Such a cool vibe at Gigglewaters! It's actually a movie theater as well, but they also have a lovely bar and restaurant. The outdoor patio is beautiful, set under a big tree that gives the whole place a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Inside, the bar has a fun Prohibition-era theme that's really well done. They have an expansive cocktail list with tons of classic drinks as well as unique house creations. The drinks were excellent, and you can really tell they care about quality since everything is made in-house, including the juices and syrups. They also have a solid food menu, although we didn't eat during our visit. Service was friendly and timely, and overall this was a great stop during our day in Safety Harbor! read more

Recommendations came from 2 or 3 stores throughout town. Food was absolutely GREAT! Cheeseburger was fantastic along with mac and cheese. Sandwich really good. The service was super! Our waitress was extremely nice. She answered all of our questions, took her time and offered recommendations. It was almost like we were her only customers. HOWEVER...we were outside in front. Fairly crowded and very nice. UNTIL I had a dog come by and lick my hand that was near my lap. Totally unacceptable. WE DO NOT NEED DOGS out of control on a patio. Management should have a constant watch on them and perhaps put them in another section. Yes, I understand that the owners are ultimately responsible but Gigglewaters management can certainly enforce any dog rules. (if in fact they have any). I went for a movie. I enjoyed the experience overall with the movie and the food was good. In the theater, the seats were comfortable and I had a good view even from the first row. The one negative is that the tables were way too small to share with a friend. The tables are only suited for one person in my opinion. I ordered a side of fries and a cheesecake and it was difficult to have my two small items and my friend's meal on the same table. It made eating uncomfortable so it discourages me from ordering food in the theater area if I ever visit again. read more

My friends and I did not have a great experience during our first visit to Gigglewaters. I wrote about it on Google, and the owner responded. I came back after that visit, and I want to give credit where it is due. Rachel reached out to me personally and the way she handled everything showed real care and commitment. It meant a lot and it made me willing to give the place another shot. This return visit was a completely different experience. The service was warm, attentive, and the staff felt much more in sync. The drinks were strong in the best way and came out fast. We ordered the Goldie mac and cheese and it was packed with truffle flavor. The sauteed mushrooms were cooked perfectly and the blend of cheeses gave it that warm gooey finish that hits all the comfort notes. We also went with the Commissioner burger and holy hell it was huge. We could not even finish it. The sweet salty savory mix in that burger was something else and the photos do not do it justice. The ambiance is really cute too. The movie theatre in the back is a cool concept, even though I have not had a chance to check it out yet. Outdoor seating in the evening is a great date spot with a nice relaxed vibe. I really appreciate the effort Rachel put in to make things right and re energize my trust in the place. You can sit outside or inside, and there is a theater in the back with inexpensive $5 movie tickets for oldies but goody movies. Decore was def that early 20th century vibe. My mom, husband, friend and I enjoyed dinner and a movie the other night. Their flip lights for service during the movie was a cool idea. The previews on the screen before the movie were old style and brought the nostalgia. We ordered a few apps, entrees and drinks and everything was great. Had an unconventional ask that the waitress get a bag of ice for my mom who just had knee surgery so she could sit through the rest of the movie. Our waitress was great, don't remember her name but she was very nice and attentive throughout the experience. Have been here a few times before but this was the first movie experience. Gigglewaters.... We'd heard they served a pretty good burger here but one here's that a lot about places. This speakeasy themed place is a treat! The burgers are Wagyu Beef based and deeeeelicious! I ordered the Sonny Corleone which was the aforementioned Wagyu Beef topped with Swiss Cheese, Sautéed Mushrooms and Onions....fantastic! Terri ordered the Speak Cheesy Burger which was the Wagyu Beef topped with homemade Mac and Cheese and then smothered with melted American Cheese....amazing. The fries were a notch above and their Onion Tanglers were thinly cut onions rings and one gets to choose from a large list of dipping sauces...we went with Bourbon BBQ and Disco Dip. The BBQ was a sweet sauce and the Disco Dip was a light brown gravy. Both were very tasty! The Prescription Lemonade adult beverages were veeeerrrry good as well, one Strawberry version and one Blood Orange. Service was excellent...and it was a quiet place. We talked briefly with the couple at the next table as they were also "dog" and "horse" people. First trip to Gigglewaters, but not my last! We sat outside but the inside is cute if the weather doesn't cooperate. I had the brunch burger and it was cooked perfectly. We tried the ricotta cheesecake and the blueberry cheesecake. Unfortunately the ricotta cheesecake was still frozen, but the flavors were good, so maybe we'll have to ask next time before we order it. Taking it home might have been a good option as well. First time customer and I really liked this place. The bar is very nice and there are tables inside and out. We were there for lunch, but apparently there is a theater in the back where you can enjoy a movie and order from the menu. The menu is really nice, with lots of choices. I settled on the Mac and cheese which had a bacon jelly on top. This would have easily been a 5 star review except that my food wasn't even warm. Holy smokes, if you like grilled cheese, and if you like cheesy gooey burgers combined with grilled cheeses this is an absolute gold mine! I love how cheesy everything is here. Please note though that the grilled cheese in only available after 2pm! Inside they have an entire wall of all of the awards the restaurant has won. What a neighborhood gem. All of the awards are well earned. Apparently there's a movie theatre in the back too. I didn't go back there though. Up first, the $18.50 Gigglemelt! OMG an all-timer 10/10. It's literally combining a cheeseburger with a grilled cheese sandwich. And the cheese is hot, gooey, and melts down your sandwich. It's freaking perfect. I also tried some: Goldie Mac - truffle Mac N Cheese - Excellent The Bigelow - Mac N Cheese with bacon - Excellent You can't go wrong with any food item that has their famous cheeses. Our server was friendly and attentive. Food - Very Good. I had the smashburger, which is advertised to be the best in the world. It was very good, but "best in the world" is a lofty claim not achieved. The bread was toasted perfectly and the burger was definitely quality beef. Not only is the movie selection top-tier, but the level of creativity and attention to detail put into the themed menu and overall atmosphere is unreal. Throughout the film, they incorporate clever surprises that bring scenes to life, creating a true 3D, surround-sound-in-real-life effect that pulls you right into the story. My old-fashioned was wonderful. Dinner was even better. It was such a lovely night for alfresco dining and I absolutely devoured my burger. It was gone so quickly I didn't even snap a photo. Again, service was great and everyone loved their meals. I wanted to order dessert, but they ran out of the chocolate mousse cake, so no treat for me, but Ill definitely visit again! There is also a small movie theater in the back. For an additional fee, you can grab your dinner or even some popcorn and watch the night's showing. What a neat concept. Gigglewaters was highly recommended by a bartender at another restaurant I had had a beer at. The walk from my hotel revealed many other places that looked interesting but I am so glad that I made the walk down to Gigglewaters. I walked in and was warmly greeted by the bartender and other patrons at the bar. I immediately got a vibe that this is going to be a fun place and boy was it. The bartender made me an amazing old-fashioned, their Whistlepig 1919. It was so good that my one drink turned into three. Good thing I was walking. Time to eat so I asked the bartender for a recommendation between a burger and a chicken sandwich. She recommended the coward Robert Ford because I liked pimento cheese. This sandwich was absolutely amazing. Chicken was crispy and the gooey melted Pimento cheese was a perfect compliment. It was absolutely one of my top three chicken sandwiches that I've ever had. The vegetable of the day that I got was actually some type of rice to cauliflower that tasted a lot like mashed potatoes. It was delicious as well.. I was so happy that I followed the recommendation and went to this place. I can't wait to go again the next time I'm in Safety Harbor. read more

Every time I come to Gigglewaters, the next thing I try is my new favorite! The PB&B burger was so juice as the flavor combination was amazing! We also had the frito pie as an appetizer which was delicious! Our server Richard was THE BEST. He was personable, gave great recommendations, and was so friendly. It can be hard to get a table on the weekend, but it's worth the wait! The whole place has such a great ambiance and the decor is fun! On our last trip to Saint Petersburg for my birthday, we visited my friends who live in Safety Harbour, where we went to dinner at Gigglewaters. Our friends had raved about Gigglewaters for their cocktails and burgers, so naturally, when we finally had the opportunity, we checked it out with them. Upon entering the white-brick building after passing the front patio, you walk into a splendid speakeasy-style bar that reminds you of the prohibition era, when people asked for "giggle water"--slang for alcohol--back in the 20s; hence the name of the restaurant and bar. Between the tin ceilings, Edison lighting, and upcycled wood of the bar area that resembles historic bars of the turn of the 20th century, Gigglewaters creates a cool and collective environment to enjoy the food and drinks. Sitting in a set of black-leather booths across from the bar surrounded by red and gold paisley wallpaper and a rich ceramic-pattern ceiling, we noshed away on amazing garlic bread popcorn and cocktails such as the Noble Experiment, made with Four Roses, plum, black cherry, club soda, fresh sours, and luxardo cherry. The cocktail was delicious and refreshing, while the 1919 old-fashioned delivered on its classic ingredients. Food-wise, it could have been better. I wasn't that fond of my burger, which was a bit dry despite asking it for medium rare. Being that I ordered the Meat Wagon, I didn't taste the butcher block bacon that seemed to be non-existent. While the regular bacon strips were solid with the fried egg and cheddar cheese, the burger itself was disappointing. Having also ordered a Reservoir Dog, which comprised a bacon-wrapped hot dog and deep fried, I found this item to hit the spot a lot better. In fact, the hot dogs delivered a lot more than the burgers, which the latter is what Gigglewaters is known for. So, while it was disappointing from the restaurant's known reputation for great burgers, the hot dog made up for it. I will have to return to try more items to see whether my burger experience was a fluke and what other items may be standouts. I do like the concept of Gigglewaters, and they do well with the ambiance, cocktails, and whiskey, in addition to the movie theater they have on-site to watch classic films. read more

We tried the Gigglemelt and the Robert Ford. The Robert ford was amazing but for my personal preference the gigglemelt had a bit too much cheese on it . Definitely bring your appetite because the portions are monstrous. The cocktails were 10/10 as was the service. Fun hidden gem would be super cute for date night! Came for a birthday party where they rented out the back movie room. You have a little table at your seat and a light to turn on which tells the waitress when you're ready to order. They even give you pencils and paper to write it down so it's not disruptive. Service was excellent! Was a little warm could use ceiling fans to help. I was ready for a typical cold theater lol. The front of the restaurant has a nice bar and table seating and feels speakeasyish. We were all impressed with their food. I got the gennaro chicken sandwich and the goat cheese and peppers made it delish! I also got a side of the siracha ranch for dipping and that took it over the top! House wine was only $7!
