    Philly cheese steak

I ate here for the first time this week. The restaurant is very nice inside, which I was quite surprised at. I expected something more casual. I want to start by saying that I gave this place 2 stars because my personal meal was horrible, but my parents' meals looked and tasted (according to them) delicious. I had the fish and chips, which was soggy on the bottom and all around rubbery, with absolutely no flavor. It's obvious it was frozen. I found it odd that it was so bad considering it was one of their lunch specials. My mom had the bacon cheeseburger, and my dad had the lunch special Philly cheese steak. Both of their lunches were huge and definitely filling. The only other disappointment was the fries, which were nothing special. The place was very busy when we went at 11:30 am on a Tuesday, but the service was good. It did take quite a while to get our food, though. I'd like to come back and give them another try but I definitely won't order the fish and chips again.

Eh, everything has gone downhill since my first review. The last few times we've been sat it has taken quite a while for our server to great us, honestly felt like we were seated in a section without someone working it. Tables are dirty and overall this place needs a refresh.

This was so good! We love Cheddars but we changes up our orders this time! The waiter, Brandon, was so attentive and mad sure we were taken care of!

This is one of the best locations I believe for this chain! The manager was so friendly and helpful, and our service has been great both times we have went. The food is fresh, it is clean, and I love the rustic decorations on the inside. We will always choose to go here when visiting Chattanooga.

Walking in- There was a rustic, farm-like atmosphere that was very pleasant and welcoming. The bathrooms contradicted that though as they were unsanitary. Service- The servers were extremely pleasant but the drinks took a while considering our party only ordered waters and a Shirley Temple. Meal- The complimentary croissants were amazing, the butter on top added to the perfect starter. The caesar salad was really good, the dressing was amazing and they left it on the side so you could dress to your liking. The lettuce was also really fresh, with little to no lettuce ribs. The BBQ ribs were messy as usual but with no wet nap to wipe off your hands, and the ribs were hard to peel off the bone, but they were pretty good, along with the fries which were tasty as well. The grilled chicken and pecan salad was great, there were lots of candied pecans. The chicken was tender and very flavorful. Overall this is a great place to go with your family for a nice night out, so stop by Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen today!

Dropped the car off for an oil change and decided waiting in a cool restaurant eating lunch was a good way to pass the time! Started with the soup - very good and quite filling. After that soup, I only had a little room to try the main - tasted good, but I liked the sides even more. Broccoli was tender and just needed salt. Took just a bite of the cheesecake - sadness... To-go boxes were needed, but nothing went to waste with grown kids at home. Great service and no wait for a late Saturday afternoon.

While looking online at this restaurant, as much as I would have loved to eat a biscuit, I saw they did have some options for me. So, we came Here and are glad we did. I had their power bowl with scrambled eggs, cooked mushrooms, tomato , spinach, feta and a couple slices of bacon. It hit the spot and felt healthy. When first walking into this restaurant it was spacious and open. We walked up to the counter to order and you are give. A number to set out on your table. So we arrive just about 15 minutes early but were immediately seated. It was a bit confusing about where the host stand is since there are two entrances... but no problem because the owner was at the bar to greet us. The customer service is top tier! The venue is beautiful! But the food ... left something to be desired. I ordered the pot roast based on recommendations from the waiter. He also recommended the greens over the green beans. I also added a side of mashed potatoes and fried corn. So first, the plate came out messy (see pic). It would have only taken a second to wipe off the edge of the plate. Then the pot was appeared shredded and covered in thyme and rosemary. Both over powered the meat. I'm wondering if I had the last piece and they covered things up with the extra seasoning from the bottom. My friend also ordered the pot roast and although hers was also chopped, she did not have as much thyme and rosemary- although she complained that it was too much. Next the greens tasted unseasoned and undercooked. The fried corn was not fried but were kernels of sweet corn in some type of cornstarch slurry - awful! The mashed potatoes are boxed but edible however the white gravy was not good. I missed on the menu that the gravy is white - it should be brown. Finally, we received a piece of cornbread- it was very dense but sweet. My friends liked it but I did not. My friends had a mix of feelings from "it was good" to "just ok but I won't take my left overs home." Needless to say I also did not take my left overs home. One saving grace about the meal was the fruit tea! It was delicious! I also ordered two chocolate covered strawberries for dessert and I wished I ordered more! Since it was four friends birthday- the singer (yes there was live music) called out their names and sang a rendition of "Happy Birthday". This same singer had the room up and dancing on several song! She did a wonderful job. Plus the restaurant provided a free dessert to each of the four birthday friends! They all enjoyed their desserts! So the verdict... the venue is beautiful and a vibe for a Saturday night but unfortunately I won't return for the good. There are much better spots for soul food at much cheaper price point!

I usually love this chain, and it has been some odd years since visiting a Chicken Salad Chick, but this was my first time trying this location. Ordering was straightforward, and despite being a bit busy with the lunch crowd, service was friendly, efficient, and helpful (shoutout to Abdallia who rocks!). The facility and outdoor tables were clean and comfortable, which is much appreciated. Unfortunately, the food and portions have changed, and not for the better. Today, I ordered the Fancy Nancy sandwich on a crossaint with pasta salad side ($9.50), which is my go-to order whenever I do visit Chicken Salad Chick. The chicken salad taste was good, but the portion size doesn't justify the price. The croissant barely had any chicken salad on it. In the past, I remember being able to bite the crossaint sandwich and the chicken salad filling would smoosh out. The amount of chicken salad for this visit was barely enough to taste and made the bite dry and very crossaint bread heavy. Also, unfortunately, the crossaint bread was a little tough, like that of a bit of stale bread. I also remembered the crossaint sandwich having lettuce and tomato on it. But again, today, the sandwich did not contain either. Lastly, the pasta salad was dry, lacking in dressing "sauce" and a bit of flavor. It was a bit sad visiting Chicken Salad Chick today, and finding what was once reliable and "worth it" is no longer. I am hoping that today may have been a fluke because I would love to visit Chicken Salad Chick again, but hopefully for the yummy and better portioned crossaint sandwiches and sides they once served. Nonetheless, thank you to the friendly staff at this location.

Casual, colorful, the kind of spot where you expect someone to walk in wearing flip flops and carrying a fishing pole. Comfortable vibe. Easy place to settle in and see what the fryer can do. First up were the fried green tomatoes. They came out looking like they'd just won a beauty pageant. Crispy outside, tender inside, cooked exactly right. Texture nailed. But flavor-wise they felt like they forgot their gym bag at home. Needed salt. Needed a little personality. A rare moment where the fryer did its job but the seasoning clocked out early. Then the headliner arrived. The fried chicken at Champy's Famous Fried Chicken has a reputation to protect, and thankfully it shows up ready to work. Crisp, flavorful crust. Juicy inside. The kind of chicken that crunches just enough to make everyone at the table look over and get jealous. "If the deep fryer had a Hall of Fame, Champy's chicken is getting a first-ballot vote." And then came the move that sealed the deal. A dip into Champy sauce. Suddenly the flavor level jumped another notch. Salty, tangy, just enough punch to make the crust shine even more. The sleeper hit though? The cole slaw. Creamy, balanced, and actually refreshing next to all the fried goodness. It's the quiet kid in class who ends up acing the exam. Easy to overlook, but absolutely worth ordering. Now for the tiny curveball. I happened to land there on karaoke night. And let's just say... the speakers believed they were performing at an arena concert. Loud enough that conversation required leaning halfway across the table and reading lips. On the flip side, the crowd was clearly having a blast. A few genuinely good singers, a few that were more... enthusiastic than talented, and plenty of people cheering them on. Honestly, respect to anyone with the courage to grab a microphone in a room full of strangers. So no star deductions for that. The people who showed up to sing were having the time of their lives. Bottom line, Champy's Famous Fried Chicken is a fun place with seriously good fried chicken. Order the bird, grab the slaw, lean into the fried side of the menu, and enjoy the show if karaoke happens to be on the schedule. Just maybe bring your singing voice... or your earplugs.
