I put in my order for water and the Poached Benny. That comes with two poached eggs on a sausage patty above a thick slice of French toast topped with maple syrup beside hash brown potatoes. While one of my two poached eggs was slightly overcooked, it was still jammy in the middle and the other was a perfect poach. Everything was delicious, even the cut strawberry that garnishes the plate. The sausage patty is thick enough that I'm glad the platter is served with a more robust knife than the spreading knife included in the flatware bundle on the table. It makes assembling a perfect bite possible. The restaurant is clean and bright. The service was quick and friendly and dining alone was not at all awkward. First Watch with obnoxiously loud music and a little harder of an edge. And honestly, First Watch and Morning Fuel are part of the same genre. You know what you're getting. And the genre is over priced diner. As far as the food goes, I got the stuffed French toast with blueberry drizzle, and it was really good. It did its job. Still, a 20-minute wait for my food felt long considering it was just me sitting there listening to FM radio straight out of an 80's prom (hello, Mr. Mister's "Broken Wings"...literally).
