    Grilled Chicken Alfredo
    Smith Family O.

Today Service was good but it was too cold inside the establishment. Food got cold way too quick and I didn't get to enjoy it or eat 1/2 of it because it was cold and I had to take it home. This visit was not what I was expecting and at over $70 spent, I was not happy at all. I ordered the spinach dip appetizer and the grilled chicken Alfredo which was also on the dry side and lacked flavor. My friend ordered the chicken fried chicken and placed a second order to go. Not happy about this.

This is the second time I've visited one of these restaurants, though in a different location, and I've had a similar experience. The place and atmosphere are nice and relaxed, with a good variety on the menu, from pasta to steaks. Their Painkiller drink is delicious! However, they don't seem to handle larger groups very well. This time, I went with just 7 people, and the table we were given felt too small and uncomfortable, with little room to move plates around. The restaurant wasn't busy, but our order still took over 30 minutes to arrive. When one of my family members mentioned the delay to the server, his response was just, 'Really? Oh wow,' with no apology for the wait. I ordered a medium steak with shrimp, but once again, the shrimp was forgotten, and the steak was overcooked (closer to medium well or well done). While the menu has a lot to offer and the atmosphere is pleasant, I'm not sure I'd return after this experience.

I don't even know where to start ... food was bland had nooo seasoning and was burnt from the croissants , fries , ribs & bacon on burger .. I should have took more pictures it was horrible . Worse experience I had out eating in a while .My drink was tolerable. Services were rude asf brining food to the table without saying a word . I didn't feel welcome I would NEVER COME BACK ! 0/10 *our server was nice just the food runners were really rude*

Got the country fried chicken plate not to be confused with the chicken fried steak plate. It was good. The service was okay. We were the only table for our server. Had to wave at server for refill of tea, servers standing by wall and hallway. Slow night. Not as busy as in the past. Restaurant temp was cold. Food was good, but not great. Restroom had a weird smell. Need to be mopped, I think.

Always love coming to THIS Cheddar's. They are hospitable and their food is always on point meaning delicious and hot. You may have to ask for sauces and stuff but they are great. If you have a rewards account for your bday with them they offer a FREE dessert. Dont say I never gave you anything

    Those Honey Butter Croissants

This is another one of my favorites. The food is always fresh. The staff is pleasant and the restaurant is family friendly. I went for lunch. Although they have a good lunch menu. I chose to order a 5oz salmon and it sat on a bed of rice pilaf, the salmon was cooked perfectly. I also had a side of green beans which were seasoned pretty good, and a house salad. I love their ranch dressing .... But you know what was the best were those buttered croissants. The came out hot with the honey butter dripping off of them.. They were great! Washed everything down with a sweet tea.. My waiter didn't miss a beat. It's a family friendly restaurant and they allow large groups to dine. I will be back!!!

    Chicken Dijon Chicken & Mushrooms

Although their service here is great, there's not that many plates I am happy to choose from. The quality of food from Cheddars has definitely changed over the years so I don't come here often but I came because I took someone out to lunch and this is one of their favorite places. The ambience was laid back and the server was nice and gave me some great recommendations. I went with the chicken Dijon and mushrooms with a side of carrots and broccoli and was able to almost finish my plate. My date had the chicken fried chicken and loved it!

The Monte Cristo was the closest we've tasted since Bennigan's! Absolutely delicious! The baked potato soup was also amazing! I will be back for that alone! Last but definitely not least, the broccoli and cheese casserole was scrumptious!

I went for my birthday and I completely fell in love with the monte Cristo. It reminded me of Bennigans. Everything was delicious. Our waiter John's birthday was the same as mines. He was nice and friendly. From the hostess to the other employees, everyone was nice and upbeat.

The waiter was attentive and got our refills as soon as they were needed. Our food came in hot and fresh. Everything was well cooked, flavorful, and tasted delicious. The setting was perfect and we had plenty of space to sit and not cramped with other parties. The restaurant had up to date beautiful structure and designs outside and inside. The menu is a bit limited, but they offered honey butter croissants on the house.

Derek H. Was our host and he did a spectacular job, recommending the ice cream and cake it was delicious and I'd recommend it to anyone having a sweet tooth.

We weren't seated in the greater eating area where it was cooler and maybe where the gnats were less of a bother. The food was delicious and homemade, you can tell it was made with high quality ingredients and that Southern skill that you can only get from helping Grandma in the kitchen. BUT the roaches made us lose our appetite. Such a shame. It seemed like the building went down. They don't seem to put as much effort into the condition of that place as they do the food. Dusty ceiling fans and crummy floors. I appreciate the homey vibe but it looked really junky, more stuff piled in unoccupied corners as before. I gave a lot of things the side eye, I mean it there has to be maintained asthetic. They charged an 18% gratuity on my tab for a party of 8 but I arrived with 4 people, the other 4 had already been there, paid and was almost done with their meal. Then of course the cashier/waitress still mentioned an additional, optional tip. I didn't think that was fair. At the end of it all she wasn't the best waitress.

A hearty patty is also placed inside of the bun and along with it are pickles, lettuce, onion and tomato. Check and double Check. Mayo is slathered on the buns, at just the right amounts that make it taste good, but not so much that it slides the innards of the burger all over the place making the chomping experience mushy. Flavors were good, I had just hoped the patty fit the bun a little better. The ratio was a bit more bun sided than oatty sided. My fries, crinkle cut, were seasoned well. Well enough that no ketchup was needed to dip them into for additional flavor. I would have liked a bit more crispiness from a double fry, but these were toothy enough to get a decent mouth feel. The meal for the three of is was about 47.00, so inflation has also hit my hometown dining places as bad as they have hit my current home near The Woodlands. Will i return to eat there the next time I visit Mom? If she wants to go, then yes, yes I would. I would also hit it alone just for their chicken fried steak or chicken. Ciao, Darrell
