My fiancé took me to this restaurant for our first dinner date almost 6 years ago this week, so we…read morecame back to celebrate before we marry later this year. So, this restaurant holds a special place in my heart. It was a Friday night so I was expecting it to be a little busy, but I was so sad to see barely anyone in there around 6:30 at night. We parked and walked in the lower lot, past a beautiful outdoor patio space that looks like it's a blast to hang out at in the summer once the weather gets warmer. (Took a mental note to come back with friends!) We walked in and seated ourselves and our waitress came right over with menus and asked for our drink orders. I'm a Gin girl so I asked her for a Gimlet. Even though she admitted she hadn't made one in a while, it was delicious and strong. My fiance ordered the Italian beer on draft and was in heaven. We were starving and got an appetizer (which we rarely do) to spoil ourselves and we ordered the Cauliflower Bites instead of chicken, just to try something different. THEY WERE SO GOOD. Breaded, seasoned, and cooked to perfection, we were relieved we DIDN'T order chicken bites, these were a lighter and tasty alternative. We ordered our entrees, and didn't have to wait long at all for them to come out, we didn't even finish our bites yet. I ordered the Chicken Saltimbocca and my fiancé ordered the Pappardelle Bolognese. He LOVED his dish, said the sauce was a little TOO sweet for his taste, but he finished the whole plate, he couldn't stop eating. My chicken however was a little dry. It was covered in cheese and I ordered spinach as my veggie side so those made up for the dryness, but overall, it was also delicious. Would we return? YES! The atmosphere was so nice and chill, the decor/vibe of downstairs is almost like Olive Garden but way classier. The food is just as delicious as it was 6 years ago on our fist date. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating, asked us how everything was, and made small talk as she tended to other customers and cleaned tables. The Ladies Room was also well maintained and clean. The only downside is the lack of customers! I couldn't believe how empty the room was on a Friday night for dinner and my fiance told me that for the area, that's not uncommon. People would rather visit a chain restaurant in Dickson City or just go to the bar. Common people, visit Arturo's instead, you're missing out!

This review was very mixed. We'd heard great things about this place and wanted to try a new place…read moreas we've started exhausting a lot of local places. The decor was great, the drinks were FANTASTIC, my food was about a 5 out of 10. I had the carbonara. Very oily and not creamy at all. I would have used a different blend of cheeses to make it creamier and less oily. My guess is they used Asiago. Not bad but not as great as I was expecting. My wife had the red beet salad. Shockingly a $20 salad with canned beets on it. Mediocre at best but the canned beets ruined it. If your getting a salad that features a specific vegetable wouldn't you want that vegetable to be the best highlight of the salad? That was the good part. The service I can't even explain. I'm not sure what happened because if it were like this everyday they'd be closed. We walked in downstairs and was told to sit wherever we wanted and then we were forgotten about. The bartender finally came over after my wife was looking her way for 20 minutes. Bartender apologized for forgetting about us. No waitresses anywhere. The AC I think was off because it was cooler outside on a warm muggy PA night than it was inside. The bar was about 3/4 full and there was one table seated and we noticed about 3/4 of the outdoor seating was occupied as well. Not super busy at all. We waited about 20 minutes before we were approached. We ordered water until we could got our menus and reviewed them. Water never came. Someone else came over and asked us about ordering drinks. We ordered drinks and asked about our water. Water never came. Drinks came. Then yet a different person came over a few minutes later to take our food order. We ordered water again since we were planning on drinking more. My wife's appetizer came out, meatballs. Pretty good, similar but somewhat different flavor than my Italian mothers recipe. When the app came out that person finally got us silverware, napkins and our water. Food came a little later. That's described above. During dinner we had to get up to get refills on water and were never offered additional drinks or anything. We finally stopped someone and asked for our check. My wife had to go to the bar to pay the bill. No one ever came back to the table. At one point earlier we were asked who our waitress was and we all looked at each other because 4 or maybe 5 people were at our table at some point but it was like we still couldn't get stuff we needed. My wife paid with a card she had forgotten to activate and it declined. The bartender gave her the slip and the card and never noticed or told her. She realized it at the table. We had to go back to the bar and pay again because after cleaning that one table everyone except the bartender would vanish. Finally we paid, sweating our asses off in a corner table with the most bassy sound system pounding for 2 hours we got out of there and went to a local bar for drinks. I would have loved to have enjoyed this place and loved to have had more drinks because their bar was the highlight of the experience but it was clear they didn't care about us at all. And we were sweating to death.

Our plans before were running long but luckily their reservation policies were flexible enough that I had no problem moving my time, even on such a busy day. The restaurant was POPPING when we arrived around 4:30. We were seated promptly. The only downside to our experience was that the table was SUPER shaky and wobbly. We asked our waitress for a shim or piece of paper to steady the table but she informed us it was the table head itself, not the legs, so nothing could be done. I was not thrilled about this but assumed that these were tables they hauled out of storage to accommodate the holiday demand, so I can understand. Our server was very warm and friendly despite the chaos. Prices are on the high side but the quality is good and the portions are large. I went for the lobster cobb which was a special and it was LOADED with lobster meat. They really heaped it on. A little light on the avocado, but overall it was really wonderful. My mother went for a seafood scallop risotto which I also tried. It was creamy and flavorful. Our food came out in a reasonable timeframe, and our server was good about getting our check. One thing I really liked was that they put which dishes on the menu are over 500 calories, and most were under. A lovely, healthy dining choice with a nice ambiance. I'd return!
