My first experience at Dave's Hot Chicken was fantastic! We were greeted by Corey, who took the time to answer all of our questions and help us explore the menu options. He provided exceptional customer service from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. To top it off, Corey offered us samples of the milkshake flavors, which turned out to be the perfect sweet treat after our meal. The food was great, the atmosphere was welcoming, and Corey's outstanding service made our visit even better. We'll definitely be back! read more

Tried Dave's Hot Chicken at Wiregrass mall and overall had a good experience. I ordered the mild chicken, which was a great option for me since it wasn't spicy. I was hesitant to try this place because I thought they would only have hot/spicy chicken. The chicken was crispy, had flavor , and the tenders were big. I really enjoyed the sauce but flavor of the chicken left a slightly weird aftertaste, which kept it from being a 5 star experience for me. I ordered at the kiosk, and the food came out fairly quickly. The counter service was also good the staff was helpful when I had questions, and the restaurant was clean with plenty of seating. read more

Nice tender bites of chicken I got the medium..not too spicy and you get Dave sauce with your french fries. Do yourself a favor and add the honey onto the bites or some extra sweetness! Don't forget to ask for ranch dressing or other dipping sauces when you order it's an up charge if you forget. I don't like that. Tell me upfront that you have to pay for sauces. Their menu does not say sauces are extra!! actually I don't see sauces at all on their menu... read more

I ordered online for pickup and my food was ready when I arrived. The store could have been cleaner, so I'd give cleanliness a 5/10. Two drink machine options also weren't working. The chicken sandwich was hot, seasoned well, and tasted great with the sauce. The fries were decent too. Overall, good food and plenty of flavor. read more

Dave's Hot Chicken - Dave's #4 1 Slider with Fries - Chicken Shop Near Me - Wesley Chapel, Florida

I went into this place around 1pm for the first time. Ordered on the kiosk but proceeded to the counter to grab my drink cup and the guy behind was very nice. Asked me if I need anything to let him know as well. I ordered the #3 with medium and mozzarella hot. It did not disappoint. Slider was put together well but the medium taste was a perfect blend of hot and sweet. Chicken was crispy and cooked well. Mozzarella was good, Portion size was also really good for $20. Ranch cup was worth it as well huge cup. Overall a great lunch spot for me. read more

Dave's Hot Chicken - What I ordered - Chicken Shop Near Me - Wesley Chapel, Florida

First time having Dave's Hot Chicken and I was pleasantly surprised. The portion sizes we worth the price. I liked how the fries were seasoned and crispy, especially after getting it for takeout and it sitting in the box for a bit. The chicken sandwich itself was tasty, crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and not dry like some chicken sandwiches are. The bun paired nicely with the chicken. I got my sandwich hot, but honestly it wasn't spicy to me at all; I'll probably get the next spice level up if I visit again. Also, the sauce was a nice addition. Overall, pretty satisfied with this meal. read more

This place really surprised me in the best way possible from the moment I walked in! I was greeted by the nicest staff who gave me a delicious fruity pebbles milkshake for my birthday, the food was incredible and so fresh, and the restaurant itself is spotless and super cute. I hadn't been to a Dave's location before this so the staff explained how the seasonings and spiciness options work and everything and I truly appreciated that! This is one of those places that I'm really excited to return to! read more

* * * * * Hot! Hot! Hot! I was immediately greeted by a friendly customer service associate as I approached the counter upon entering the clean and organized restaurant. Since this was my first time dining at Dave's, I wanted to keep simple as a first-time customer. I ordered the 10 Piece Dave's Bites (white meat chicken tender bites) served with a slice of bread, pickles, and side of Dave's sauce). The bites were very good, and I regret I didn't order more. The chicken was hot, fresh, perfectly fried, tender and extremely HOT on the palate. Not a fan of Dave's sauce. I wish it came with ranch instead. We LOVE Dave's Hot Chicken! We went the first week or two after they opened the Wesley Chapel location and the service was just as good then as it was last night. The food is always hot and is ready fairly quickly, even on busy nights. It's like an open concept dining space with concrete floors so it can be a little loud when they're busy but they also have a little patio with umbrellas! We ate at the restaurant last night so these photos are what we took home. I got their 2 sliders meal with fries and medium spice. The sliders are topped with coleslaw, pickles and Dave's sauce. My husband got their 2 tender meal with fries and hot spice. The meals come with one side of Dave's sauce and 5 pickles; and their pickles are the best You may be able to tell from the photos but the tenders are huge pieces of chicken and like Nashville hot style. They have quite a few levels of spice and I would say their medium is a true middle of the road - flavorful and spicy but not overwhelming. My husband loves spice so he's tried their hot and extra hot and enjoyed both. Again, we love Dave's Hot Chicken and will continue to come back as long as we can find parking The Wesley Chapel location is in the Wiregrass Mall parking complex so finding a parking spot can be a little challenging at peak times. read more

1st time here and I like it! Loved the customer service...Warm greeting and the staff here had no problem describing the different flavors and levels of "heat". I went the safe route w/ "medium" but kinda wish I went w/ "hot" for the challenge However, the food quality was good! Huge chicken tenders and nicely seasoned fries. Clean restaurant; cool wall decor; rockin' music. The prices are a bit steep (no drink included), but a good buy overall! read more

Dave's Hot Chicken - 2 Chicken tenders and fries - Chicken Shop Near Me - Wesley Chapel, Florida

Had a slider which was delicious. Fties and sandwich were very crispy and the seasoning was right on. Nice warehouse graffiti vibe and clean. But how long does it take to make a chicken slider at a fast food joint that basically only has that on the menu, when there is no line? Over 10 minutes is a long wait for the product here. read more

Heard quite a lot of good reviews about this chicken chain, and I was pleasantly surprised! Chicken is very crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. French fries are also very fresh, and the Dave's Sauce paired well with both chicken and fries (in my opinion) Service is very efficient. Inside is very busy and bustling, there is sure to be a line during dinner rush hour. Despite the constant flow of customers, the tables and bathrooms are clean which I appreciated. read more

I paid $18.92 for a number one meal with an extra tender, but it didn't come with a drink. For the price I paid, I believe a drink should be included. In my opinion, the MEAL COMBO was costly. You could stretch your money to PDQ, Raising Cane's, or Hangry Joe's. I ordered our food to go, and although it didn't take long to arrive, I noticed about three employees standing behind the counter, leaning against it and chatting with one another pretty much the entire time. The dining area was quite open, and the kitchen and ordering station noise echoed throughout the room. Overall, the food was mediocre and did not leave a lasting impression. The fries were just average. The chicken had a nice dry rub and tasted fresh, but it wasn't worth the price. The highlight was the Dave sauce, although I believe Zaxby's and Guthrie's offer better house sauces. We ordered two medium tenders and one hot tender. I preferred the medium spice level over the hot, as the hot tended to leave a tingling sensation on my lips, but I wouldn't want that flavor on all my tenders. read more

Delicious fried chicken- perfectly cooked and well seasoned. I got the medium spice but could have gone hotter, will try hot next time. Love the crinkle cut fries! And the sauce is everything!! We eat at Dave's quite often and we love the food and service, but tonight was a little different, in a disappointing way. We ordered our regular meals and found they made a mistake on the requested heat, as well as made sandwich instead of the strips we ordered. In addition to that the chicken strips were easily half the size they normally are, each visit they seem to progressively get smaller and smaller. I think it's time to find a different chicken place, Wesley Chapel has plenty new ones to choose from. read more

We would appreciate better accommodations for large parties who wish to sit together. Our family drove over two hours to dine here, and we were very upset to learn that we had to sit separately. We were told the tables could not be moved, even though we offered to return them to their original position. This made for a disappointing experience. As for the food, considering how popular this place is, it was only so-so. The meat was tender, but the breading was unpleasant--bland, tasteless, and not enjoyable. The presentation also needs improvement, as the dishes did not look appetizing, and I regret not taking a picture. Even the bread tasted old. Overall, the experience fell short of expectations read more

Another chicken spot, but it did not disappoint! It was actually surprisingly good. The price was reasonable for 2 burgers (they call them sliders) and fries for $14. Can work for 2 adults. Added one drink and a side order of a tender for our toddler. The spice level can be picked and the "medium" was reasonable. I don't very spicy and it was manageable, very tasty. It is cumin forward in the dry seasoning on the chicken and reminiscent of Indian dish spices. Love it! The chicken was crispy and particular because there are dry spices over it. The sauce is a creamy condiment sauce, reminds me of chick fil a and very good. Fries were too salty and we returned them to get a fresh batch of unsalted. They were fresh, crispy and delicious! Would come back! read more

Dave's Hot Chicken - Dinning room - Chicken Shop Near Me - Wesley Chapel, Florida

Wesley chapel definitely doesn't have a shortage of chicken places to choose from, with that said if you have never tried Dave's Hot chicken it's a must on your list. From the flavor to texture and moist strips. These guys know what they are doing and have managed to keep it consistent across all there locations. The service could use some help, less talking to each other and being on phones and more customer interaction and less attitude when asked questions. I sat and observed staff being irritated with being asked to do what they are paid to do, keep tables clean, offer Dave's sauce, ketchup, water cups. I love that they took the former place and converted it the way they did. read more

Since this place opened, it had been on my list of places to try in Wesley Chapel. There are so many chicken places in the area, but I was interested in trying hot chicken from here. I've been to Nashville and tried the famous Hattie B's hot chicken and loved it. So I was curious if this would be a similar experience. The cashier was nice and helpful. What wasn't helpful was her interpretation of the heat scale. Her comparison of "medium" was "hot Cheetos". I respectfully disagree, because medium was not hot at all. I'll caveat by saying that I did not eat my food fresh. We ordered take out so I didn't start on it until maybe 15-20 mins after we received it. So maybe that made a difference. By comparison, Medium at Hattie B's is kinda spicy. So in the future I'll try hot. The restaurant seems to be a hit. Always packed with people and has a buzz just above fast food. There's indoor and outdoor seating. I'd recommend trying. read more

O M G ! This is HANDS DOWN the best chicken place that offers the chicken tender/toast/fries/coleslaw combo. So many of these types of chicken places have opened up and Dave's is the best for sure. I've tried so many and this is the only place I'll eat the coleslaw in the sandwich. It's so delicious. From the crispness to the flavor everything was divine. Definitely would recommend 10/10. The service was great as well, no complaints there and the ambiance was nice too, the place is new, looked clean and the artwork inside was cute. read more

This place is very well organized and has great service food and environment Logan is a very hard worker

Overpriced. Meals don't include drinks. Mozzarella sticks are sold out nationwide?? That was the only reason I came so... meh

Dave's hot chicken is now open in Wesley chapel in the Wiregrass mall. It is located in the old Irish 31 location. I've heard great things about this hip chicken spot and happy we now have one in our neighborhood. I ordered the 10pc Dave's bites with fries meal. You can select your heat level. I'm not a big spicy person so decided to try the medium bites and it was so good and flavorful. Not too overpowering on my tastebuds. For the tenders and sliders, those come in a variety of hot. Great location and addition to this area. Very popular and a long wait. Also, parking is a nightmare so pack your patience. read more

I've been meaning to go to a Dave's Hot Chicken, and I went opening day, and again last Friday. Dave's is definitely going to be a staple in the Wesley Chapel group, the food is not the cheapest, but, no place in the area is anymore. The place is very clean and has a nice floor plan, with a very inviting theme, with fun and upbeat music. The people say hello when you walk in, and the front staff are quick to ask if you have any questions. The food itself the first time wasn't perfect, but, opening days rarely are, this time the food was cooked perfectly (I'm going for the two slider meal, and I get Mac and cheese (my wife and I share this meal). The heat is definitely there, but, not too bad, and the sliders (compared to the tenders) have quite a bit of sweet sauce mixed in. The Dave's signature sauce I always will get a few packets, and I use it both for dipping the sandwich and the fries. The Mac and cheese seems to have a bit of heat, so beware (but enjoy) and the cheese fries are definitely worth it. read more

The joy I had when I found out Wesley Chapel got a Dave's hot is unmatched. lol. Literally none of the fried chicken spots around here can compare. We went to another new chicken spot by the grove just before this opened and for the same price, we got maybe a third of the protein. Dave's hot tenders are HUGE. I will say, I wasn't a fan of the nuggets. We got them hot and as you can see by the photo, my sandwich and tender plate didn't even look the same as the nuggets in terms of seasoning. Honestly looked and tasted like plain chicken nuggets. I won't be getting those again but I will be back for the tenders and sandwich. Service was fast for it being their first week open when we went. read more

Great, lively vibe as soon as you enter the place, a bit noisy people said but I enjoyed the music and the crowd. And boy! It was busy till the whole time we were there. Menu is not so vast I would say but the limited options of chicken sliders and nuggets could be leveled up for your taste buds ranging from mild, medium, hot . The loaded fries looked scrumptious but too much cheese and peppers for me on that so we just chose the popular chicken sandwich. That did come with some yummy sauces along with well seasoned fries. Top loaded chocolate and Oreos shakes are a rave at this place however, the frozen slusher "mountain berry ' seemed like a just the right option on the hot sunny shopping spree day for us. The place is packed with every age group specially the younger crowd and best of all it is halal. Had a relaxing time. Menu is limited though but good quality food and we got our food in a short span of time. The servers were helpful and quick in taking the orders. A lot of mobile orders people came, grabbed their food n left but for the people who dine in did not have to wait too long for our food. Food came out fresh, the place is clean. Another good option for fast food option. read more

Yet another chicken restaurant in Wesley Chapel, but this is definitely up there. I stopped by a busy week night when kids were off from school, but I was still able to place my order quickly at the cashier and waited for my order at one of the tables. Cashier asked if I wanted additional Dave's sauce and other sauces when my order was ready to be picked up at the counter. There is adequate seating to accommodate a busy night, but parking outside can be a nightmare as there is limited parking in that small area outside of Dave's. Portion sizes are large (the chicken sandwiches are bigger than you think) with a side of crinkled fries that are well seasoned and crispy. I really liked the coleslaw in the sandwich too. I will definitely go back again! read more

Dave's Hot Chicken - Dave's #2 2 Sliders w/ Fries - Chicken Shop Near Me - Wesley Chapel, Florida

Really mid. Going up against the other chicken palaces in Wesley Chapel (unofficial chicken capital of the world), this place is not one I would recommend or return to. It's akin to Nashville hot chicken with sweet/spicy dry rubs. The chicken tenders were HUGE so don't be put off by only being able to order 2. However the portion of sauce given is seriously lacking for how dry these are. I had to use a lot of honey and still felt like I was coughing it down. I opted for slaw which was tasty, but nothing to write home about. My husband indulged with the top loaded fries which were better because the chicken was less dry with the ingredients already mixed. In addition, this was a to-go order and they didn't automatically give utensils which was a red flag. We ended up eating inside and found it highly unusual that there were no condiments or utensils to grab, you had to ask for everything. Your hands will be so sticky and coated in seasoning and honey that you'll need a wet wipe... but they won't have them. The interior has cold chairs and is overall uninviting and extremely loud. I would not return! read more

PROS.., Fries were good CONS... Chicken was not good, seemed like it was cooked in old dirty oil and I went there 30 minutes after it opened. After being to 6 different Dave's hot chicken locations in Florida I can honestly say that this is the best one

Service was great, friendly and quick turnaround. However, I believe I had different expectations of the chicken. Instead of being presumably fried. It was coated like shake and bake in a seasoning that tasted like blackening seasoning for seafood. If that sounds appealing to you, then great, you may really like it. The chicken tenders were large and fires were ample, with the same seasoning on them which was delicious and much better fit than for the chicken. No dedicated parking others then the online pickup unlike the other businesses in the immediate strip of stores and there wasn't any parking even at 2pm. If someone in your party has mobility issues , you may have to drop them off as even handicap parking was limited. See for yourself if shake and bake blackening seasoning on chicken is up your alley but if you've had Memphis hot chicken, please note , this is not it!!! Culver's or Huey Magoo's had better, more moist chicken. read more
