Smoked wings. Delicious . So elevated!

Great friendly service and really the best wings we've had in years! We'll definitely be back soon, hopefully for brunch! Everything is scratch made and really delicious. The porch seating is amazing. Don't miss this place!

Food was delicious! The fried chicken was nice and crispy, the salmon was delicious.

Southern Fresh was deliciously surprising from start to finish. We ordered the salmon and fried chicken, and both were outstanding. So good we cleaned my plate. The banana pudding and cheesecake were the perfect ending, absolutely amazing. Great service as well. Will definitely be coming back.

Neighbors wanted to try this place so we gave them a go. Started with a couple of bottled beers. They have no domestic draft. A little disappointing considering the bottle beers are almost $6 each. Neighbors got some sort of local apricot draft. She liked it he loved it. Two of us ordered the fried chicken and I got the catfish and one person got the pork chop. I would say if the prices were lower it is a great deal but being that everything is priced at over $20 seemed a little much for what we got and the atmosphere of the place. I thought the chicken was good but not great. Green beans I guess are southern-style which I found out I don't care for. I like mine crunchy and kind of firm. These are soggy and vinegary. Coleslaw was creamy but not my cup of tea. My homemade is much better. Mashed potatoes were great. I would definitely get them again. Pork chop was a good size a little hard to cut and eat but neighbor liked it. Catfish was very good. Tartar sauce good but not thick and I like it really cold in temperature. The star of the show was the chocolate chip bread pudding. I would give that five stars all day long. All in all a good visit and I'm sure we'll be back because the neighbors are a fan.

Crispy fried chicken.. order the mash, it comes with "magic gravy"

Full menu is back.. but don't bother, just order the crispy fried chicken, be sure to get the mashed potatoes side, it comes with a special "magic gravy".. everything else is just eye candy and a distraction.. oh, the banana pudding too

Beautiful view of sunset from Southern Fresh restaurant

Southern Fresh is our favorite restaurant in Safety Harbor. We have regulars since they opened. They have wonderful atmosphere with easy access. Lots of outdoor seating with an inviting firepit! It's nice to sip wine around or just eat a delicious dinner with the Southern twist. It's a family owned business with true focus on great food and customer service.

After church our group of six wanted to try a new place, for us. My wife and I, niece and boyfriend, with granddaughter and friend were a group of mixed tastes. We called ahead and arrived quickly, good thing because it is a small restaurant. We were seated immediately and brought menus and drinks. A little uncomfortable due to closeness of tables. Ours was next to soft drink and ice machines so had constant traffic. Staff was very friendly and efficient. My wife chose the grilled chicken salad, niece and boyfriend shared a shrimp cocktail and side salad (they had a late breakfast and didn't expect to go to lunch). Granddaughter and friend shared a plate of chicken wings, which were huge, and I picked the grilled meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans, with a side of collards that looked nice. We had a bit of a wait for food but no problem since it gave us a time to talk. Our drinks, mostly waters, were constantly refilled. After a bit food came. Chicken salad, wings and shrimp cocktail were very good. My meatloaf and potatoes were very good but not great. However the Collard Greens were absolutely the best I've ever eaten. Super! In all, a nice small spot for very good food. Just expect tight quarters and have patience.

Fried chicken, greens, mashed potatoes, and sangria.

Love the setting of the restaurant - it's in a repurposed bungalow. We also sat in the front of the restaurant - it's bright and cheery and quiet - would definitely recommend this spot if you can snag it. The atmosphere in other parts of the restaurant are cozy too - but this spot feels very quiet, even though it's upfront and next to the front door. Would love to come back for another visit. Bonus is getting to visit the market on Sunday right afterwards!

The burgers are Wagyu Beef based and deeeeelicious! I ordered the Sonny Corleone which was the aforementioned Wagyu Beef topped with Swiss Cheese, Sautéed Mushrooms and Onions....fantastic! Terri ordered the Speak Cheesy Burger which was the Wagyu Beef topped with homemade Mac and Cheese and then smothered with melted American Cheese....amazing. The fries were a notch above and their Onion Tanglers were thinly cut onions rings and one gets to choose from a large list of dipping sauces...we went with Bourbon BBQ and Disco Dip. The BBQ was a sweet sauce and the Disco Dip was a light brown gravy. Both were very tasty! The Prescription Lemonade adult beverages were veeeerrrry good as well, one Strawberry version and one Blood Orange. Service was excellent...and it was a quiet place. We talked briefly with the couple at the next table as they were also "dog" and "horse" people. Overall a great experience....I found out later that they also play classic movies in their back room for a definitely unique date night option for people.

It has a pretty amazing bakery section when you walk through the back door to enter the restaurant. I was starving and picked the biggest thing on the menu which is the smokehouse platter and you get a ton of food with this platter (Brisket, pulled pork, quarter rack of ribs all served with coleslaw, Texas toast & side of fries.) I thought the price was absolutely amazing because you get all the food for $28.95. Needless to say as starved as I was, I couldn't even finish the whole meal. Our server was Scott and he was pretty amazing and he was training a new hire and I'm sorry but I can't remember her name but she was equally great and explained the menu really well. It's really a bonus that they stay open till 11 PM Thursday through Saturday. So anything you get that is from the BBQ...they bring out this 4 pack of house sauce. I tried each of them and all were great and had their own unique taste. Chipotle White, PD BBQ, Korean BBQ, Carolina BBQ. The Korean BBQ was definitely my favorite. The chipotle white is kind of almost like a mayonnaise in my opinion. The inside while definitely fresh and clean looking...it does have a sort of rustic, actual prohibition older type feel. They do have a cute bar inside if you choose to stop for a drink. The ribs were the worst I have had in my entire life. In fact, before Prohibition, I didn't know ribs could be bad. It's either little meat or juice fall off the bone. The ribs at prohibition have NO meat and what meat exists is SO dried out that you can't get it off in order to eat it. They were completely inedible. The flavor is peppery but no meat comes off the bone. It's like a chew toy for a dog. The rosemary fries are ok. The chicken sandwich is dry and flavorless and the risotto shouldn't be called risotto. Gordon would have a lot to say about that risotto. But those ribs went straight into the garbage. What a huge waste of money. If I wasn't with a group of strangers I would have said something. So much effort was spent on the outside of the building and none on hiring people who can actually cook. I walked out with a $50 tab and still hungry. Major disappointment. I cannot recommend Prohibition Dunedin unless it's only for a drink.
