I am not a fan of chains but we drove 30 minutes out of our way based on our previous Cheddar experiences and this did not disappoint. We arrived late afternoon on a Tuesday and were quickly waited on. We had the chips and salsa appetizer and three entrees with a kids meal. I had chicken fried chicken dinner which was huge with mashed potatoes and corn. It was perfectly cooked. My oldest had a steak which he devoured and was cooked perfectly. My wife enjoyed her fish, and my youngest enjoyed his Mac and cheese. Our waitress was attentive and accessible. Prices are extremely competitive. I only wish there was a Cheddars within 30 miles of my house. While chains often miss the mark, this one doesn't. I'll stop at any Cheddars when the opportunity presents itself. read more

Stopped in on our way to D.C. We didn't expect much due to this place being a chain but we were very surprised! Atmosphere was great, lots of space, elegant decor and calm lighting. The service was impeccable, our waitress was extremely down to earth and kind. She made us out-of-to were feel comfortable and at home at cheddars. The drinks were HUGE. I had a margarita and my fiancé had some wild looking cocktail. Delicious and gave us both a good buzz. When the food arrived we were blown away by the quality. I got a HUGE salmon filet and the missus had herself a delicious chicken pot pie. We couldn't be any happier with our visit to Cheddar's. read more

I ordered Cheddar's to go because people always rave about their food. I ordered a kid's grilled cheese with mashed potatoes on the side. The cheese on my grilled cheese isn't even melted so it's more like a cheese sandwich. The mashed potatoes aren't seasoned at all. I also ordered a kids chicken fingers meal for my daughter. The chicken was juicy which is why I gave three stars but my fries were COLD and she literally ate them in the car after picking them up there was no silverware included in the bag and they didn't give straws for drinks. read more

Disappointing experience here. Service was a little confused as I was seated in "no-man's" land, but finally a server adopted me and the service was good from there. I ordered a chicken tortilla soup, which was salty but good. Then I had the lemon pepper fish, which was disgusting. It tasted like the chef opened a salt shaker on to it, and I could not eat it. I sent it back and they took it off the bill, but left disappointed. I might come back to drink some beers, but would never eat here again. read more

We come here a good amount of times, it's always a very good meal. The bar here is great, and they have such a selection of interesting and unique cocktails. It's pretty noisy in here and always busy, but the service is quick once you're seated. They have a great selection of meals to choose from, and you always get fresh, hot complimentary honey butter croissants. Pretty typically chain restaurant, but it's definitely higher up than many of the most popular big chain restaurants. read more

The pictures of the food looked great (2 stars for that lol); unfortunately we never had a chance to try it. We were there on a Friday around 2PM. It didn't look like a busy day at Cheddars. The waitresses walked by our table continuously seeming to avoid eye contact. We finally stopped a waitress after about 10 minutes and asked for our server. We waited another 5 minutes and decided to leave. We went to the front desk and asked to see the manager after a few more minutes the manager arrived. We suggested that if the waitstaff is busy they could at least stop by say someone will be here shortly or something similar. The manager didn't really seem to care so I can't see things getting better. We won't be stopping here again. read more

I'm not from PA but I came out here to spend time with my grandparents for the holidays. This is their FAVORITE restaurant and I now know why. My grandfather is handicapped and in a wheelchair and they were very helpful and accommodating, the inside was very clean and so was the restrooms. I really enjoyed the giant artisan fan in the dining room. It gave a really nice touch of creativity. Anyway, moving on to the good stuff, the server was very polite and quick, but the food! Omg it was awesome! I got a chargrilled chicken sandwich and I felt like I was at a cookout! Everything was above my standards and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. This is my favorite restaurant in York. It is my second time being here and the service is great and the prices are fair in my opinion. I took my girlfriend here for our 1 year and for her birthday and she enjoyed it as well. The food portions were good and I had nothing to complain about. Another thing that I like was that the prices for the drinks are listed in the book so you don't have to worry about ordering a 9$ drink by mistake. This is the girl friend, I just moved to the area and love love love this place, we can come out get some drinks have a delicious meal and leftovers to take home without spending a crazy amount. Nice thing about cheddars is that there are plenty of options. Honestly, the best items that I like to get are the sides. Cheddar broccoli casserole for the win! There are also was to get a lot of food for not a lot of money, like getting the chicken tender family meal for 24.99. Ton of tenders, 2 sides minimum and 1-2 dipping sauces. Haven't actually eaten here in a couple of years because of the pandemic, but their takeout/pickup service is great. read more

You know when a place is going down! I stopped in Cheddar's in York town, PA. We came in and place was half empty. The hostess was going to put us at a table. I asked if we could have a booth. She said there were none available. THE PLACE WAS HALF EMPTY! I ordered grilled salmon. With bourbon glaze on the side. I got heavily blackened salmon. I told the waitress, she put in another order for me. Came out medium blackened salmon and so so salty. I mentioned to her again. She said she will ask the manager to take off the bill. He didn't it. He took off the spinach dip appetizer. They probably thought I was a poor hispanic girl that was trying to get free food. Cheddar's - York sucks. We are out of towners so the prices for the meals were refreshing. The most expensive thing on the menu was what I ordered ($14). Their ribs were fall off the bone good. Our server asked me to check before I started and had them fire up another steak. My sister and wife liked their meals Tilapia and Salmon. Theirs was excellent and we liked the sides. So food and service were good. However, while ending our after meal chat, my wife found a straw wrapper with chewing gum next to the Ketchup (it was dark, so just missed it). I usually ask for a manager when there's a real problem or great service. I called the manager and provided my feedback. She's going to meet with the two departments. Is a pretty cool place that is across street from a brand new Hilton Tru property. Was lively and staff was pleasant. Had the chicken tender and steak combo with a cheesy broccoli and rice bake that was outta sight. The loaded baked needed some bacon and chives but good. You have to see pics as it is a huge portion of food for the money. Next time I will do tender and shrimp combo. My only dig is that they only had 3 beers on tap with no IPAs. Cheddars is always a solid choice for a good meal. I enjoy that their meals are reasonably priced with good portions. I've always ordered the Light Salmon with two sides. My Salmon is always cooked perfectly along with either broccoli and mash potatoes or a baked potato. Good frozen drinks as well. read more

We have been to Cheddars numerous times over the last few years. Sure, sometimes you wait longer than you'd like for your food. However their margaritas are killer and make up for the wait time. And at less than 5 dollars you really cannot complain. I've had sandwiches here, burgers, and entrees. The food is always good. The service is always decent (usually very good however). In fact, we've been brought the same appetizer twice in one sitting and instead of taking it back, they've given it to us for free. We really enjoy going to Cheddars for dinner. Steaks were over done, drinks had so much fruit there was barely any actual drink, our server took my boyfriends order wrong, so it came out wrong, she didn't know information about the drink that I was ordering and I would have stayed to get the whole check comped but she literally only had 4/5 tables with a food runner and drink runner and it still would have taken another hour to get it handled. It was easier to pay the $42 and leave. Terrible. This is a chain restaurant that seems to not have as many locations as they used to. However, this place is the bomb! I had the BEST experience here and I wish that there were more Cheddar's around. First of all they have a HUGE drink list and the drinks are extremely big, flavorful and cheap! I have never been somewhere and gotten as good of a deal on a cocktail as I have here. I got the Maui margarita and I definitely recommend. It's a total tastebud sensation. They also have a great menu with a huge list of sides! I definitely recommend the cheddar broccoli casserole! It is to die for! Everything my family ordered was delicious. Most us of got seafood and it was all perfectly cooked and seasoned. There really was something for everyone! And they also had an option to get a combo so, if you're life me and very indecisive you could choose a few different options! The place is also really pretty inside, they have a lot of light, a huge fish tank all of these pretty fixtures inside. The place is also very clean. We had a great waiter who was super awesome and attentive to us the entire time. He was super helpful with my dad who is hard of hearing and even told us to try a side out on his recommendation and if we didn't like it we could switch it out! Cheddar's is such a toss up. Sometimes the food is good, and I will always love their honey croissant- adjacent danishes. Other times it's mediocre and timely. The ambiance is lacking, the restaurant itself is rather Zen in style, but the clientele is often loud. My niece used to love the little corn- dogs though, so I ended up there a lot. read more

Man oh man this place...seriously one of the worst food experiences I have ever had. The ambiance is very nice, the staff seems nice, the managers were nice....but the food was AWFUL. Nachos...turned out to be a few burnt pita chips with burnt taco meat on them, and a small pile of sour cream and lettuce in the center. Wedge Salad...normally .one of my favorite things to order anywhere...was a cube of old lettuce with a drizzle of some white dressing on it. No bacon, no blue cheese, no tomatoes...nothing to make this anything beside a cube of lettuce. Gross. Steak? Can we call it a steak? It was about two times the size of my thumb. I have really small hands. I will not return. I will not recommend this place to anyone. I seriously question the taste buds of anyone claiming this place has good food.
