While out of town for work, I stopped in at this gorgeous restaurant! When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and sat at the bar. The restaurant was absolutely gorgeous and looked brand new. Amanda was my bartender, and she was great! I started with the lemon drop martini, and it was very good! For my entrée I got the dinner special, Barramundi with parmesan risotto. When it came out, it looked good. I dug in, and it tasted good but needed some salt. I really loved the risotto. I had a good experience and the check wasn't bad at all.

Came with a large group for a celebration. The food was decent and served quickly, but things were missing from our order. I deeply enjoyed the mozzarella appetizer, however I ordered the filet of sole and there was so much pepper it was difficult to eat. They have plenty of non pork options and do a great job with kids. They brought the meals out for all the younger ones at our table first and that helped the mood immensely. Decor is great and there is ample street parking.

Thank you Kate for your impeccable service! In my humble opinion the roof top is very nice and certainly something pittston needed as a facelift. I just have to emphasize the annoyance that the bathroom is on a totally different floor which is, at best a buzzkill. The food is absolutely delicious, cheers to that! Do not expect to be on a outdoor roof top and be allowed to smoke though. Or pee. Just saying. That's my only complaint.

We had a great experience at Rikasa. Service was good and the food was flavorful and delicious. I think out of all the joints associated with Friedman Group this one sits on top of the list for me. Started the meal with a shared giant meat ball and peach and goat cheese salad. I ordered the pappardelle veal ragu and my husband got shrimp scampi which was on the special list. Shrimp scampi was kind of sour which we loved and the tomato sauce on my pappardelle was rich. Ended the meal with cream brûlée, which our waiter said is made in house.

    Blackened Sea Bass. Incredibly good.

Good fine dining is difficult to find in Northeastern Pennsylvania so when we find a place we enjoy it is a particularly happy event. The restaurant has contemporary art throughout but I understand the third floor was an old Masonic Lodge in which they preserved much of the Masonic symbolism. Unfortunately that floor was closed for repairs but as a Freemason myself, I plan to go back and see the architecture. The service was outstanding and our server was particularly friendly and good at her job. We ordered Arancini Di Riso to split for our appetizer. It was nice and crispy on the outside and the risotto on the inside was creamy and well flavored. For our entrees I ordered the Blackened Chilean Sea Bass which was served over creamy risotto and fabulous spinach. The sea bass was blackened beautifully and was perfectly cooked on the inside. I loved the spinach and the risotto as well. My wife had the Shrimp Francese which she was kind enough to let me taste. The shrimp were large and perfectly cooked (too many restaurants in this area over cook seafood; not the case here). There was a coating on the shrimp, not a breading, but it gave it a slight texture which was fantastic. I didn't taste her pasta but it looked wonderful. This is now one of our favorite restaurants in NEPA. Highly recommend.

Dinner with friends on Saturday night in Pittston. Rikasa's features a roof top bar & tables for drinks and appetizers. It was a beautiful evening with a glorious sunset. Dinner inside on the first floor, nice ambiance, great service. Pictured below is one of their specials for the evening, venison chops. I ordered it and asked for the chef to prepare it they saw fit, risky, but rewarding! Super tender and tasty! All 6 of us were very happy w/ our meals and the entire experience. It is expensive, but as long as you know that going in, you will not be disappointed. Afterwards we retired next door to the Knights of Columbus for drinks and dancing, where JFK is featured, having paraded down Main Street in the early 1960's. Cheers to Pittston on their continued rejuvenation efforts! A model for other small towns in NEPA to model.

Wonderful establishment in the heart of Pittston. Exquisite fair with timeless flair. Great for family meals, dates , and business engagements. Would 100% recommend ordering the fried mozzarella and giant meatball for appetizers but you can't go wrong with any of the great selections!

S'mores drink but they don't light it like the other bars do -

They specialize in farm to table and healthy food. Our plans before were running long but luckily their reservation policies were flexible enough that I had no problem moving my time, even on such a busy day. The restaurant was POPPING when we arrived around 4:30. We were seated promptly. The only downside to our experience was that the table was SUPER shaky and wobbly. We asked our waitress for a shim or piece of paper to steady the table but she informed us it was the table head itself, not the legs, so nothing could be done. I was not thrilled about this but assumed that these were tables they hauled out of storage to accommodate the holiday demand, so I can understand. Our server was very warm and friendly despite the chaos. Prices are on the high side but the quality is good and the portions are large. I went for the lobster cobb which was a special and it was LOADED with lobster meat. They really heaped it on. A little light on the avocado, but overall it was really wonderful. My mother went for a seafood scallop risotto which I also tried. It was creamy and flavorful. Our food came out in a reasonable timeframe, and our server was good about getting our check. One thing I really liked was that they put which dishes on the menu are over 500 calories, and most were under. A lovely, healthy dining choice with a nice ambiance. I'd return!

We sure didn't but were totally delighted that our $7.99 orders for a white and a red came out in two pitchers! Hell, I pay more than $7.99 for a measly glass back home. My pitcher held four glasses (I found out for purely scientific research). That Sangria added to a very nice dinner experience at Nonno's Pizza and Family Restaurant on Sunday 8/4/24 at around 5:45pm. Oue server Marisol was very friendly and polite and was attentive without being intrusive. We ordered two of their pizza slices ($5.98), a cup of Italian Wedding Soup ($4.99) and an Antipasto Salad ($12.50). All three choices were excellent. The pizzas were New York style with a thinnish crust and a solid sauce to cheese ratio. Very delicious! The soup was loaded with plenty of the traditional mini meatballs and pasta pearls, and a very flavorful broth. The Antipasto was fantastic. It was a very large serving of mixed greens, sliced ham, salami, and provolone, tomatoes, onions, olives and pickled vegetables. My only quibble, and it's more of a suggestion than a quibble, is that a roll or some Italian bread or a breadstick on the side would have been perfect. Anyway, our wine and food feast ran under $41 with tax and before tip. All Hail Sangria Sunday!

Service was so so, one waitress came over to the table and took away 2 empty glasses and returned with one glass of beer. Hmmmm, what's up with that? Mine were not hot, just warm and were overcooked. The meat was on the dry side, BUT, the sauce was good. Make sure you look at your bill carefully, most people look at the bottom line and figure that is what is owed. NOT SO with Dooley's, if you use a credit card, they throw on an extra charge, which jacks up the bill to $90.37. We paid cash and figured the tip on $90.37.
