So, we sat at the window table next to the cooler amongst the piles of soda and started out with the menu. Not inexpensive, but not terrible either. My wife ordered Lasagna and I decided to risk the linguini and clams. The bruschetta they serve as an appetizer was good. Just the right amount of butter and not overly toasted. I started to get my hopes up. The bread , soup and salad that came out next was perfectly done. The salad was fresh and the bread was homemade. Intrigue starts to settle in as I look around. Could it be a mythical diamond in the rough in heights section of Wilkes-Barre? It didn't take long at all for our entrees to arrive (the restaurant was empty besides us) and when they did I wasn't as surprised as I would have been if we hadn't been served anything before then, but finding such an unassuming business serving homemade Italian fare that rivals any chain and even upscale establishments is an inspiring experience. Needless to say, everything was delicious. Suddenly our quaint surroundings take on another quality, like a coded message warning away the unadventurous or unfortunate uniformed foodie.
