I could give the Louisiana Lickers 100 stars, I would. We absolutely love them! I used to work at the OG Quaker Steak and Lube do I love stopping and talking about my younger days! The wings were actually larger than they have been which is nice. For a while it seemed the wings were pretty small but these were perfect! We came in late and the place was pretty empty. To me, you don't go here for epic eats, you go here because you've always gone here and supported local businesses! The Pittsburgh ambience is real! The wait staff was just okay. We would've thought we'd have amazing service given the emptiness but we didn't. The food was ON-POINT though!! 10/10 for the cook that night! This was May 31 at 9:30pm

I was excited to see another Quaker Steak & Lube. I liked the one I'd been to in IN and when I passed this one in York, PA I immediately suggested we go here. Today I tried the Pulled Pork Sandwich. Mom got a bacon cheeseburger and Adam got the kids cheeseburger. Service could have been a little quicker but overall not much to complain about. This place is very solid if you are from out of town. Do recommend!

Chicken parmesan wings, cup of loaded potato soup, yummy and fill them up Philly cheesesteak. Our server, Peggy, was amazing. This location was clean & welcoming.

Robyne was a great waitress, she said my order was a good choice. Always love to see the decorations. Bathroom very clean with TV. Nice. The food was great, took some home for the wife. My buddies cleared house. Great time.

Look at how tiny this is. You'd think it would at least be good.

I was able to snag a last minute reservation about 2 days prior to Valentine's Day. I was looking forward to this dinner. I think it was very cute what they did with the menu, making it heart themed, the napkins were folded into little hearts and they draped pink tablecloths along with roses on each table. I had the Parmesan oysters to start, and they were small yet delicious. Unfortunately, the main courses just did not meet my expectations. I had the tamarind pork chops, and while the pork chops were soft and chewy, the sauce was not good. Just wayyyyyy too salty. I heavily struggled to finish the sweet potato and the parsnips as well due to the same issue. I did not finish. Service was excellent, we could tell Shayla tried really hard. Our table wobbled and she immediately tried to fix it. It was a busy night, and they had lovely piano music playing along with a busy bar. The aesthetic of this hotel is very nice, but unfortunately the bathroom was very dirty as well. Another pro side, would be free parking in the garage for the weekend even for this cute holiday.

I do think they forgot about me at first and the bar tender had to run back at least two occasions to check the kitchen. The service from the bartender and the dessert were perfect. That season dessert was so good and highly recommended it.

My wife had the fish and chips. Food was good and plentiful. Service was very good, ate with some old friends, there was no rush, they gave us plenty of space. It sounds bold, and it is, but it works beautifully. The broth is rich and deeply savory, the cheese pull is perfect, and the crispy rings add a texture you never knew the classic was missing. The pork chop remains the star of the menu--huge, expertly seasoned, and cooked with precision. It's widely considered the best in the city, and honestly might be the best in the state. Juicy, tender, and full of flavor, it's the kind of entrée you end up recommending to friends for weeks. Their octopus is another standout, prepared with surprising delicacy. Tender, not chewy, with a perfect char that adds just the right amount of smokiness. It's balanced, refined, and one of the most memorable small plates you'll find locally. And don't leave without dessert--the crème brûlée is phenomenal. Silky smooth custard under a flawlessly torched sugar crust that cracks just right. Simple, classic, and executed perfectly. Between the inventive dishes and the warm atmosphere, The First Post remains a must-visit for anyone who loves great food done exceptionally well.

The server did a great job with making sure that our drinks were filled, and we had to go boxes and brought our food out in a timely manner. Some of the appetizer choices were the calamari, fried kale and crab claw lollipops. All three were absolutely outstanding, and the portions were large. For dinner, our choices are rockfish, lobster, mac & cheese, filet mignon, or grilled chicken green curry. Again, the portion sizes were large and everyone enjoyed their meals. We were able to choose from a flourless chocolate torte or cheesecake. I forgot to mention that the Caesar salad was so fresh and the dressing was outstanding. I would like to come back and experience the restaurant and their entire menu. The upstairs had a fun, urban feel with a fireplace and a cool bar. We felt comfortable and it was a fun vibe.

You see, back in 17th century England, private houses would open their homes to the public and sell food and beer. Hence, public house. Over time, they dropped the "lic house" and just called them pubs. Because you never dropped the "lic house" makes me think that you haven't evolved like you should have. And frankly, your food is proof. In fact, it even made me nostalgic. But not in the way you might think. You see, I loved making fun food concoctions when I was a kid. My sister and I would watch this corny show called "Zoom" on Maryland public television, where the kid hosts would make recipes sent in from all over the country. We'd make homemade peanut butter cups using Jif and semisweet chocolate chips. Or weird sandwich combinations like pickles and potato chips and cheese and jelly. The seafood egg rolls weren't the worst part of my meal, but they were definitely sophomoric--as if a kid chef-in-training was asked to whip something up from Chinese food leftovers. Seafood should never taste fishy, yet these did. One bite hit me like something that had been sitting a little too long above the waterline. Not to mention, they were laying on a greasy glob of some mayonnaise accompaniment disguised as a fancy garnish you'd see on MasterChef. One word: Ick. The ahi tacos. Oh boy. My mind fills with seawater the moment I think of them because they tasted as if they had been fished right out of the ocean and then placed on my plate. They were wet. Soaked. Drenched. The gelatinous seaweed clump on each taco wasn't culinary-forward, just unappetizing. I took one bite and wished I could spit it back out, but I reluctantly swallowed it. My esophagus is now aquaphobic thanks to you. The moment the coconut jasmine rice hit my mouth, my tastebuds took the red eye to the coconut tree haven of the Maldives. Normally, this wouldn't be a bad thing, but the rice and coconut had no cohesion. It tasted like my younger self dumping a handful of shredded coconut--the sweetened kind my mom kept in the pantry for the wool on her Easter-shaped lamb cake--into a cup of microwaveable rice. The only redeeming aspect of our meal was your kind, charismatic waiter. He was lovely in every way--attentive, sweet, and helpful. He would have been an incredible host on "Zoom." If only his personality made the food taste better. For your sake, I hope you learn to evolve your kitchen's offerings beyond the amateurish trio I experienced. If not, your restaurant's bones may end up fossilized alongside every other place that couldn't adapt.
