My Father & I absolutely love Arcaro & Genell's! It is always on the top in Old Forge . Right when you walk in the door, The ambience is second to none. The service is tremendous and you won't leave hungry. The food is homemade and delicious! Kuddos to the staff and owners, they work their tails off!

Passing thru had to see if it's really pizza capital. Pizza isn't amazing but it isn't horrible. Somewhere in between. Covering it in red pepper flakes & Parmesan def helped. Likes how they had fresh baked goods. Cool town. Love the vibe there. But would go out of my way to try this pizza again. Staff was friendly

I was in the mood for pizza and stopped in this restaurant. I called in my order and got the plain slices. When I arrived I parked in their lot. I walked in and told the lady my name. I then paid and left. When I dug in the pizza was ok. I definitely had to add pepper. All in all I had an ok experience!

We were traveling from TX for a wedding. My husband grew up in NEPA & told me I needed to try Old Forge pizza. Because we were traveling they even let us sit in the restaurant. Everyone was super nice & friendly. The pizza was AMAZING!!! & to top it off, they gave us 2 cannolis, which were really delicious . We'd definitely recommend!!!

I have to say BIG disappointment!!!!!!! The mussels were not washed, sand was all thru the marinara sauce. The clams casino, one of the worst things I have ever had-old refrigerator taste as well. Inedible!!!! The white pizza was underdone, but OK. The pizza with sausage was foul and way underdone. We had one bite and left everything on the outside table. The counter person said we only have 1 person working and could not doing anything about it. Such a disappointing experience.

While I have enjoyed using goldbelly. They recently delivered frozen dumplings late at night after our family was asleep. In the morning, they were a pile of goo. Totally unsalvageable. So, there was not nearly enough dry ice, and the delivery window for frozen food was unrealistic. I simply asked for goldbelly to replace the item. I didn't ask for a refund even, just a replacement. They refused to do so. That is not an acceptable business practice and so I will no longer use them.

For those that haven't heard, Old Forge, PA likes to lay claim to being the self-professed "Pizza Capital of the World." USA Today (https://goo.gl/dySbwM) has even bolstered this claim by stating Old Forge is "The American Pizza Capital you've never heard of." Arcaro & Genell (A&E) are allegedly the masters of this style, as they've been mastering the craft since 1962. I always get a kick out of such bold proclamations; mostly because I like to try and debunk them, but this one also happened to tie-into my obsession with regional cuisine. The Old Forge-style of making pies is a rectangular pizza (don't call them "pies" here fyi) that's crust is somewhere between a Chicago-style and NY-style crust, but with an almost buttery texture. The hearty amounts of cheese is a mixture of American, mozzarella and cheddar and the toppings of one's choosing are trapped underneath to seal in the grease. We ordered up a half pepperoni and half sausage, olives and peppers red pie. Overall I'd say the pizza was really, really quite good―maybe even bordering on excellent. The toppings and cheese, while copious, were pretty standard in flavor. However, the real star was the crust; buttery and tender, but hearty enough to support the copious grease from all the cheese and mounds of toppings. So, would I say that Old Forge is the pizza capital? I'd say probably not--especially after my latest encounter with Lou in Chicago, but that's a story for another day--but they do a fine job and serve up a damn fine pi...err..pizza.

Meh. Even for Old Forge pizza this has gone way downhill. Bland, not enough cheese and really no flavor.

Has anyone ordered from Goldbely.com? I want a white pizza shipped. I'm wondering if the white pizzas from Goldbely are the stuffed white pizzas. I'm hoping they are. Description reads: 1 “WHITE” Style Pizza: A square, double crust cheese only.

GOLDBELLY IS A RIP OFF! OVERPRICED, AND THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS! FedEx delivered my order to the wrong address, Goldbelly was impossible to communicate with. My food… Read more

Julian and the bar manager I believe his name was Kieth (sorry if Im wrong) were so attentive prompt and respectful. First the good: the food is amazing! Handmade pastas are out of this world. Entrees top notch…read more Desserts are on point. That olive cake is to die for. The bad: this point has to do with their automatic gratuity system. Nothing to do with the kitchen. I am not sure if anything over a party of 4 gets automatic tip, but it falls apart here: the bottle list. We ordered a bottle of wine. $115. Total cost with tax and gratuity is $143. That's $27 over the cost of the actual bottle. Or a 20% tip roughly. And they probably calculated the tip post tax. Had I known that I would not have ordered a bottle. Now for the arguments of "serving a bottle involves some labor that should be compensated ". Let's do the math. The cheapest bottle they have is 60$. If you were to charge gratuity and tax on this bottle it would be $76.20. That's only $16.30. Not a bad price right? Given the service of opening said bottle and pouring it. BUT... The most expensive bottle they have is $360. If you order that bottle, you will be paying an extra $97.20. That is a huge markup. And if I'm missing something, tell me how the service on a $360 bottle is different than the service on a $60 bottle. Does the server come out with a little song and dance for the more expensive one justifying an additional $97.20 on a $360 bottle of wine? Do you realize how absurd this is? My guess is that the owners don't realize the point I'm trying to make- to give them the benefit of the doubt. That is the best situation. The worst is if the owners know this, and are fleecing the customers. I'd like to believe this is not the case. To sum up: go for the food. Order wine by the glass. DO NOT order bottle service. You will be in for a nasty surprise. The average markup for A bottle of wine is 3x the amount in a restaurant. Retail my bottle was $45. I know this. And if it's $115, that's fair. After all the restaurant makes more money on liquor sales than food. I'm okay with that. But what I find reprehensible is that they charge a service fee on top of that. Which by my calculation is 20%. Therein lies the fallacy. The same 20% charge is applied to the cheapest to most expensive bottle. The effort made to open and serve said bottles are exactly the same! They don't disclose this practice to the patrons. I've run this by multiple people I know. They all say this practice is shady as hell. Enough said, go for the food. Don't get a bottle of wine.
