First-timer to this San Antonio gem and I was pleasantly surprised. I love diners so this was definitely a nice treat after the MLK march. The parking lot is small but you can park in the neighboring lots as well. We were nicely greeted with a smile and charm after a 10 minute wait. The interior was warm and cozy with a more modern diner appeal. The layout is long but not wide with efficient seating at the counter and tables. The price is comparable to fast food but the amount of food for the price is amazing. You definitely get your money's worth. I got the Morning Wrecker, a chicken fried steak with hash browns underneath and biscuit on top. A fried egg and cheese smothered with gravy tops the biscuit. The biscuit wasn't as fresh as I would have preferred and it was hard and crumbly. Other than that the meal was very satisfying. I will definitely be back to try other options on their full menu.

The service was excellent, coffees and waters were never below half full. The food wasn't bad, I wasn't particularly impressed by the brisket breakfast skillet. The servings were large if that matters.

Always a good experience coming here. We get ourselves on the waitlist expecting to wait at least 30-40 min because... well, the food is worth it. First time trying their non bfast items with James as our server; hubs and I were not disappointed. I had the mamas boy and ordered extra jalapeños ($0.50) and hubs got the Lone star patty melt. Not bad but I'll have to stick with my bfast go to's

I decided to try Bobbie's for breakfast after hearing a neighbor rave about the food. The restaurant is very cute and homey, with just enough room. Our server was attentive and our food came out quickly. I heard the chicken fried steak was a must and even though I saw brisket hash on the menu, I had to give the cfs a try. My son ordered the Breakfast Wrecker. The chicken fried steak was really tasty, seasoned well with just the right amount of breading. I found the biscuit and fried okra okay, the ch fried steak was definitely the star of the show. My son destroyed his meal and I took leftovers home with me. I would definitely go back and try the brisket hash.

Morning Wrecker

Friendly staff and delicious food, what's not to like? Make sure to check the waitlist and join it ahead of time. Also, the parking lot can be tight, so be careful driving in. We tried the Morning Wrecker and Big Country Breakfast. The Morning Wrecker is a massive dish with a perfect chicken fried steak. The biscuit was a little thick and the gravy was a smidge salty. For the Big Country Breakfast with the banana pecan pancake. The pancake was perfectly fluffy and didn't need any syrup because of the prailine sauce.

Food and coffee were delicious! Service is excellent. Little hole in the wall, where ALL the locals go. We'll be back tomorrow.

For a starter we shared the cornbread with another couple and it was plenty for 4 people. If you are from out of town and looking for some Texas-shaped vittles or just want something substantial to stretch your meal I recommend it! Very tasty and filling. For my main I had the scallops with creamed corn risotto. It was a dainty portion but the flavors were nice. My husband had the short rib tagliatelle which he loved. It was very rich and filling. We had the buttermilk pie again for dessert and this time it tasted sweeter than I remembered. It was good but we couldn't finish it. Idk if it was my tastebuds or if it was different. Anyways still a great meal overall and we will be back!

Checked Yelp for dinner suggestions so Doc drove us to the paid lot next to where all the Cinderella lit up carriages drawn by horses were lined up. It seemed the boats going up and down the River portion of the Walk were busier. While we were walking I had my eyes open for a table with a view. We stopped at Four Brothers. The receptionist went over suggestions on the menu on her outdoor podium. Cornbread in the shape of Texas, shareable items like Dino ribs for $82, plus Pork Shank and ice tea completed our order. Everyone was very friendly. We had an exceptional view and we had more than enough food that we had to ask for take out boxes. My favorite was the Mac & cheese though I'm usually not a fan. This dish used cork screw shaped pasta and it was moist and not stuck together. I had to share a photo of it with Sweetie who is in Tokyo right now. Doc liked the pimento for the cornbread. As it was almost 9 pm we decided to pass on the boat ride but just walk on the other side with shops and more eateries. We're back on the road again tomorrow to Arizona.
