Brenda, was so attentive and friendly. Highly recommend! (We're going back soon to try the pizza too!). P.S. Our side salad had a small amount of shaved red onion which I really loved. I generally don't like onion on a salad but this was the perfect touch!

The only consistent part of the service was that our water glasses were kept filled, which we did appreciate. There were only around five tables seated at the time, and despite that, our party of eight waited over 40 minutes for our meals. We understand larger parties can take longer, so that itself wasn't the biggest issue. However, both of the kids' pasta dishes also came out with the wrong type of noodles, which added to the frustration. Overall, the experience was disappointing, especially considering an automatic gratuity of over $70 was included for our table. We expected a much higher level of service based on that. Hopefully this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests.

You'll hear many patrons describe this restaurant as a hidden gem. Believe them. From our observation, reservations are highly desirable and may prove necessary for weekend nights. The only seatings available when we called a day earlier were at 4:30 or after 7:00 PM. We took the earlier, and frankly are glad we did. We arrived at their unassuming storefront location as the first patrons of the day, were warmly greeted and immediately seated. From this moment forward, my wife and I agreed: If anyone hopes to run a highly successful small restaurant, Bella's Bistro is the template. Inside, the ambiance was tasteful with gentle background music at the absolutely perfect tempo and volume to allow for conversation. We found the furnishings, tableware and restroom immaculate. Fresh flowers and a candle adorned each table, and the decorations for Valentine's Day were just the right tone, conveying appeal without being garish. Kudos to the staff for getting it right on all of the above. Though I generally set expectations low for the wine list or bartending at a small establishment, Bella's features a diverse wine list and specialty cocktails that pair very well with their menu. Of particular note was the superb crafting of cocktails during our visit - again, exceeding our expectations. It was during cocktail service that we noticed the full-service bar tucked in the rear corner of the restaurant, offering barstool seating and counter service for those who may be so inclined. We shared a nicely prepared caesar salad, while enjoying the basket of varied breads. While refrigerated butter pats were provided in the basket, it would have been a tad easier and more appealing if a small container of whipped butter had been offered instead. Our entrees included their homemade ravioli as well as chicken parmigiana, the latter included a large perfectly crafted portion of chicken accompanied by perfectly prepared spaghetti. To say this restaurant knows how to make and served great pasta is in understatement, with the ravioli a choice to be savored. A simple cheesecake dessert topped off the evening. Though the restaurant was full as our meal ended, we never felt rushed or ignored. Service was at all times attentive but never overbearing. There was genuine interest in our enjoyment and satisfaction. We encourage you to try Bella's Bistro!

The Food 5/5 As someone who follows a gluten-free diet, I had always avoided pasta restaurants, assuming options would be limited. I was thrilled to find an excellent gluten-free menu! I ordered the Salmon with Asparagus Pesto and a side salad. Both were absolutely delicious, the salad dressing is clearly homemade and very flavorful. My husband loved his Carbonara with Angel Hair, and our friends both enjoyed the Salmon Salad with asparagus and artichoke. We shared the Crème Brûlée to finish the night, and it was exceptional. The only downside was the service. Our waiter seemed a bit impatient from the start. Once our entrees were served, we didn't see him again until the very end of the meal. We all wanted a second glass of wine, but were never offered one, and our water glasses remained empty the entire time. It was a slow night, so the lack of attention was a bit surprising. The kitchen is doing everything right! The food is high-quality and safe for those with dietary restrictions. I will definitely be back for the salmon, and I'm hopeful that the service will be a bit more attentive on our next visit.

I ordered the Pollo Limone with angel hair pasta and it was perfection -- flavorful, tender, and beautifully balanced. I also tasted the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo (rich and creamy without being too heavy) and the salmon with angel hair in a creamy white sauce -- both were outstanding. Every single dish at the table was a hit. They start you off with warm bread (two different kinds!) that was soft, fresh, and so flavorful. It's such a simple touch, but it really set the tone for the meal. We also enjoyed a lovely bottle of Rutherford red wine that paired perfectly with dinner. The service was phenomenal. The restaurant was busy (we went around 6:30 PM), so I definitely recommend making reservations -- we were seated right away and everything flowed smoothly. The owner was there greeting guests and checking in on tables, which made the whole experience feel even more welcoming and personal. Such a warm and gracious host. It's easy to see why this place stays busy. The food, the atmosphere, the hospitality -- everything was delightful from start to finish. Although the ambiance is a basic order at the cashier and pick-up, the pizza here is anything but ordinary. Whether it is New York, Detroit, Sicilian, or grandma style dough, it is expertly fermented, resulting in a crust that strikes that perfect balance between crisp and tender. It has just the right amount of chew, and a subtle depth of flavor that speaks to pure craft and technique. The crust is the foundation, and it just gets better and builds from here. The sauce! I can drink it up as it has all the right notes of sweet, tangy and flavor. The toppings feel intentionally selected for both quality and compatibility. Nothing is excessive, nothing is lacking; every component is beautifully balanced. Whether it's the brightness of fresh herbs, the richness of meats, qualty cheese, or the perfectly seasoned sauce, everything works in unison. We ordered the Hot Honey, Wiseguy, and Rosa. Each bite is indulgent and satisfying. You can taste the influence of a skilled chef in every detail, from the texture and flavor development of the crust to the thoughtful building of toppings and finishing touches. This is the kind of pizza that redefines expectations. It goes beyond comfort food and enters the level of an indulgent culinary experience. We also had an order of the meatballs to start; it was moist, flavorful, and indulgent. The meatballs were drownng in the sauce, which served as a great way to savor the remaining crust.
