Upon entering, we got sat right away. Greeting took about 10 or so minutes. We never got a server, we were served by the manager. I didn't catch his name but he ended up taking very good care of us. Food was great. The restaurant was well decorated and they even had an all women mariachi band come in and sing.

Definitely my FAVORITE Tex mex place in SA. Tried something different on this visit. Normally I get the cilantro chicken. I tried the chicken fajita taco salad. It was really good. Not heavy. Just right for a lunch. We also tried the cilantro chicken tacos. Those were really good. The sauce was creamy and very tasty. Of course I'll be back. They also have a brunch buffet now which we'll def have to try. Go live Lisa's like I do.

Full disclosure, I knew this Lisa's back in the day when it use to be next to my Alma mater OLLU. I had so many positive memories of Lisa, her son, and how much I loved the food. Since it had been years, I didn't know if my memories would hold up. Things I didn't like... they charge for chips now if you want more. That's so ghetto. They didn't do that when it was next to OLLU. Our waitress looked stressed too and made decisions for someone at our table bringing him flour tortillas rather than ask him which he preferred. The positive? Aside from nostalgic memories, I have spent years in Houston searching for their Chile relleno. While I think you can get the same rice and beans in Houston, their main dishes are still outstanding. That Chile relleno was perfection, a perfect balance of ground beef, potatoes, and spices. That Chile relleno doesn't exist in the Houston area. We all had a pleasant time overall and everyone was generally happy with their meals. I'd go back if I was in San Antonio, but I'd probably ask for a discount on chips, cause that's pretty standard in Houston. Definitely a go to place just sad it isn't as perfect as it use to be during the days it was next to OLLU.

Mind you I'm here for a party so needless to say the food did take a while to get to us. I ordered a tortilla soup, my daughter ordered Lisas special, and son ordered the taco salad. My soup was SALTY. My daughter and son loved their plates. The margaritas were strong so it's a good bartender. The place itself is good, people were having fun and another party goers were dancing.

This restaurant has been a staple in the west side of San Antonio. Ive been dinning here since they were located on Commerce street. Their food and service have been consistently good. The new location provides a bar and music. Come check them out for yourself!!

Puffy tacos were good. The service was a bit slow during lunch, but it's still a great place to eat.

This was my second time visiting this restaurant and it was a positive experience once again. I ordered the chicken enchiladas, one with tomatillo sauce and one with poblano sauce. I substituted refried beans for charro beans which was a $.99 charge. Totally worth it. Look forward to coming back again.

I have been to this restaurant several times and it's always been good. The ambiance is beautiful and service is excellent. They have some very good enchiladas and drinks. The only complaint I have about this last visit was the smell. I don't know what happened but when we walked in it smelled like the toilets over flowed or something like that. I think they knew because the manager was trying to spray something to take away the smell but it didn't help. Hopefully they figure that out because it's hard to eat with that smell. We were very disappointed

I didn't need extra fat from avocado after the corn cakes since it doesn't add much flavor to the dish. The corn cakes are good and I will order again but not as good as some other cornbread. It came with 2 cakes. One was undercooked and one has a crispy crust. The undercooked one was my favorite. It is more moist with soft in the middle. Tuna Al Pastor has a kick but nothing special. Tres Leches was beautiful. 4/5. I like the fresh fruits to cut down the sweetness. The cake was a bit in the dense side. The icing on top was thick. I wish it was a fluffy whip cream to cut down from all the sweetness. Overall it's still a better tres leches than other places in the area.

Service is fast, place is decently clean for the foot traffic, the servers all look happy and eager to work. I ordered tortilla soup, I usually like it with a cup of rice and avocado like most places serve it. However, I definitely think this is a safe Mexican food restaurant when it comes to not overdoing it with spices and the extra stuff. My soup had a decent amount of chicken. I had a mimosa, loved that they used fresh orange juice. Flour tortillas were delicious! Before heading out you need to have the sweet bread!! So goooodd!

People say when in San Antonio, do like the San Antonian's. Nobody really says that. I mean, I just…read moredid, but I also just made it up. With that being said, let's make up a review. Except I'm not actually making the review up, I've been to the place. Both San Antonio and the restaurant moments away from being reviewed. I'm always down for solid Mexican food. It's always pretty damn good. I mean, at the pure base of things, it's basically the same few ingredients, just different vessels to get it to your mouth. I'm never bad about that. I love transportation. Mi Tierra was a pretty great looking place. Plenty of space, a nice outside waiting area, plus a bakery. I have never been to a place with a bakery that I didn't like. It seemed like a very authentic place, and that's coming from a resident of Michigan. A resident that eats Taco Bell. A resident who eats Taco Bell and think's THAT'S authentic Mexican. The first thing I noticed was that this place did not seem to serve burritos. Not a marker really for me, but it was something I've never came across before. I also thought that you were stuck ordering enchiladas or tacos in a meal type of setting. Upon further questioning, you can order a la cart. That was a relief. I ended up ordering the enchiladas Verdes because sometimes I ignore my color palate and go for green. And because I can't just stop eating one form of meat, cheese, and sauce, I ordered a taco. Actually, I just ordered a taco because I wanted a dryer enchilada. Or did I order the enchiladas because I wanted a wetter taco...I don't know anymore. Anywho, I ground beef, American style taco. Now, I've always been a big fan of chips and salsa. Some salsa hits, some miss. Some salsa is pureed and is basically red water. Some salsa is just a full tomato. I like my salsa like I like my orange juice. With extra calcium. Wait. Mild pulp. That's it. This salsa pretty much hit those notes. Had good flavor and a little spice left to linger. The main course came out and everything looked delicious. Green enchiladas looked exactly like I expected. However, it took me a moment to realize I was not looking at a burrito...but instead, my taco. It was served a peculiar way. wrapped, seam down, with a little bit of the meat on top, pico and lettuce on the outside, next to it. It was a burrito peacocking as a taco. I've never seem this display before, and I have been to many Taco Bell and non-Taco Bell restaurants. The taste was pretty good, though. All the taco flavor in a burrito jacket. The enchiladas were pretty decent, too. Everything tasted like it had all the ingredients and that they were in all the right spots. No doubt about it, I was full after e

Both my wife and I ordered breakfast plates--hers was the chorizo and egg and mine, huevos rancheros. The restaurant was empty besides one diner sitting outside with her dog and one family inside which should have been a red flag to stay away. My chorizo and potatoes were cold and my beans were not hot either. This was not like it had cooled down--cold. The ranchero sauce looked bad and all of the food on my plate had no flavor, no seasoning, literally no effort whatsoever. I had a bug crawl across my hand while we were there as well. She had the issue with her plate, food was not even warm. The tortillas were hot and tasted good so that was how I warmed up my food. Our waiter also decided that he would cross the street to go speak to a woman at the little outdoor patio restaurant across the street on the corner. Not kidding, he was there for at least five or ten minutes just talking to her. I have always wanted to try Tito's and wanted something new to us but I guarantee there is no way we will ever go back.
