Went here for din din which was my second time eating here. Kayla was awesome very polite and has a great vibe about her!!! Kayla deserves a huge raise on top of tips!!! The ribs n steak meals were good but the ribs needed more sauce so I added my own later once I was home. I wasn't big on their coleslaw. Their pasta for a kids meal was a healthy portion for a kid and came with a yummy pc of bread. The cheese curds were good but since I personally like em a little browner and crunchy I put them in the toaster oven to bake a little more. ( My preference ) The chocolate cake slices are huge and in taste was really good. We absolutely love their crossaints...sweet Baby Jesus are those really good!!! Whatever glaze/butter they have them.... I'd like to know, as we couldn't tell if it's butter or a sweet glaze. These crossaints alone were worth the drive. I'll be going back to get more of these crossaints for breakfast. I recommend going here for dinner on weekdays as it's not as busy like it is on Fridays-Sundays and there isn't a long line. Usually this place gets really crowded and have long wait times. There's plenty of parking and this location is really easy to find. read more

Was looking for a local dinner spot on our last day of vacation and landed on this restaurant. Walking in it was nice. The atmosphere was intimate and it gave a sense of high end. Once we got seated the menu options seemed limited which isn't a huge issue honestly. The waitress then told us that there are no sodas (no carbonation) and a couple of menu items were not available. That was disappointing till I had their iced teas. Man were they good! Had the peach. Kind of glad I didn't go with my root beer. When the food came out though it was unimpressive. The plating was just boring. Looked like they just dumped it on there. The food was all there but it didn't show well. Lots of white space between the food. Made it seem like small portions. We came here because I had a burger craving and we were out late running errands. We ordered from the website for a curbside pick up. The wait to receive the order was excessive. We waited about 15 minutes after the original estimated time. In terms of the burgers we got, the bottom bun was soggy and the onions were impossible to bite through for some reason. I've never experienced this before. We both needed to remove them from our burgers. The fries were good, we both enjoyed them. I'm a fan of these kind of fries. The burgers are only available to be cooked medium well which was disappointing. I wonder why that is and if the burgers are frozen initially due to the hardness of the cooked patty and the shape of them. My friend treated me to lunch on 12/30/23. I had never heard of the restaurant because I live far away from one. My friend and I arrived and the hostesses were very pleasant. We were seated quickly and a nice waitress named Stephanie F came to our table and quickly got our drink orders. She went above and beyond on getting our orders, bringing out our food and keeping the empty plates cleared out the way. The amount of food you get for the money is great. It was so tasty. I ordered the New Orleans pasta which had just the right amount of heat without being over-powering. My friend had the steak and tenders. My friend said her steak was a little heavy on spice, perhaps too much black pepper. But everything else was delicious. I had to try one of their signature drinks. I think it was called Cheddar's Painkiller. I was wondering why there was a limit of two per customer until I was served the behemoth drink. And oh my was it delicious. And of course I ordered two. I could not finish the 2nd one, but I tried. We also had to get desserts since they sounded scrumptious. She ordered the hot fudge Sunday and I ordered the carrot cake. The hot fudge Sunday was huge. The carrot cake melted in my mouth. We had to get to-go boxes because there was no more room in our bellys. The atmosphere is cozy and it looks inviting. Loved Cheddars until last Saturday. Ordered salmon with baked potato, red beans and rice. My wife ordered cheeseburger and fries. Waitress dropped off food apologized for long wait and disappeared. My salmon was good. Baked potato and red beans/rice were cold. My wife's hamburger was partially cooked and cold. Fries were cold too. Couldn't find the waitress so I went to hostess station and was told she would be right over. Nope. Waited another 5 minutes or so and went back to hostess station. Waitress came to the table and apologized saying she didn't understand what hostess was saying. We told her the issues. She apologized and went to get a manager. Another 5 minutes or so he shows up and asks what the problem is. I told him and he said "let me get those plates away from you" and left. We waited and waited but he didn't come back nor did the waitress. We left $20 on the table, so the waitress wouldn't get penalized, and started to leave. The waitress was at the hostess stand apologizing again. The manager saw us standing there and came over. He was condescending and a bit arrogant. He said" I told you I would take care of it" First off neither my wife or I heard that. Secondly we would not have understood what he meant. It became obvious then that he comp'd the check. It's a really cute place to have drinks but the food is just, eh! We've been here a couple of times and just aren't impressed. I love cheese bites, i like more cheese less breading, and this didn't hit the spot more breading and hard than actual cheesey goodness inside. The Monte Christo was a lot. It was more sweet than savory that it just didn't work. I ate one piece, then just ate the inside portion. visited this location today. My friend and I ordered the shrimp/rib combo. Both of our Ribs was extremely hard, she asked our server to send the manager. When the manager came over. he came with an attitude. worse customer service ever. She told him the ribs was hand and she couldn't eat it. Stopped in for dinner and it did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly but a tad bit slow. Upon getting seated, our waitress took a bit of time to get to us. However, another server brought out their delicious honey butter croissants and I was in heaven. I ordered a house salad, full rack of ribs with cheese and bacon mashed potatoes and a Texas margarita. Everything had great flavor and tasted very fresh. However, the ribs were a bit dry and the bar was out of cactus juice for the margarita. But, the margarita was over the top good! It tasted like I was on a sunny beach in my swimsuit. Took a 92 yr old 2 time purple heart awardee for lunch one day cause he said he liked Cheddars. This "hero" had the Monte Christo with raspberry preserves - I think he just wanted the raspberry preserves. He at about half the sandwich, but all the preserves! He loved it. I opted for the shrimp (fried) and chicken tenders. They were both good, but the tenders had entirely too much breading. This is upsetting to post because I've never had a bad experience at any Cheddar's location but tonight I was really disappointed with my recent visit to Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. The service was extremely slow, and it felt like our table was forgotten about more than once. When our food finally arrived, it wasn't fresh - it was cold...definitely not what I'd expect from a restaurant that prides itself on "scratch-made" meals. On top of that, the staff didn't seem very attentive or friendly, which made the experience even worse. Our server was extremely inattentive and also careless to our orders and needs as her table. One of the guests at our table spoke with the manager about our experience after sending cold steaks back and the servers attitude. Clearly the manager spoke to the server because at the end of our meal the server Tyjier came to our table and said "so I heard that I have an attitude problem. I just wanted to say that was not my intent so I'm glad we cleared that up." First of all nothing g was cleared up and the passive aggressive behavior in return to your table was completely unacceptable. When we tried to speak to the manager with the server it was clear that the manager was protective even though we were being nothing but gracious to the server. We were visiting for a birthday celebration and it definitely ruined the good vibe and made it uncomfortable. Overall, it didn't feel worth the time or money, and we don't plan on coming back anytime soon. read more

Unfortunately I couldn't leave a review because I had to send the food back. The food was cold, the rib I ordered was extremely rare like over rare if that's a such thing when I didn't ask for that. The server saw it and apologized immediately. I took one bite of my bake potato, so when the server came to bring me the correct steak 7 min later the old bake potato and corn was still on there I immediately let her know that there was no point in eating cold food with one hot item she understood. The manager said their oven was having issues so just beware coming here. This place use to be good but it seems it has went down. There were people next to us that told us they had to send all their food back as well. So it wasn't just us. Sometimes kitchens are just not as thorough anymore unfortunately. read more

We ordered the ribs and tenders bundle last night. We placed it around 4pm pickup so we would miss the dinner crowd. They were on time . Tenders were excellent. Ribs could use some help. Suggestion please add extra bbq sauce for the ribs. They were tender but too dry. One of our sides was broccoli. Needs to be cooked longer. Too crunchy. The croissants were great as usual. The service was great both times, I went both times around 8 PM so the restaurant wasn't busy at the time. If you are looking for home-style southern cooking Cheddars is the place. We visited Cheddar's in Glendale for the first time today. We went at about 11:30 a.m., and the restaurant was very clean. We were greeted by a nice hostess and seated where we wanted. The croissants and flavored butter they give you while you wait for your order. I primarily wanted the onion rings, they looked so good. I also ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and Cole slaw. The tea was delicious and the wait for the onion rings was short. They looked good, smelled good and were very hot. About this time, we noticed that there was a lingering taste of bitterness from the croissant. The onion rings had started to cool at this point, but they were inedible. The grease they were cooked in was brown, oily and rancid. My husband ordered the Cajun pasta which looked great, but they had fried the shrimp in the same grease. it's basic hygiene to change the grease every couple of days. We left the food, paid the bill and left. We were very disappointed. This was a $50 lunch and we came home and ate. Why is this restaurant so highly rated? read more

First time visiting this restaurant. The wait was longer than expected but noticed the high traffic coming in and it made me think it was a sign of great food. I misinterpreted this first impression. Nice decor inside but the food was what you would expect from a chain restaurant, A person in our party described the food just above a fast food restaurant. Two positive experiences were the sweet rolls served before your meal - a croissant type roll with a sugary glaze - and the waiter provided good service. If you are looking for food with lots of preservatives and minimal preparation, with a $$ price point, plus want a day off from cooking at home, then this is a place that will meet the expectations. I attended Cheddars, Chandler the evening of December 13th with a ladyfriend. The air conditioning was pretty stiff. My lady friend commented to the manager that the air was cold and asked if it could be turned down. The manager made a wise ass comment that the heat was on. I ordered the 7 oz fillet and my lady friend ordered an 8 oz sirloin. When delivered to the table, the 8 oz sirloin was obviously smaller than the 7 oz fillet. I brought this to the attention of the waitress and she said she would get the manager. The manager said the plate that the 8 oz sirloin twas on is the plate they use for 8 and oz sirloins and the plate my 7 oz fillet is on is the plate they use for 7 oz fillets. What do you expect me to do about it? Wiith that stupid comment from the manager, I raised my voice and said that I expected him to replace the sirloin with a more appropriate piece of meat. The manager, upset with me for raising my voice, suggested that we leave and not pay for anything. We stayed, anyway. The waitress was obviously embarassed. Her attentiveness was exemplary and we left her a nice tip to show that we were not upset with her. read more

Always have a good experience here. There is a variety of options to cover whatever you're feeling on the menu, and it's consistently good. We had a bad experience yesterday at the Cheddars in Las Palmas (El Paso, Texas). I looked at their online menu before we went to see if there might be something that I could eat (I've got dental issues), and had pretty much settled on Fish 'n Chips. When we got there, and I got a look at the menu in the store, I saw a note about "Cheddar's white fish is imported, sustainably farmed swai." IMHO, this fish is equivalent to Tilapia, which means I avoid it. Fish and Chips should indeed be a white fish, but wild caught from the North Atlantic or North Pacific, not farm raised garbage eating stuff. So, then, I decided that I could handle their 7oz filet of beef. Their menu describes this as "our most tender, melt-in-your-mouth cut. Grilled to perfection and topped with garlic butter." Well, calling it a filet, and claiming that it is tender and will melt in my mouth, and considering that it has the same cost as their 14oz Ribeye put me in mind of a Tenderloin, a la Filet Mignon. Boy, was I wrong. First of all, we ordered ours to be Medium Rare, and sat and waited patiently while at least two nearby tables were served ahead of us, even though those people came in after us. When our food finally arrived (yes, we did speak up), and I cut into mine, I realized two things. One, this was not Medium Rare, but Medium, and this was not a real filet, but a piece of Sirloin, cut small! I pointed this out to the waiter and to the manager, who went so far as to produce a photograph of the box these "tenderloins" had supposedly come in. Calling it a tenderloin did not make it a tenderloin. We sent them back, waited too long again, and the result was indeed Medium Rare, but the garlic butter was still cold from the fridge! Just a big ball on top of this crappy little piece of wannabe filet. Ultimately, the manager tried to make up for their crappy food by giving us "free" bowls of potato soup, which we of course did not want! I could not eat this meat, because I could not chew it! Won't be going back to this place. Cannot recommend it. read more

This was a pretty decent steak. I am not used to getting a steak, baked potato and salad for less than $45. It wasn't Dominick's but it was pretty good. It was well seasoned and served hot. Our server was great! It was busy but she took good care of us. I will definitely be back, I want to try the burger next time. read more
