We waited 25 minutes for a table but the staff was very friendly. Our server was very nice too. I wasn't until the food came that things went wrong. I ordered fried steak. My first bite tasted funny and there was a huge amount of batter so I scraped off the batter and the center of the meat was uncooked. The manager cam over and offered me another plate of the same and I accepted but everyone else had finished their meals so I got it to go. About 30 minutes later I ran to the bathroom...poop and vomit! IT was terrible food poisoning. It lasted about 3 hours and then my throat and tummy couldn't take more than tea and toast for 5 days. My husband called the restaurant to let them know. They said thanks and that was all! No sorry we poisoned your wife or let me give you a credit for the meal, nothing. I posted on Facebook about my predicament and I had 17 responses of people that had the same experience. 3 of them went to the emergency room. After eating at this Chedders location, I had to purge! I had the worst cheesesteak sandwich ever. Small bits of "beef" (I think, I hope), a horrible cheese over it and stale bread. My lunch made had the salmon, really bad broccoli and dry rice. I know the food is inexpensive but that's no excuse for bad food. First time here and it was less than expected. I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and a side house salad. The roll that came with the salad was wonderful while the salad was well dressed and fresh tasting, the steak had too much breading which defeated the idea of "chicken fried". Three of us had lunch here today. There was no wait and we were greeted and seated promptly. After surfing the menu we ordered onion rings for an appetizer. Simply delicious!! Lightly breaded, cooked perfectly and the dipping sauce was good. Two ordered a bacon cheeseburger and one had the vegetable plate. Well it was my first time going the other night and I will not be going back! The hostess were very rude to start off with. I simply ordered a chicken tender salad and THERE WAS A BUG IN IT! The bug was green almost exact color of the lettuce! I ofc not seeing it I almost ate it!!! I understand that just shows it's fresh greens but obviously not washed good. My friend got a servers attention (not our server) and I explained what happened and he ofc apologized and after that our server came over and had apologized, then he comes out with a fresh new one and at that point I just didn't want it nor pay for the other one. The worst thing is, is that NO MANAGER stopped by to apologize I've worked in a restaurant before and I know if something like that were to happen all of my managers would have came by to apologize. Just had our first experience at Cheddars and it was more than enjoyable. Our waiter Thomas was attentive and never let our waters run out. The manager even came by our table at the end of our meal with chocolate chip cookies for a great ending to our first visit. Upon my first visit, I ordered take out. I was told it would be 20 minutes. I arrived to pick up my order at about 15 minutes. I then waited roughly 30 minutes for my order to be ready. I received my order and only half of it was correct. They fixed the issue within another 15 minutes. Half of my food was cold, the other hot---and ended up without 2 of my sides. My wife and I popped in for a late lunch at 4pm and we had a great time , the waitress was nice and attentive , food was fresh and quick. Not very expensive nor cheap, just right. There is a Super bar here which looked like it would get very lively in the evenings . All they need is a decent DJ. Very bad experience....poor management and service. Called ahead reservations for 15 people 11:30 and told her that we would be on our lunch hour and asked if I could put our orders in no while on the phone and was told " no" that the kitchen wasn't open yet and it shouldn't be a problem. We arrived at our reserved time and got seated right away. Our server was polite but not efficient and told him that we were on our lunch hour and said that we would like to order. He had asked two to three times what we ordered. 20 minutes later brings out our drinks. Another 15 minutes later brings out appetizer. While sitting there waiting on our food (which none of us ordered steak or something that would take longer, just sandwiches and soup), saw the whole staff of waiters in the kitchen clapping and carrying on for a good 15 minutes. Server disappeared after that. We had to hunt down a manager (which blew us off). Our server finally came around after that and told us that our food should be coming out soon. Told him don't even bother putting them on plates and asked for to go boxes two to three times. After sitting there for an hour, still hadn't received our food and finally another manager came over and said sorry but food should be coming out soon. I had asked her why all the servers were in the kitchen clapping and standing there not doing anything and her reply was that they were doing pre-shift changes (whatever the hell that means). No empathy at all. Our food finally came out but on plates not in to go boxes like we had asked. I heard a lot of good things about this place. I also heard that one of the drinks called "The painkiller" was one of the best drinks. I decided to try it out for myself. Now, for a fact, if you like burgers. This is NOT the place to enjoy it. The burger well completely well done, I asked for medium well. It was dry and did not have any flavor to it. I was definitely not impressed. I also decided to try the painkiller. Which is pineapple and coconuts type of drink. That also did not have any flavor. The drink was not even cold and I felt like the bar tender who made it; was completely lazy when making it. I have not gone back since. Me and my gf have been long time patrons of the Cheddars in Brandon. We were quite excited to see one opening in Wesley chapel, much closer to our location. We came in a slow afternoon for lunch. I got the New Orleans pasta, a favorite of mine. The sauce, meat, and veggies were great. The pasta was a bit overdone. (I prefer al dente) and my girlfriends sandwich was a bit blasé but the tortilla soup and Bloody Mary were very flavorful. Our server, Nicholas was very attentive and friendly, but not overbearing. I have eaten at Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen twice and I was not impressed either visit. On the weekend the wait time is generally around 20-30 minutes. During each visit I tried two different options the first being spaghetti and the second fish tacos. The mozzarella balls (appetizer) were the best thing that I tried. read more

I am very disappointed in my most recent cheddars experience. I went to the one in Wesley chapel for the first time and got one of my favorites, the chicken tender platter. While the food was good; the size of some of the the tenders I received was not. Some were so small they could be considered nuggets. I have attached a picture. Went for dinner with the husband on a Thursday night and we were seated immediately. Everything we ate was delicious. We shared the cheese bites appetizer which was good but our main entrees were really fantastic. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with mac and cheese as my side and my husband ordered the BBQ chicken and half rack of ribs with mac and cheese and coleslaw. I absolutely love everything offered on the menu. The portions are generous and the service is super fast. My only complaint is that the small party of 2 booths my husband and I always get sat at are next to the busiest walk way where servers are constantly running back and forth. If you sit here you will get bumped into or have someone's butt in your face periodically and you will get to hear the gossip and complaints from servers as they pass by. If you're not down for that experience then I recommend asking to be sat in a different section. read more
