I can see Cheddars has gone back to pre-covid measures as soon as I walk in. No masks or distancing of tables and regular menus. They have done a good job on cleanliness, however, as the tables are very clean and the floors looks spotless at this location! First time at cheddars on a busy Saturday evening! Even though it was packed to the brim, we were seated after about 15 minutes. I noticed that the staff seemed to be very well communicated which is sometimes rare in a restaurant. Proper staff and communication is key to a restaurant. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive! I was impressed by the service! I ordered the half rack of ribs. For the affordable price, it was a decent meal. The whole menu is very affordable which is probably why the fries were a tad bland and the ribs weren't as tasty as they looked. Maybe it's because I had hardly eaten all day and was starving that this place was so good to me, but it really exceeded my expectations. After a day on the road we wanted something yummy, comforting, and open after 9pm. We called in an order and picked it up before heading home. I had never been to a Cheddar's before yesterday's visit and I can say I am definitely a fan! We arrived around 4-4:30 to find both the restaurant and parking lot packed. I never mind a wait because it's a good sign the food and service are worth it. We were informed our wait would be 20 minutes and it was only about 10. Upon seating, both our hostess and waitress apologized for our wait. I thought this was very kind and impressive because it wasn't their fault there was a wait and we didn't even mind. Our waitress was AWESOME (Sidney, I believe was her name). She was so friendly and attentive while also being mindful to not interrupt our conversations. She checked on us frequently without being overwhelming and even made good menu recommendations with it being my first time visiting Cheddar's. We ordered two appetizers, two alcoholic drinks, and two entrees with our total bill only coming out to about $52. We were pleasantly surprised! The food was so delicious and so were the drinks so it definitely would've been worth the money had the bill been higher. I've attached photos of our drinks and entrees. After 5 years of visiting them, I had to write an update. The food is really good, but the service is usually lackluster - probably 95% of the time. Today, I had the half Club Sandwich with a nice sized house salad for a total (with tax) of $7.35. Quality and quantity of food was great, especially considering the price. But it's just kind of slow to get drink refills or even corrections on mistakes on your order. They brought the wrong dressing for my salad (it was on the side) and it took at least 5 minutes to correct it. Even though he did two drink refills at the table. What happened to this place?? I guess the "now hiring" sign dangling loosely from the front entrance says it all. The only pleasant thing about tonight was the server. We ordered the chicken tenders and shrimp plate and the lemon pepper white fish plate. The first thing served are croissants which is supposed to be their signature and ours were hard and cold. Maybe day old batch? The tenders were good and the shrimp was overcooked then replaced with an undercooked version. The baked potato was cold that the butter did not melt and the sour cream just made it colder. It's just sad to see the inconsistency of kitchen staff or even quality control. They did have a manager standing up on dining tables changing halogen bulbs , let's hope he wasn't walking through a dog park before coming to work. Awful service, poor treatment from a blonde male waiter and manager. Waiter excessively swept dust off the floors next to the only two preoccupied tables for father's day. Both tables complained of this behavior, dust swept all in the air around the food. The waiter smirked and ignored the tables that had asked him to please wait. He stated "I'm trying to go home" at 7:30 pm. Manager had shrugged the behavior off. He seems to not have control over his staff, considering the waiter continued cleaning after being told not to. This will be my very first review on yelp and first complaint in a restaurant. If you value a restaurant that respects customers, do not come here. For a family that paid over $100, no customer should deal with this negative behavior. Took mom here for a mother-daughter lunch and were seated promptly. I enjoy the environment at Cheddars because it's a very calm, dim and very easy-going even when it's busy. We were greeted with their delicious honey butter croissants as we sat. We'd heard so many good things about the pot pie from Cheddars so my mom decided to order it and I got the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. We started with the chips and queso, very standard but good. It's hard to mess up queso. We both got a side salad to accompany our entrées and I think that Cheddars has one of the best side salads as far as chain restaurants go. Bonus points for them having the GOOD ranch. IKYKY! My mom was super disappointed in the pot pie because it had maybe one or two pieces of chicken, and the rest was sauce and vegetables. Also, the majority of the flaky crust was stuck to the vessel which it was cooked in and unremovable. I would say not to order Chicken Alfredo at a place that doesn't specialize in pasta, even though I did anyway. It was very underwhelming, I would not order again. Very bad experience today. No A/C in the restaurant at all. After ordering our food, a roach crawled onto our table. I immediately killed it, and notified our waitress (our waitress was really sweet). The manager the proceeded to come to our table and asked us "what seems to be the issue?" After notifying him of the roach, he then proceeded to ask "so what would you like to do?" I was confused as he didn't issue an apology, after he noticed our perplexed faces, he said "if you're not going to eat the food, you can freely leave and I'll take care of the charge." We took that as us having really only two options 1.stay and pay or 2. leave without any proper apology. Needless to say, we left. It's sad because we enjoy eating here, but after tonight we will not be back. This restaurant is in utter need of new management. Especially when they aren't willing to concede to the fact that they have a roach issue.
