Texas Roadhouse is famous for its hand cut steaks, so I was expecting a perfectly cooked steak along with a good experience. We were seated near the Kent's corner table. I've been to this restaurant before and didn't know anything of its history. I was curious about the framed napkin and pictures on the wall. A quick Google (what did we do before Google?) search revealed that Kent was the founder of the restaurant and well known for his people first leadership style and commitment to quality. Intriguing story that I encourage you to read for yourself. Now on to the experience. With a party of 5 for lunch on Sunday, I was expecting a wait time and surprised when we were seated in less than 5 minutes despite the restaurant appearing full. The server was pleasant and brought us our drinks, bread and plates quickly. The stack of plates were hot, wet and the plates had melted cheese stuck between the plates. The server apologized and brought out fresh plates that were still wet. I was annoyed but rather than be difficult, I used a napkin to dry off the plates. We ordered the mango margaritas. The drinks arrived quickly and were tasty. We ordered tater skins as an appetizer. The server removed the half full app plate from the table without asking if we were finished. I was mid conversation as she swiped it off the table like it was an empty glass. We were so shocked we were momentarily speechless as our half our apps were carried away. Everyone ordered steaks. We specifically requested four medium and one medium-rare. Three steaks contained no pink and were cooked well done. The other two steaks were cooked perfectly. That is a 40% on cooking execution. Our server disappeared so quickly we couldn't tell her that we received overcooked steaks. We waited for the server to return and after 15 minutes gave up and we ate them as served. The seasoning was good. Three plates were a combo with shrimp and it was delicious. The sides were adequate and nothing standout. Before leaving, I used the restroom and found it in disarray. The sink was not draining and had at least an inch of standing water in it and the paper towel dispenser was empty. I'm not a fan of using the air dryers so I left the bathroom with wet hands. I left wondering how Kent would feel about the experience- dirty plates, inattentive service, removing half consumed plates of food without asking, bathroom facilities in need of attention. I was disappointed. In a restaurant where the founder stood for quality, I felt the his legacy was tarnished. Restaurants should be clean, well trained servers, and have fully functional equipment. For these reasons I've knocked 3 stars off. read more

Chef reviewer. Family really wanted to eat here so I agreed to meet. Parking lot was packed and there was a 20 minute wait for our group of 4, but they do have call ahead seating. We were seated in the bar area, our waitress was either super busy, pulled to another table, or just burned out because it was time to go home because we didn't see much of her. Appetizers were pickle chips and mozzarella sticks and both had an off taste almost like they were cooked in oil they fried fish in. The steaks my dining companions had were tough and cooked to the incorrect temperature. Judging by another tables loud complaints of sending food back and not receiving it back in a timing manner we opted to just take our steaks home. The sides had a LOT of liquid in them. There was corn, but it was canned but with a LOT of seasoning. The green beans shared a similar fate, so it was like you got 1/2 a side dish. I had the chicken fingers which weren't even fully covered with a breading. The uncovered chicken meat was tough and stringy. They were VERY disappointing. Overall I'd say look elsewhere for a family dinner, $150 should reflect a somewhat decent meal. This was just sad. read more

We visited this location twice in the past three weeks and both visits were excellent. A couple weekends ago, Mary waited on us in the bar and was great -- she could keep an eye on us and never hovered but was always ready if we needed a refill or when we looked in her direction for something. This evening, Nola waited on us and we don't think we could have had better service; even though we never saw her visiting other tables, she always seemed to appear when we needed something -- to get our orders, to bring refills, to check on us throughout our meals, or to bring us our check. Our food was terrific as well, with our steaks done perfectly on both visits. We also tried the boneless wings as an appetizer and enjoyed them. And I tried the chili for a side and was surprised how tasty it was. We are both very happy with our experiences and also appreciated the reserved seating and remote checking in -- virtually no waiting on either visit. We donated for breast cancer awareness and got a voucher for another free appetizer so we'll be visiting again soon! read more

This has just been building.... The past 4 times we have been here, they haven't been able to get my wife's steak cooked properly. She orders medium well and it comes out bloody and undercooked every single time. And it takes forever.....and it goes like this Wr make the server aware when she finally comes around after the food runner drops off the food and disappears before she can cut into the steak.... The manager finally comes by after 10 minutes and offers to heat it up. That's it. No offer of a discount or taking it off the bill. My dinner is now cold from not eating it if my wife's not able to eat. So "NO" we don't want you to heat it up. Not only has our dinner already been ruined, heating it up after it's been cut open will only dry it out. So NOTHING done to make it right. Never again.....just terrible b read more

Average. That's about it. Possibly not even that. The entire thing has become a very cold, impersonal experience. You aren't even allowed to wait for your table inside anymore. You are told to leave and either go outside or into your vehicle. Then, when you are finally given the privilege to enter, you are herded to a staging area before finally being given the honor of a seat. Service is again very impersonal. The actual "server" barely does anything but take your order. Other people bring your apps, your salad or soup, your actual food. Why am I tipping the server again? The food is ok...but definitely nothing to brag about. There were so many up charges on my bill it looked like we had more people in our party...and she never mentioned these as up charges. She asked me if cheese and onion were ok on my chili, and then she up charged me for the cheese. Ridiculous! I try to avoid going here whenever possible, but that's where my wife wanted to go. It is insanely loud. Majorly overcrowded. The whole experience just doesn't do it for me. There are many other places I would rather spend my time and money. read more

I had dinner this location of Texas Roadhouse this evening. Service was great from our first contact with the hostess to our waitress and food runner. There was a 10-15 minute wait when we arrived that passed quickly. Despite the busy restaurant, we were seated quickly and received prompt service. Time to update the review because the last two times have been really good in all aspects, especially the service. Everything has been high quality and cooked as ordered. Or reasonably close. Sent a steak back and the manager brought it out with a replacement baked potato. No worries, it happens with very thick steaks. This place looks the same as every other Roadhouse and it's definitely Texas: big and loud! I am not a big fan of chains. Or waiting. Both of which exist here. The workers are usually pretty nice. The food is fairly consistent. The rolls and butter are really good. I appreciated the dinner voucher for veterans they gave out on Veterans Day. The last couple times we sat at the bar and Christian and Eric were really nice. And provided great service. read more

Solid place its like any other steak house. They do great steaks, burgers and chicken. Usually frequent here Sundays for lunch and the occasional date night. Never had a bad meal here and we typically order the fried pickles, rattlesnake bites (jalapeno poppers) side salad, chicken or steak entree and sides. Steaks come out grilled to perfection and their salads are pretty hardy with egg, cheese, croutons, etc. Our waitress this past Sunday was fantastic. She was also working the bar but made sure we had drink refills and removed plates almost as soon as they were empty. Came here for the first time ever because my husband's colleague gave him a gift card. We are not huge meat eaters and after this night, we've given it up completely but I have to say, everything we tried was delicious and cooked perfectly. The wait time wasn't too bad either for an incredibly busy night. Service was alright. Our waitress kept asking if everything was okay when we hadn't even received our food yet and twice forgot to bring our table steak sauce when we did get our food but she was very helpful. Nice restaurant with cool decor, your standard Texas Roadhouse. Staff is friendly and helpful, Rolls with cinnamon butter are a must to start off, ribs were over cooked. Seemed like they were prepared days in advance and just reheated. Didn't taste fresh, quality wasn't great. Although the ribs weren't good, I've had other good experiences here with steaks and burgers. Steaks are top tier for a chain restaurant and are always cooked to perfection. Burgers are also very flavorful. As far as sides go, the loaded baked potatoes, chili, and steak fries are all great options. I'm giving this 4 stars because I like Texas Roadhouse as a whole, but there's just some things I would avoid such as the ribs. Also, I wish they brought peanuts back. read more

I brought my Mom here for her birthday dinner because she loves Texas Roadhouse. Actually, my whole family does. Typically a dinner at Texas Roadhouse is a delight. My mom felt bad and mentioned that quite a few parties who entered after us were seated before us. To be fair, I don't think my sister used the call ahead number. My Moms birthday was on Saturday, and the restaurant was packed. Still, the hostesses seemed like they wanted to ignore us. And they did. Duly noted. Once seated though, our server was extremely sweet and accommodating. He took our drink orders right away. Though it was loud at the restaurant, he took the time to listen closely for what we wanted. Nice guy! Food was great! It's Texas Roadhouse! Yum! Ribs. Beef tips. Steak. Mashed potatoes with gravy. All our entrees were delectable. No thank you. There were 4 of us. Two kids and then my wife and I. The restaurant was hopping but we joined the wait list ahead of time. We sat down soon after our arrival. I ordered a beer. Took a few minutes but not bad. We ordered an appetizer and kids meal to start. The kids burgers came out semi-fast and hot. The cactus blossom appetizer came out fast, done right, and flavorful. Then.... Tank..... cue the crickets. The side salad never came. We waited... waited.. waited some more ... and some more.... And more........ Then we asked for a manager. Apparently the server forgot to ring in our food. This was a good 45min to an hour at this point. The kids are getting antsy. We broke out the phones and Netflix to keep the kids busy... still no food. Manager ended up comping our bill besides the beer I ordered. This was very generous. Yet, I truthfully can't give them more than one star. When we actually got our food, they did not include the side I wanted. The burger was hot and done correctly. My wife's steak was as ordered and hot. But when you have a toddler, a five year old, and have to sit for almost an hour without your meal.... Good Luck. Our food, and service was top notch until a lady came over and started sweeping the floor very close to us. We told her we didn't like it. She told us it must be done now but finished quickly. Then a few seconds later a gentleman came over and started sweeping the same area. I pulled up to this establishment in my 2012 navy blue Honda Civic, ready to pick up my food at the time I was told when I first ordered it. I sauntered through the frigid wind gusts and harsh temperature into the building. Alas, my food had not been there. Once more I ventured out into the arid climate to my automobile where I would have to remain until I was messaged about my food - that time did not come until half an hour later. For a third time I endured the adventure into Texas Roadhouse. I had been blessed to see that taupe food bag sitting on the counter. Quickly I drove fourty minutes to my abode with the bag with all my food sitting in the back seat. However, it turned out I was decieved. I had not recieved all of my food I had paid for. The steak I had been waiting for, was not there. I look out across my window, a cow was grazing in the field. Maybe there was cow shortage at the resturaunt. I have no idea why this place only has three stars? My experience was great! We went on a Saturday night and used the call ahead wait list and it worked perfectly; only had to wait a very little while after we arrived. If you're not familiar with Texas Roadhouse, it's a little loud but in a fun, casual sort of way. The rolls were awesome, particularly with a good helping of the cinnamon butter - careful you don't fill up on these! The wife had the salmon and I had the 12 oz. prime rib - both were great! We also had fried pickles, one of my favorite apps, and broccoli and steak fries with mine and broccoli and a Caesar salad with my wife's. The broccoli was very flavorful although slightly over cooked but not mushy. The service, which is a big deal to me, was outstanding (our waitress was Meredith if you're lucky enough to get her). Like I said, great experience for us and I would definitely recommend it to others. read more

We celebrated our son's birthday at Texas Roadhouse. We made reservation and didn't have to wait. The place was festive when we got there. The neon hues rendered a very inviting ambiance. Even before we got seated we were asked if we were ready to select our specific cuts of meats, as if we were at a butcher house or meat department in the supermarket! We didn't do our homework on selecting meats so we pretty much just arbitrarily pointed to the cuts that looked appealing to us. We had plenty to munch on as we waited for our orders. There was a BIG bucket of peanuts, and a basket of freshly baked dinner rolls which was so good we had to ask for refill. So the following ended up at our dinner table: Tater Skins for the app; a New York Strip with loaded sweet potato; a Sirloin with loaded sweet potato; and a kid's meal. The tater skins had bacons bits and cheese on them and we couldn't have enough of them. The strip steak was excellent, while the sirloin was a bit dry. The kid's meal was actually very impressive - Lil' Dillo Steak Bites with corn and a cup of chili as sides, plus a drink. We didn't know it was kid's night (Tue) so we didn't have to use our birthday coupon to have the kid's meal free. There was also crafts activities in the front corner of the restaurant for the kids. We spent some time there after our meal. For the birthday gig, they put my son on a saddle and get the whole house to shout "hee haw". Enough to put a blush on my son's face :) Over all, this place was plenty of fun. There were a few things to watch out though albeit very minor: the wait staff were trained to take your order in such a way to upsell an entrée. Any option they asked you for your order would most likely result in additional costs. For example, marsh mellows on your sweet potato. Also, only fountain drink come with the kid's meal; ice tea is not "fountain drink". read more

I always feel like my experience at Texas Roadhouse is just okay. It's always terribly packed and I find the food always leaves me wishing it was done a bit differently. We had a gift card so decided to give it another chance. I'm currently doing the keto diet and even though you'd think a steakhouse would be a great option, I was severely limited on side options. I got the 6 oz sirloin, medium, with sauteed onions and chili to go (since there were *no* keto-friendly sides). My steak came out a mix of well done and medium well. Our waitress was very nice, but very busy and did not check in immediately after we received our food to confirm everything came out right. I probably wouldn't have wanted to wait for another steak anyways, but it's always nice to be asked how things are. As far as the restaurant overall, it was uncomfortably warm and there were a number of problems with getting us seated. So, it's what I expected from Texas Roadhouse. Overcooked and overpriced steak with an overwhelmingly loud ambiance. I know that's their brand, so I do expect it when going, but I always expect the food to be just a bit better and it always disappoints. read more
