Good Lunch I've been wanting to try this restaurant for the past 3 months, but I've always been deterred by the empty parking lot. Today I stopped by for lunch and ordered take out. The restaurant including the restroom was very clean and inviting. The service was fast and friendly. The menu offering includes a huge variety of fried or grilled items including chicken, fish. They also serve sandwiches. I ordered the #4 - 10 Piece Large Shrimp Combo served with fries and a drink. Everything was cooked to order and served HOT. The shrimps were fresh, lightly battered, crispy, and tender. My only complaint is the fries could have used salt or seasoning. Ordered the Philly for me, & Chicken Bowl for my hubby. I liked mine. I asked for no onion, and hot pepper. It came with cheese, mushroom, & green pepper. Many visits and first review. This little place has a big menu and they prepare to order. As a kid who spent summers on a farm I love some fresh cooked gizzards and I don't have to cook them myself. Wow! Great food, good service and amazing price. I was craving some fish and saw they had specials. I went inside to check it out and it was cleaner than most big name fast food joints. The options were almost overwhelming, and the prices were from a decade ago, leading me to order way more food than I should have. The fish was cooked to perfection. My family randomly pulled of the Wesley Chappell exit to get gas after leaving St Pete Beach and decided to go to Chuck' Fun. The menu was extensive, the restaurant was clean, and the manager hustled it for us. The food was made to order and was hot and fresh. My family had crispy chicken sandwiches which were much larger than fast food joints. The fries were cooked perfectly. My grilled Bassa had a great seasoning and the rice and beans was excellent. You order at the counter, and they bring your order to the table. It might appear like a fast food established, but our order was prepared when we ordered it. My chicken lacked seasoning, although fried well, hence one star reduction. The chicken livers were supposed to be a half pound, but appeared way more. So of course, Saturday afternoon we drive-in what fun we had . Varied menu, crab legs, fried fish, Gyro sandwiches, and of course the fried chicken. Ordered the fried chicken livers, which were fantastic along with a little buffalo sauce on the side. Delicious well prepared. Breading's not too heavy. Opted for the drive-through since it was blazing hot outside order was relatively quick, packed, beautifully steaming, hot upon arrival. It is good mixture of customers. Which mean they are popular. The order is at the counter and delivered to your table. We got the fried shrimp meal and gizzard meal. The side we got is the salad and the fries. We also have coupons with additional grilled fish and chicken tender. Both additional coupon meal are delicious and same as the fried shrimp. PSA: Chick'n Fun has AMAZING boneless chicken wings. We've gone here about 3-4 times now and every time, the wings are HUGE and the chicken is juicy. The gyros are STUFFED with meat (sorry no pic) and also really good for a fast food joint. We always do drive thru so I can't speak for the inside of the restaurant. My chicken sandwich was good, but it is not on the levels of Popeyes or Chick-fil-A. My wife ordered a Gyro which was quite good too! But the winner of the night was definitely the fried tilapia! It was really tasty and some thing we will definitely go back for. They have any extensive menu, so the Chicken name is a bit misleading. I used the drive-through and waited quite a bit of time, roughly 20 minutes. I think that was just due to a really large order a few cars ahead of me. They were at the order window for a long time, so I will just chalk this up to a one off for now. Plus they gave me enough time to create a new Yelp page for this business! Just a small suggestion, increase the offerings on the kids meals. Just one isn't enough and a milk option for a drink would be nice. We will be back to see what other items we can find.
