Slim Chickens has officially replaced Zaxby's as my favorite chicken spot! We live nearby, so we come here all the time, and it never disappoints. The chicken tenders are always fresh, and if you haven't tried them with the cayenne ranch dry rub, you're missing out! Pair that with the cayenne ranch dipping sauce, and it's the perfect combination. Another surprise favorite is their jar desserts. I've tried the strawberry dessert so far, and it was absolutely delicious. It's the perfect way to finish the meal. The service is great, too. The team is always friendly when we get to the drive-thru window, which makes every visit even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a new chicken place to try, I highly recommend Slim Chickens. We'll definitely keep coming back! read more

Came in yesterday bc the Leanne's Meal was free. I figured it was a perfect opportunity to try them out. This special includes a drink, fries, 6 piece tenders, and Texas toast. We waited patiently for it and it did not take long at all. After we arrived and got our food, it ended up getting busy around 730 pm so we came at perfect timing. The crisp on the chicken and fries were pretty good. Although the fries were quite salty and the batter of the chicken tenders were quite peppery. I had it with the Cajun ranch and the honey bbq. Perhaps the sauce made it peppery but I didn't think so and the honey bbq was pretty smoky. My fave part of my meal was the mixture of the raspberry and peach tea and lemonade and the Texas toast. I'm glad I got to try it with the great deal yesterday. There is seating with booths and tables inside and outside seating as well as drive through. read more

We were visiting family in the area for the holidays. This was their choice for lunch. And it turned out to be a very good one. We'd never heard of this chicken/fast food chain before. There's parking outside. Inside, there are booths, regular tables and high top tables. It was bright and clean. You order and pay at the counter. They bring the food to you when it's done. My husband and I decided to share some tenders. We chose their "hungry meal" which included 7 tenders, Texas toast, fries, and a medium drink. I swapped out the fries and ordered the side of potato salad instead. The meal also comes with your choice of two sauces (there are 6 house sauces for the tenders; and 8 sauces for the wings.) We chose one ranch and honey mustard. One of the things that I liked was that each menu item showed the calorie counts as well as the prices and what was included. The food was ready fairly fast. We got everything we'd ordered correctly. The tenders were lightly breaded and quite large in size. All white meat and very, very good. He had the ranch sauce, and I had the honey mustard. We each liked our choices. The Texas toast was okay (I gave it to him). And the potato salad was good -- light on the mayo, as I like it. I'd definitely come back here again in the future. Right now the closest branch to us is in Okeechobee, Florida. I'll be watching for more of their stores to be a bit nearer as they plan to expand -- and we hope more to be located in south Florida. read more

I'll be honest--when I hear about another new chicken spot, I usually expect the same old basic and boring. But @slimchickens completely changed the game. The restaurant was spotless, the staff was super helpful, and the food? Fair prices AND flavor-packed meals that left everyone at our table happy. Here's what we dove into: 6 Piece Tender Bites Meal tossed in sweet + smoky Honey BBQ sauce (Six buttermilk-marinated, hand-breaded chicken tender bites served with fries, Texas toast, a medium drink, and your choice of Slim's signature sauce. The Honey BBQ is perfectly sweet and buttery, riding that flavor wave with a 5% heat level.) Chicken Club Sandwich Meal stacked to perfection (A fried chicken breast layered with ranch sauce, lettuce, tomato, and crispy bacon on a toasted bun, paired with a side and drink. A classic done right.) Buffalo Chicken Wrap Meal with just the right kick (Hot buffalo chicken tenders wrapped up with shredded cheddar & Monterey Jack cheeses, crisp lettuce, and fresh tomato in a warm flour tortilla. Spicy and packed with flavor.) Buffalo Tender Mac Bowl Meal - creamy, cheesy comfort food with bold flavor (Creamy mac & cheese loaded with breaded chicken tenders all tossed in bold buffalo sauce. Comfort food with a fiery twist.) Nilla Banana Pudding Jar Dessert - rich, nostalgic goodness (Rich banana pudding served in a branded Slim Chickens mason jar--perfect nostalgia with a reusable keepsake.) Strawberry Cheesecake Jar Dessert - sweet, tangy perfection (Sweet, tangy cheesecake flavors rolled into a lush mason jar treat.) Chocolate Brownie Pudding Jar Dessert - chocolate lovers' dream (Decadent chocolate brownie pudding, layered in that signature jar--pure bliss) And the coolest part? The desserts come in branded Slim Chickens glass mason jars you get to take home. How awesome is that? This spot seriously exceeded every expectation. Delicious food, fair pricing, and unique desserts = we'll definitely be back to explore even more of the menu. --- #SlimChickens #ChickenDoneRight #SundayEats #FoodieFavorites #MasonJarDesserts #ChickenLovers read more

I figured I'd give this place a try since I was playing golf at Lexington oaks which is 4 minutes from this location. Came in to a very clean establishment. The restaurant was probably 25% of capacity, while the drive-thru was packed. This was the first time I have ever came here so I was not familiar with the menu. The young lady behind the counter was more than helpful and help me along the way. So I went with the four-piece tenders with fries some bread and a drink. Everything came out piping hot temperature wise. The chicken tenders lacked flavor to me they were just bland. Now the french fries were pretty awesome and the bread was good. I did get the mango habanero dipping sauce which is really good and I asked for another what she gave me. Overall it was okay, so I'm not sure if I will return or not. read more

I really wanted to like this place. It's got a nice set up. It's clean. It's convenient, but it's just not worth the money. Went and tried a couple of different things. I got the five and five which was a wing and tenders combo and the slim meal which had like five tenders in it and an extra thing of the garlic toast and a milkshake. The tenders were practically nuggets. I was very disappointed in the amount of food you got for the price you were paying. While tasty it just wasn't enough. It was like chicken slivers instead of chicken tenders. The wings were good normal size wings would you get anywhere nowadays. The fries were good and crispy and the milkshake was decent. My son really liked it but he likes chicken guy and chicken fun more. read more

This was my second time trying Slim Chickens. I went through the drive-thru to pick up my order. I ordered five tender meals with lemonade. However, when I got home and opened my box, I found only three tenders. It was disappointing not to receive the full order. I recommend checking your Togo order before leaving, as it seems difficult for them to get the count right. The food was still delicious, but the tenders seemed minor, and the fries weren't fresh. I still enjoyed the honey mustard, and the Cayenne ranch had an outstanding balance of flavors. I hope my next experience will be better. read more

First time here! This morning, while waiting for my car to be serviced nearby, I walked in for brunch and tried their Chicken & Waffles. I was honestly pleasantly surprised, the waffle was fluffy and the chicken was delicious! I have to admit, I have drove past this place a few times and wasn't super excited about (another) chicken joint - but they're worth a try! Also worth mentioning, their peach sweet tea hit the spot; and the cashier Krystal was great! Their dessert jars look super cute also, I'd love to try those next. read more

Used to be on the hunt and obsessed with nail places, then coffee shops, and meanwhile I still enjoy visiting those establishments, I am lately a lover of all things that include ice cream... like Milkshakes! I've seen a few Slim chickens pop up around Florida and my go-to milkshake spot was a bit further than I had time, so I decided to give this place a try... I can only speak to the milkshake. I would say it resembles Chick-fil-A's oreo milkshake, about 80 percent. (Chick-fil-A is not my fav milkshake spot btw, but I agree theirs are good, too). Did I enjoy the milkshake? Yes, because I finished it way too fast. Would I be back to satisfy my sweet tooth? That's a yes. Because I still have to try their "dessert jars" that looked super good on the menu. :) read more

It is about 4.25 stars. Main reason are the place is clean. Food wait time is short. Friendly store clerk. Good selections on food. Crispy coating. All these reason make up the good restaurants quality. We got 3 & 3 meal. This meal include three chicken tenders, three chicken wings, fries and garlic bread. You can have the sauce on the side. We have garlic Parmesan and inferno sauce. Those are my recommended sauces. I also recommend 3 & 3 or 5 & 5 meal. For fast food, I would said very fast the food come from kitchen. read more

Food tastes great honestly but the portions since they first move here in to Wesley chapel have gotten about 50% smaller. I remember a chicken strip being about as long as my hand is. You know, about the size of every single chicken strip anywhere else. Now i can fit 3 in one hand. My wife's chicken wrap i got her that she usually gets from there has always gotten a lot smaller. These are 6$ meals at most, not 12$ meals. Less fries also. It was great stuff while it lasted. Chickn fun here i come (right next door). read more

Stopped in at Slim Chickens finally after having wanted to go for a while! I was so excited to check them out because my neighbors had been ordering their food and raving about it, so I thought I'd finally try it out. I went through the drive through so I wasn't able to experience the inside of the restaurant but from what I could see, there were a lot of people dining inside. The menu is extensive, which a bunch of different meal choices, but I went for the chicken sandwich and fries (because the girl who helped me out recommended them) and the Smokey cheddar wrap. When I ordered I waited about 10-15 minutes or so for my food, which was a pretty long time for a fast food drive through. When I got home and got the chance to try everything out, sadly I was pretty disappointed in what I received. The chicken sandwich was extremely overcooked and hard to chew, the tortilla on the wrap was so chewy and impossible to eat because the texture was not good. What I can say is that the fries were amazing and the ingredients inside the wrap itself were great. The sauces, we tried the ranch, spicy bbq and sriracha garlic, were incredible. I may have to give it a second chance and try something new, maybe their chicken tenders, but I was just so sad because I wanted it to live up to the hype read more

We had Slim chickens for dinner on their first opening day. TLDR: we'd probably go back and try again because the price point is good (and we live right behind it so it's convenient), but we also really like chick'n fun, which is basically next door. Took awhile for us to order (expected for first day). Mac and cheese was 5/10. Kinda Watery. We ordered like 8 of the sauces to try a few and we liked most of them. Oreo milkshake was just like chik fil a 8/10. Tenders were crispy and I feel like they have more breading than Zaxby's. I like Zaxby's more. My husband said they're about the same to him in rating. The Texas toast was soaked in butter it was kinda gross lol. The chicken sandwich was good. Also uses the same butter spread as the Texas toast so it's like eating a Texas toast chicken sandwich. I prefer Chick-fil-A sandwiches over that. They do tiered cake desserts in a mason jar for $6. We'll definitely be back to try those when we want something sweet. Lol. We took drive thru so can't speak for the inside atmosphere yet. read more

Pretty much everytime I go there there's something missing from the order and it's horrible! The fries are never hot and crispy! The chicken is chewy and when I ordered the fried okra it tasted freezer burnt and it wasn't fried completely! When I called to speak to the manager just to give feedback I was met with gaslighting and was told if I wanted crispy fries I had to order them extra crispy!‍‍ It didn't stop there I was also told the timer is set to a certain time ummmmm I've ordered okra before and it was NEVER undercooked and horrible! Then after reading the horrible reviews saying the exact same thing I'm saying. I called to speak to the manager again, supposedly a new one picked up, but mind you the first childish person I spoke to was in the background talking about me and what I said when i initially called in. Mind you I was calm, respectful and didn't cuss! I was just leaving feedback,so they can improve their service for the food we are paying for. The so-called manager sat on the phone and didn't say anything when I stated the last manager never took accountability for the food, and the reviews are all saying the same thing regarding the bad quality of the food! There was never an apology, no accountability just someone sitting on the other line not saying anything like Michael Myers lol. Just weird after I finished what I was saying I had to say "well okay have a good night", because someone had to be the adult during the conversation! Again no I'm sorry, take care, bye, just silence! Smh I'll never go back! THE food is lackluster and Chick-fil-A would NEVER! read more

The service was very good. Went during lunch time, and it wasn't overly busy, which was a plus. The menu is extensive, and they provided us a to go menu. The good was hot and fresh. My kid loves the fries and is a fry snob. The BBQ sauce is good, and chicken was flavored well. Will try other menu items. Ambiance seemed nice. They have an outside patio area where you can eat under the shade. read more

Don't get the bone-in chicken. Taste like the kitchen staff boiled, then baked, then seasoned the chicken. My lemon pepper wings were definitely under seasoned because the parts that weren't seasoned taste like baked chicken. The chicken tender basket, bread, and sauce taste EXACTLY like Raising Cains though. I recommend sticking with the tenders and Texas Toast (that was very good). read more

We visited slim chicken over the weekend. I saw that they recently opened so I wanted to give them a try even after seeing some of the review were a bit mixed. The inside is nice I love the guitar wall art in front that has Wesley Chapel written. The menu is a good amount of items to choice from for a chicken based restaurant so that was nice to see. I got the Buffalo chick Mac and my husband got a club sandwich. Both my kids got the tender meal. Now the service was not as great as I expected very quick and a little on the tude side but we looked past it. Skin chicken makes all there food fresh so we waited I feel the right amount of time for all of our food to come out. Now I will say my bowl was almost overwhelming with not only Mac and cheese but more shredded cheese and not just fried onions also scallions I feel like they should just do one and not the other and keep it true to Buffalo chicken Mac and not topping galore. The chicken club was okay but the bread is like a buttery garlic bread which was very strong in butter. And the kids tenders were good they enjoy it. So I know they are probably still working out some kinks so maybe we will try them again in the future. read more

Texas Toast is crunchy and flavorful and Mac and Cheese delicious as well...for a quick place the food is excellent and the service as well...no pictures since Everytime I have been here, they dive into their meals before I get pictures..they have grilled options for Chicken as well... read more

Now Open. Service was pleasant. The food looked great. It was quiet and not that many people inside yet. A lot of traffic going in the drive thru. We went on a Sunday around 11:00AM. Once people see the place is open, I know more will go. The food gets delivered to your table. The only reason I knocked off a star, is because the sauce in buffalo wrap was very soupy. It ran down my hands every time I took a bite. We will be back though. read more

Disappointed in this location. The food was "ok" but obviously had been sitting all day, not fresh at all. And while I waited in the drive the through I got to watch 6-7 teenagers messing around inside and not working. I didn't finish my meal as it was cold and tough. read more

Terrible service- this location should take notes from chick fil a. Hopefully, this was a one of experience for me and not the norm. Person who took my order was rude, order was incorrect then had the audacity to tell me I placed said order instead of just correcting it. I was really looking forward to making this a regular spot but think I may just stick to other establishments after a very poor experience I had. read more

Okay so it was recommend that we try this place and so we did. Nothing fancy to me just another Zaxbys in my opinion. Food was fresh, hot and seasoned. We were almost done with our meal and then my husband took a bite of his last wing and it is under cooked. What a disappointment. Good thing we ate at the restaurant because we were able to address it and we ended up with a refund. Would I try again. I doubt it read more

I recently tried for the first time and it was good but nothing crazy. I prefer PDQ or Zaxby's because I felt their chicken was a bit dry and overly breaded, however it still wasn't bad. The fries are ok nothing special. I did really like the toast. In my opinion they could have a better sauce collection as well, the sauces I got were just ok. Don't try their sandwich or wraps but they looked pretty good. The cashier was ok not that nice, and our food came out quickly. read more

We ordered a three and three combo, it includes three fried chicken wings, three chicken tenders, two Texas toasts, French fries and a regular drink. The wing and tender tasted good. The coating was crunchy. The meat was juicy. The fries were fresh, not overly greasy. For the sauce, we tried mango habanero which I liked the most. The garlic parmesan was OK. The infernal supposed to be the spiciest, but it was too sour for me. I liked the drinks option. The raspberry tea was my top favorite. We answered a survey and got a code to redeem a free brownie. The brownie was moist, rich in chocolate flavor. It was pretty good. It's a brand-new building. The interior sitting area was comfortable with guitar decoration on the wall and three TV so people can watch the game while eating chicken. The service was friendly and very fast. I barely saw any newly open restaurant operating in such high efficiency. From ordering food, delivery, cleaning up, all the services moved very fast. There are 2 lanes of drive through order. Their employees stood by the lanes to help out. I'm glad we gave this place a try. Now there is another good option for fried chicken. read more

I am convinced whoever works the drive though is high as a kite every time I go. I keep going back because the food is really good! I love their wrap. But EVERY time I go they forget multiple things in my order. That's why I'm only giving 3 stars. Do better! You have so much potential!! read more

I appreciate the staffing to handle unforeseen Friday foot traffic and beginning of weekend crowds. The food wasn't fresh hot and mainly warm (including fries). The restaurant was very clean and maintained by dining staff. They did an excellent job clearing tables and asking customers if they were finished to take their trays. I will return on a future visit once the newness acclimates to a level of proficiency. However, I saw today's dining experience as a solid 3 with improvement to be made with time. read more

Being the first day, the place was packed. The drive through was very slow but I think it was just the first day traffic that caused the slow down. Staff was nice and asked if I needed anything while I waited. Food wise, starting with the low... The mac and cheese was sad. The large was very small and the Mac reminded me of middle school cafateria food. Everything else was fantastic. The sandwich was good but the tender meal definitely gives you more bang for your buck. By far my favorite sauces were the sweet chili and the Sriracha garlic but I really can't knock any of them except the inferno. Inferno tasted like a mouth full of flaming dirt. The chicken was nice and tender, crispy and crunchy, and we're nice a juicy. Will definitely be back for more tenders and to try the jar desert. Great customer service and quality food. I love their house sauce too! Give it a try, if you haven't already!!

I think that Slim's chicken may have given me some form of Alzheimer's. It was so decidedly "meh" that I sincerely have no memory of having eaten there. I know that I did eat there, because I took my family there, and they told me i ate with them. Plus, I have a receipt from there. The receipt says that I had chicken strips. The most unremarkable chicken strips in the history of processed chicken. I don't know if they were good, I don't think they were bad, I think that they were so incredibly mediocre that they left no impression on me at all. I remember being hungry and pulling in to slim's, then I remember driving away, not hungry anymore but with a grease stain on my shirt. I'm pretty sure that their food tastes like boredom. Every meal should come with a neurological exam. Just in case. read more
