Justin and Sandy treated us great and were very friendly and attentive. We ate in the downstairs area which had great ambience with different colored lighting and a fireplace. This review was very mixed. We'd heard great things about this place and wanted to try a new place…read moreas we've started exhausting a lot of local places. The decor was great, the drinks were FANTASTIC, my food was about a 5 out of 10. I had the carbonara. Very oily and not creamy at all. I would have used a different blend of cheeses to make it creamier and less oily. My guess is they used Asiago. Not bad but not as great as I was expecting. My wife had the red beet salad. Shockingly a $20 salad with canned beets on it. Mediocre at best but the canned beets ruined it. If your getting a salad that features a specific vegetable wouldn't you want that vegetable to be the best highlight of the salad? That was the good part. The service I can't even explain. I'm not sure what happened because if it were like this everyday they'd be closed. We walked in downstairs and was told to sit wherever we wanted and then we were forgotten about. The bartender finally came over after my wife was looking her way for 20 minutes. Bartender apologized for forgetting about us. No waitresses anywhere. The AC I think was off because it was cooler outside on a warm muggy PA night than it was inside. The bar was about 3/4 full and there was one table seated and we noticed about 3/4 of the outdoor seating was occupied as well. Not super busy at all. We waited about 20 minutes before we were approached. We ordered water until we could got our menus and reviewed them. Water never came. Someone else came over and asked us about ordering drinks. We ordered drinks and asked about our water. Water never came. Drinks came. Then yet a different person came over a few minutes later to take our food order. We ordered water again since we were planning on drinking more. My wife's appetizer came out, meatballs. Pretty good, similar but somewhat different flavor than my Italian mothers recipe. When the app came out that person finally got us silverware, napkins and our water. Food came a little later. That's described above. During dinner we had to get up to get refills on water and were never offered additional drinks or anything. We finally stopped someone and asked for our check. My wife had to go to the bar to pay the bill. No one ever came back to the table. At one point earlier we were asked who our waitress was and we all looked at each other because 4 or maybe 5 people were at our table at some point but it was like we still couldn't get stuff we needed. My wife paid with a card she had forgotten to activate and it declined. The bartender gave her the slip and the card and never noticed or told her. She realized it at the table. We had to go back to the bar and pay again because after cleaning that one table everyone except the bartender would vanish. Finally we paid, sweating our asses off in a corner table with the most bassy sound system pounding for 2 hours we got out of there and went to a local bar for drinks. I would have loved to have enjoyed this place and loved to have had more drinks because their bar was the highlight of the experience but it was clear they didn't care about us at all. And we were sweating to death.

In their defense, everyone is trying to figure out the world post Covid (not that we are completely post Covid but we're getting there) so I'll keep supporting them while they figure it out. I did see a review commenting on the pricey drinks. That is absolutely correct. For downtown Pittston, the drinks are quite expensive. I'd expect this in center city Philadelphia but not in Pittston. It's still absolutely worth patronizing. The outside deck is great.

Servers knew it and it showed, our food came in spurts some of us were done eating before the others even got their food, no apologies no information as to why that was, I ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer, it was fine nothing great. Order the Caesar salad with chicken for dinner $16. salad was on a dinner plate, instead of freshly shaved parm it was the kind you buy at the grocery store to sprinkle on your pasta, croutons were also the small square ones you get in a bag. Lettuce had a lot of brown edges to it. Chicken was ok,lacked any real flavor. Hubby got a flatbread said it was ok. My drink was really good, however it was Downeast Mango Cider so they didn't make it. First time here and probably the last. So disappointing.

I ordered the new Flame Grilled Chicken sandwich - the employee let me know that takes 5-6 minutes to broil, which I appreciated. I was okay with the with and proceeded with the order. I ordered a drink as well, but when I went to get a drink all of the diet and zero sugar options were out. I went to the counter and asked if they had Zero Sugar Dr Pepper back there. No. I asked about another. No. I finally asked a different employee to please fill me up with a diet option and they were able to do that. The tables were filthy. All of them, not just one or two. It looked like they hadn't been wiped off all day or maybe even for dayssss. I found one that was okay and wiped it down. My chicken came up and it was hot, fresh and made to order. The chicken was really good. My chicken sandwich and drink were $9 - probably would've been a better value to get a meal, but I didn't need fries. Overall I would stop here again if I was desperate, but there are 3 fast foods in this shopping center parking lot, choose a different one.

I told the employee I would like a bottle of water instead. If an unkept soda machine is the norm, I won't be a return customer. I feel disrespected by the Pittston Burger King.

I went for a plain slice, a sweet sauce slice, and a mushroom slice. Their slices are huge--one is about the size of two cuts from other places. They also have a massive pie called "the colossal," though I haven't tried it yet and might not, since that's a lot of pizza. They don't skimp on toppings--the mushroom slice was loaded and nicely thin-cut, crisp and flavorful. The sweet sauce had a pleasant, balanced taste, and the plain slice had that classic old-school vibe. Great service, delicious pizza--I highly recommend Uncle Joe's. Until next time, be blessed and stay safe.
