If I could give a 0 I would. We were meeting my daughter and son in law there for dinner. We were running late so they ordered. My son in law is a 100 percent disabled Veteran who served our country and is frequently in pain. Because of that he had his leg up on a chair. The owner approached him and told him we are a family restaurant and you can't have your leg on that chair. Therefore they left. Had this man taken the time to observe or simply asked instead of assuming it was a disrespectful gesture this review would be different. Wow. This is what I've been missing in the pittston area. Some good New York Style pizza.. the pepperoni pie wasn't greasy. The Crust Thin and ROUND. And the sauce was really good. Napoli pizza is located on Main Street in Pittston. They offer outdoor and indoor seating. The pizza place is operated by a husband and wife team. There is a lot of local pictures and history on the walls. They did a good job of the decor inside. The owner came over and was talking with us for a bit. He is from Italy and was very nice. The price of the food is very good almost everything is under $10. Some of the pasta dishes are more $ but for the portion size you get bang for your buck here. There menu features many different types of pizza. They won an award for there thin crust grandma style pizza. I have never had there pizza. I don't eat pizza out of NY unless I have to. There menus offers hot and cold subs and Italian pasta dinners. I ended up ordering a sausage and pepper hero. The hero and bread was very good. The person I was with had ordered chicken fingers. The chicken fingers were hand breaded and had a ton of flavor. I had 2 pieces they were really good. I would come back and order the chicken tenders. Overall. Napoli pizza is a good spot to come and eat. I do recommend eating here. read more

Yesterday we got delivery and tried their food for the first time. The girl who answered was friendly and took the order with no issues. She said delivery would be about 45 minutes and it was pretty spot on time wise. They don't take your credit card over the phone bc the driver has a device to scan it at your home. We ordered the pasta with Alfredo sauce and chicken, eggplant parm hoagie and the garlic balls. The chicken wasn't chunks of chicken like we were used to, but instead like shredded chicken so it wasn't actually visible with the sauce. My boyfriend enjoyed it though. It came with half of a hoagie roll and a side salad. Their hoagie rolls are really good and the side salad wasn't just your basic kind. It had olives, sweet peppers, sliced tomato, etc. We asked for the eggplant to be made extra crispy.. An easy request since eggplant is usually just fried. The girl said that wasn't possible so the eggplant was just mush when I got it. There also was very little of it on the hoagie, which is actually how I like it. Some people might not be happy with that though. The garlic balls were exactly that. There were so many of them. My boyfriend liked them, but I found them to be overly greasy and with way too much oregano on them. I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth. With tip our total came to $36. Not bad for what we got. Napoli Pizza is my "go-to" place for pizza, and classic Italian Dinners. Fresh ingredients, expertly prepared by Antonio & Tiffany, the owners. The Grandma Pizza(special sauce, oregano, mozzarella, & light garlic) is my favorite. Fresh dough and ingredients make this pizza outstanding. The over stuffed Calzone's and Stromboli's are huge and made fresh to order. But, I strongly recommend trying one of the classic Italian Dinners. The ingredients are fresh, the portions are huge, and the prices are downright cheap. The newly remolded restaurant is beautiful, plus there will be outdoor seating soon. I attended a wedding rehearsal catered by Napoli's a while back and I was blown away. The quality of the food was incredible - I still have dreams about that stromboli, omg. The service staff was wonderful and attentive and kept everything piping hot and fresh. I don't remember anyone at the rehearsal having an unkind word to say. I've always loved this place, love the pizza and their honey garlic bites. Some other things are a hit or miss. Since I loved the bites so much, I wanted to try a different flavor and this time ordered a hotter sauce. I dont know what they did to it, but the chicken was terribly dry and inedible, sauce tasted of nothing except a little heat. I figured it was a bad night and thought nothing too bad of it. Moving on, lately I've been starting to eat healthier, and my family wanted take out somewhere that night, which we choose this place. I saw they had salads but the price was a little steep and I assumed it must have been a pretty big salad. I wasnt expecting a super high quality salad - but I was expecting something that was edible for 10 dollars. Barely any lettuce and if there was it looked wilted. Bunch of stuff just thrown in as if they used leftovers from everything else they made. One random pepperoncini was in it which was old and dry. Nothing was fresh, and as I said it's a salad from a pizza place I wasnt expecting anything fancy. But this was just sad, honestly I probably wont order from them again. This just ruined it for me. If you order anything your best bet is just the pizza and if you like cheesesteaks go for it. But if you want a little variety sometimes, where everything is made with some care, go somewhere else. Looking for some good pizza, a wrap, hoogie? Look no further. I have yet to get an order that I did not like from Napoli. Living and working close by, this is often a lunch or dinner order. I never eat in, so I can not comment to an in-restaurant dining experience, but the take out is top notch. If you order around noon you will find that out for yourself. This place is packed, and for good reason. I do recommend putting your punch order in a little early due to the volume of business they do. But don't let them being busy put you off. They do not cut corners to get the food out, and the wait is worth it. I don't need to write a flowery review to get my point across here. There is no need, the food speaks for itself. Another great spot for pizza on Main St in Pittston. I have been going here since I was in middle school (so around a decade). My friends and I would end up here every weekend it seemed as we wandered around Pittston looking for something to do...which wasn't much! To be honest, the place was kind of a dump back then, too. They had great food, but I don't think I would have ever eaten there if I wasn't a teenager who didn't care at the time. It was nice that they had the option to sit and eat there if you wanted, but it was definitely more of a pickup/delivery spot. Now, however, they have been completely remodeled and it is much nicer inside! I still feel like the service sucks and would much rather just grab my food and go, but it looks like a whole new restaurant now. Last night we ordered some food from here. We got a buffalo chicken pizza and a buffalo chicken fries. They tasted like ketchup heavily. Very awful. The pizza will not even be eaten. The fries will follow not being eaten. Then my wife had a meatball parm. Three meatballs cut in half not seasoned well on a 12 inch really. The only saving grace of the meal was the stromboli which was good that's why the extra star or this would be just one. Won't go back. read more

Most awkward experience I've ever had. My first time here. It was about 4:30. I stopped with my daughter to get a pizza. We sat at a table by the window and the waitress left two menus on our table and walked away without saying anything and without taking a drink order. We looked at the menu and waited and waited. There was no one around other than the one other table in the dinning room. After an unusually long wait with no one taking our order, we got up and headed for the door. There was a guy behind the counter, I think making pizza's. He looked up and I waved good-bye. I guess they live by the sign in their dining room: "Dinner Choices, 1 Take It, 2 Leave it. Absolutely horrendous service! I walked in with my family (5 of us) and I asked about the different pizza slices. The lady at the counter with glasses ignored me and was staring off in the distance. I asked agin quietly and she interrupted me very meanly told me to wait. Then started to shout at me to get out cause I have the audacity to ask about her pizzas. Turns out she one of the owners. The Grandma Pizza. Nothing else around quite compares to it. I have seen other reviews stating the service is horrible, I cannot say that I have ever had bad service nor a attitude problem there. My take on the place is that they are hard working people and probably get burned out at times. I have worked in the food service industry and know how hard it can be. The food is always fresh and you can tell that they use quality ingredients. I asked for a doggy bag and they even lined the container with food service paper. Cute little place in downtown Pittston. The staff was super friendly. The majority of the food was awesome; square pizza, meatball parm hoagie, fried dough, and the cheescake. The only negative was the alfredo sauce. I've tried a dozen different kinds and this is one of my least favorites. Enjoyed this pizza multiple times . Had an experience tonight that will forever keep myself, my family and many friends that were with us tonight away and definitely suggesting others do the same . We ordered a multiple pizzas to pick up at a certain time . We got there to pick them up ten minutes early, and the pizzas were sitting on top of the oven . We took the pizzas back , which was about a two min drive and immediately opened them to start eating . All of the pizzas were cold , hard and clearly sitting in that restaurant for quite some time . I immediately called , because even if we reheated the pizza in the oven (which we tried), the pizza was inedible, hard as a rock . Considering we have been loyal customers, might I add spending a very decent amount of money here , we assumed that if we had spoken to the business about this issue , we could do something to resolve it . We explained the issue over the phone very nicely and calmly and immediately received attitude from the woman who answered. We tried to explain the situation, she would not let us even get a word in , and she handed the phone to her husband while we were in the middle of speaking, who pretty much told me to F off (excuse my French) and then handed back the phone to the woman who VERY rudely exclaimed to my older , very kind mother "what do you want me to do !!!???" The conversation basically ended in "Mr. Napoli" telling me he does not care nor does he need my business, and then hung up on me . Keep in my that I never once raised my voice , gave attitude, or even acted angry ! I totally understand that things happen, and everything is not going to be perfect every time, which I stated in the conversation because we are not people who would ever complain at a restaurant unless the problem was extreme. If you want to have a successful business , you need to learn 1. Damage control for when these things happen, and 2. Customer service and how to treat other human beings (especially those providing you with your living ) I am just In complete and utter shock with this experience . Almost $100 given to them in one night , and then treated unbelievably badly just for calling and politely bringing the issue to light . Ordered from here tonight. What a mistake. First I used door dash. Then got my food. I ordered a buffalo chicken hoagie. Every place in the valley puts chicken tenders on a bun with wing sauce and blue cheese, and I mean every where. Not at Napolis, that's what I was told several times. I called to say I recieved the wrong sandwich, that mine was all shredded chicken and no blue cheese. I said maybe a description in the menu would be nice. This is the second time something like this has happened. I ordered four dinners two were cheese tortellini and paid with my credit card. The guy said no problem. I got my food, one meal. I called and the manager answered and said they were out of cheese tortellini and his guy would not have sold me that, and proceeds to yell at me until he sees how much my card was charged. Then he begrudgingly sends something to replace it but it took till ten thirty at night to get cold food that wasn't what we wanted. It's my own fault that I got burnt again but that's the end for me. read more

I've lived in Pittston for over ten years and never ate here before today. I don't eat out much at all but on my way home was in the mood for pizza, googled "best slice of pizza near my location" on my smart phone and this place was one of the spots. Amazingly enough i drive by the place so often yet never even noticed it. I stopped in, and it was empty except for who i later learned was the owner and a couple workers. He saw me looking up at the menu behind the counter and just handed me one I guess so he figured I didnt have to strain to see. They have a ton of pizza choices but i went with the "Pittston" style personal pizza. The owner was very friendly to me and talkative, we talked about business sometimes being slow and super busy and what affects that. Noticed all of the old pictures of Pittston on the wall and strolled around the place taking a loot at them. They have a couple few cool looking sculptures int here that I took some pics of. The owner noticed and we got to talking about them, talked about how he was voted Weekender's best round pie for 2014, we talked about other restaurants and where the best places for sushi are around here. We also touched on a topic that is very pertinent to the Yelp review here and really any restaurant, and that is how one person might think a place sucks based on one sole dish or one experience and how another person might think it's the best ever. Plus, the experience you may have one time might just be someone having a bad day or a new worker just not dong a great job or being socially awkward and intimidated by people. The owner asked my name and shook my hand as I left and I felt like I had a real genuine chat out of the blue with the guy. Now as for the pizza? Pretty good. The Pittston style is like half tomato chunks and half sauce, some garlic, and for me the dough is the right size and consistency. It was also perfectly cooked. Ever slightly starting to brown. The crust ended up tasting a bit like garlic bread. The pizza wasnt too sweet or bland. I realize this all depends on the tomatoes though so that might be up in the air each time you go. My 5 star review is based on the entire package of my visit and the food. I have nothing bad at all to say about the experience or the food, I thoroughly enjoyed the pizza for the cost, and I look forward to trying the other types of pizza as well. I really think the negative reviews here are a bit ridiculous and people seem to be completely oblivious to the fact that people are human, and sometimes we have bad days, I guess which is something these harsh reviewers must never ever have. read more

Found ourselves in Pittston today and stopped by as a first time diner. We were not disappointed. Food was fantastic and service was excellent. You can tell the owners take pride in their business. We had the Italian Wedding Soup, white pizza with broccoli, a meatball hoagie with fresh mozzarella and pasta with meat sauce. Enough for lunch as well as leftovers for dinner. Ordered delivery at 7pm, the guy on the phone said he'd call back with a total. At 8pm I call and ask where my food is and I was assured it was on it's way. At 9pm I call back and they tell me the food was delivered. I assured them it was not. The owner and the delivery person got on the phone... Describing which house they delivered it to ( wasn't even close to what my house looks like) Not once did they offer to rectify the situation or send out another order. They have messed up my orders in the past, but being that they have decent food, I let it go. however, sometimes bad service outweighs good food, I won't be ordering from Napolis again. read more
