Nice small little location but parking is limited and traffic coming off bridge can be a pain if heavy traffic times. Seating inside with a few tables/bar stools and walk up counter service. Now, pizza... my fav is Grandma's style and it did not disappoint! Nice portion sizes and flavor was great. Will def be back next visit to PA and can't wait to try more things.

With that said this still should've been a five star experience if not for a couple tiny hiccups. First off, I started off drinking at their bar and bottle shop across the parking lot. In fact, I was going to get a pizza over there, except I wanted to be all healthy and get a salad as well, which was not offered on the limited, pizza and snacks only menu available at the bottle shop. I closed my tab and walked across the parking lot only find a very interesting set up of a to go area very much separated from a sit down only restaurant. Quickly figured out I need to be in the to go area, where I was able to get a draft beer while I waited for my pizza and salad to go. Luckily I asked for a min to settle my tab as I wanted a can to take with me, at which point I found out about the cash only aspect. Last part of slight disappointment resided in the fact that they let me sit there with an empty glass without telling me my pizza was ready, until I finally went to the counter and they asked if I was ready to go. Uh yeah I was actually. By the time I go back to the hotel 14 minutes away, the pizza had gotten cold and required reheating. Fortunately, it was good enough that even with the reheat, revealed itself to be one hell of a pizza. Subtract another fraction of a point for not putting any plastic silverware for my salad. By the way, salad was fine, but pizza slaps.

Now I also ordered their cauliflower crust pizza with the veggie toppings, they have an amazing cauliflower crust, but I have learned you have to eat it there, unlike the regular crust. As you can see this pie was packed full of those healthy vegetables. The crust was nice and thin, normally I am not a crust person, but I like how sab's does there's. Whether it's a plain or specialty pie sab's pizzas are simple and delicious. They are a cash only place with an ATM on sight. Definitely recommend if you have never been here before. Only after 45 minutes did our waitress inform us the fish had actually been frozen, that was why it was taking so long. At that point, my husband politely stated several times that he no longer wanted the meal, as he had already eaten pizza from our table while waiting. Despite this, the staff continued insisting on bringing it out anyway. The situation escalated further when the chef came out and told my husband he would still have to pay half for a meal that never even touched our table. We have supported this restaurant for many years and never expected to be treated this way. Mistakes happen, but accountability and customer service matter. Unfortunately, tonight neither was shown. Not sure what happened to our beloved local dinner spot, but we will not be returning.

Now starting out with the bites, you got 8 to an order, they had a nice breading to them, filled with the mac and cheese, hot out of the fryer. They were good for something different. Now the pizza looked amazing, also came out nice and hot. As you can see in the video that pizza had a nice number of toppings, from the peppers to the onions, to the mushrooms, this cut of pizza was packed with flavor you can't go wrong with this one. I ordered the Forged Pizza, a Sicilian-style thick crust pizza, and it was excellent. The crust was perfectly baked--crispy on the outside and soft on the inside--with generous toppings and rich flavor. The portion size was more than enough, definitely a great value for how large the pizza was. I also tried the garlic knots, which were fresh, warm, and packed with flavor--great on their own or dipped in marinara. One of the highlights of the visit was meeting the new owner, who was there and incredibly friendly. You can tell the place is under new ownership in the best way--there's clearly a lot of pride and care going into both the food and the service. I'll definitely be coming back!

It turned out there was a reason for a small pizza joint in NEPA turning out NY pizza. I struck up a conversation with one of the guys working there who was about 50 years old at the time and I mentioned that I grew up on Long Island and sure enough he is from the same neighborhood that I'm from and he made pizzas at one of the more popular pizza parlors in the area. So yes, the pizza back then was absolutely 5 stars. As for 2021 it's still good pizza but the man from my neighborhood left years ago and the pizza isn't quite the same. Still a very good pizza and definitely one of the best in the valley.
