I've been ordering from Antonio's for a little over 2 years now and for the most part everything has been decent. There is definitely inconsistencies with food quality but nothing crazy. Tonight when I ordered they ran out of the cheese for my sandwich but instead of calling me to let me know they just replaced it with whatever they wanted. I think when you were loyal to a business they could at least call you to let you know something was out of stock and if you wanted something different because I definitely would have ordered something different if they had told me that the sandwich that I ordered couldn't be made the way I wanted it read more

When I moved to NEPA twenty three years ago, Antonio's in West Pittston was just down the road from my house and when I first tried their pizza, I was shocked by how much it tasted like New York pizza. It turned out there was a reason for a small pizza joint in NEPA turning out NY pizza. I struck up a conversation with one of the guys working there who was about 50 years old at the time and I mentioned that I grew up on Long Island and sure enough he is from the same neighborhood that I'm from and he made pizzas at one of the more popular pizza parlors in the area. So yes, the pizza back then was absolutely 5 stars. As for 2021 it's still good pizza but the man from my neighborhood left years ago and the pizza isn't quite the same. Continuing on my Friday Pizza Tour while back in NEPA, I found myself in the area and checked out Antonio's. Making this choice was easy. It was obvious from the pictures that they understand how to construct a round pizza. The crust is providing the foundation it needs to while the cornicione (crust rim) remains soft in the center but not gummy or undercooked. This is what gives pizza serious reheat value. If it's already cooked to a crisp, it's no good and doesn't provide enough variety from tip to tail. Putting that on hold, let's start with the Old Forge style. Thick, bready crust that was not grainy or hard even after being transported 20 minutes on a humid day. It was stacked thicker and cut thicker than I prefer (Salerno's being the benchmark), and the sauce was a little sweeter than I prefer, but the cheese is among the highest--if not *the* highest--quality cheese blend I've encountered on a tray of Old Forge style pizza. The hot wing round pizza actually used supple, tender, shredded chicken. Is it better than Samario's? No, but it holds its own. The crust on it was dreamy, even while folded, and held up under what tends to be one of the messiest top loads. The complaint here is that the marina sauce is a little too sweet and it was too much as I got into pieces 4 and 5. Again--cheese blend is a winner. The white/sauceless fresh tomato--whatever you want to call it--pizza is where we could argue that this is an artisanal, even a gourmet offering. Compared to some of the other monstrosities I saw and tasted during my childhood in NEPA, this was refined and ended up being a crowd favorite in my extremely picky household. read more

ordered an Antonio's pie and 12 wings for lunch with a buddy and was very disappointed with the quality. The pizza quality was terrible, we got a bacon pie and the bacon and cheese was only placed in the center of the pie not even reaching the upper portion of the slice by the crust. There was at least 3 inches up just tomato sauce before even reaching cheese. The wings were unbearable, not crispy at all, and the hot sauce was as thin as water. For two guys growing up in an area of power house pizza places like Sabatinis, Angelos, Jerry's, pizza Bella, etc..... finishing a pie and 12 wings Is normal. But when we got Antonio's we didn't even want to finish it bc of taste, quality, and concern of wings being under cooked. The two women working in Antonio's were very nice and seemed to have great customer skills, but the food was just not it for me. I will never be back, there are just to many pizza place in the valley that aren't even in the same class of pizza as what I just put in my mouth. The pizza is great New York style. I prefer mine a little thinner, but it's still very tasty. Not too greasy and the dough has good flavor. The garlic knots are probably some of the best I've ever had. Not five stars bc the service was lacking. The guy at the counter definitely didn't want to be there. Antonio's is a really great place to get food This place is the closest to NY pizza I get out of NY. They are located in a strip mall. You would miss the place if you weren't looking for it. There are chain places around. I like the fact that Antonio is a honest guy. Every day I have gone in there he personally has made my food. His daughter works in there they talk Italian to each other. They always have daily specials I have had some of the specials and they are really good. I enjoy coming here because it is good food and it is not overpriced. Around 3 o clock school gets out and the kids stop by and have pizza. I will continue to go to Antonio's it's a good place. read more

The bitter woman who answers the phone needs a lesson in customer service. I had a big order, throughout the call she sounded rushed and frustrated. At the end, I wanted her to repeat it to me to make sure she got it right. She replies "I have 15 people trying to order I don't have time for this". I hung up. This place just lost out on a lot of money. I refuse to give my business to rude companies. I don't care how many people you have trying to order, I'm the one who is ordering now so I deserve your upmost customer service. Ordered through GrubHub, and only received half of the items on my order, which could have been the fault of either GH or the restaurant or both, but when I called the restaurant took zero responsibility for the items that weren't delivered. I understand those things happens with these food delivery apps. My bigger problem is that I ordered the honey BBQ chicken hoagie, which didn't look even remotely close to what was listed on the menu. It says the sandwich comes with chicken, mozzarella, lettuce, tomato and ranch. All that was on it was the chicken and a tiny bit of cheese, nothing else. Reoccurring customer I have been coming to Antonio's since I could remember. Sometimes I get a couple slices, but usually come in for one of their chicken wing strombolis. Usually when I enter I am always greeted and asked immediately "what'll it be?". Due to me not liking blue cheese I have to order my stromboli fresh. This is never a problem for anyone. They simply tell me the wait will be 15-20min and it will be right out. Amazing! I also have to point out that the "Antonio's Girl" working presently is very cute and very friendly. A little crush with your stromboli makes everything taste twice as good :o) But anyway, to get back on track, because I am in the military. I am never in the area to go to Antonio's. Probably a good thing because id more than likely be overweight if I could go whenever I wanted haha. When I am in town though I make a point to get my stromboli fix at Antonio's and I encourage anyone that reads this to do so as well. read more

RANT ALERT - So I Placed My Order (1 Medium Stuffed White Pizza, A Cheeseburger And Fries) At 615. The App Said It Would Be Ready By 715. Called At 715 And Was Told That It Would Be Another 5-10 Minutes. Ok, No Big Deal. Waited 20 Minutes And Drove There. After I Stood At The Counter For Several Minutes, Had 3 People See Me Standing There And Didn't Ask If They Could Help Me. However This Lady Walked In And They Waited Right On Her And Took Her Order. I Had To Ask Someone If They Could Please Give Me My Order. When They Finally Went To Get My Order, They Gave Me The Pizza And Then Was Told They Didn't Even Put My Burger In And To Give 20 MORE Minutes. Mind You, By This Time It's Been 30 Minutes Past The Time They Said It Would Be Ready. This Really Snotty Lady Behind The Counter Told Me "Oh Due To The Virus, We Are Only Letting 3 People In At A Time So We're Backed Up" Now... There's A Girl At The Counter Waiting On The People As They Come In... There's At Least 4 People Making The Food. So What Does The Virus Or Allowing 3 People In At A Time Have Anything To Do With You FORGETTING Part Of My Order And Being "Backed Up"? Don't Tell Someone 5 More Minutes When You Didn't Even START To Make Part Of Their Order Until 1 1/2 Hours AFTER It Was Placed! This Wasn't The First Time They Messed Things Up. Well it used to be my go to for Cheesesteak hoagies and salads until recently. It doesn't seem as though whomever answers the phone really pays attention to your order. Last time I ordered my sandwich was completely wrong! No toppings that I ordered no mayo no anything but a skimpy amount of meat and a slice of cheese. The salad was ordered with no onions and no croutons- salad has both on it when I got home with it. Please fix this! Went there a few years ago with a friend. Used to go all the time after high school. The owner took my friends order in front of me who ordered 1 piece and he gave her an extra of fresh pizza that just came out. then he didn't ask me what I wanted and went to the customer behind me. I said excuse me I would like to order and he got me the oldest looking piece of pizza. When my friend and I both ordered pepperoni. I don't understand why he treated me so poorly. Great pizza, subs and wings. My son used to work here. We have been fans ever since. We usually get their $19.99 special, two large pies and a dozen wings! Round pizza(NY style) has a great taste, the dough is hand tossed and made fresh daily. Wings are small but have a good flavor. They have a large selection of hot and cold subs that are very good ( I love their hot wing sub). Stromboli and calzone are great. I get the hot wing Stromboli, it's awesome! This place was flooded out in 2011 but was remodeled and reopen about 2 yrs ago. Very nice inside and clean. They have a small to go Antonio's about 4 blocks up the road if your eating on the fly. I've only tried the Antonio's here in Pittston once, and wasn't happy with my food at all. We ordered a Stromboli and it was horrible. Food wasn't spread out evenly so it was loaded with meat and veggies in one spot and very little in another. Maybe it was just a bad day, but I haven't ordered from there since. read more

We went here staving and ending up disappointed with the pizza we received. We got a medium tray of plain pizza. The pizza was FILLED with grease. The cheese also pulled off the whole pizza. Stopped in ordered 2 xl pizzas was told 20 mins. Went to gerritys got groceries put them in car then went back into Antonio's. Saw a single pizza box on oven when we entered. Sat there for 15 mins with no acknowledgement from staff.Finally asked how long our order would be was told 2 mins 5 mins later was given the cold pizza off the top of the oven along with the fresh hot out of the oven. Also the staff left store to buy chargers for their phones they were using came back managed register, cut pizzas and not once washed hands while touching food! read more

Pizza crust is very good, light and fluffy. Their chicken wing Stromboli is my go-to and I look forward to it while I'm visiting the area.

This place is the most underrated pizza place in the valley. Antonio always has fresh bread and that's what makes the hoagies so good. He has a buffalo sauce breaded fish that is sensational and relatively healthy. The pizza is always good and very reasonably priced. He'll make you pretty much anything you want, fantastic cook. They have decent food but horrible service. I live within walking distance so I will occasionally order food from here due to convenience. On 3 separate occasions my order was forgotten about which resulted in double the wait time. The restaurant wasn't busy at these times. The staff likes to stand around watching tv.
