We had a dinner meal here on a Wednesday evening. There was no wait time to be seated. The place was fairly busy for midweek. Since Branson is a tourist town, I expect will be packed on weekends. Our order was taken quickly but delivery was a little slow. Croissants drizzled with butter and honey were brought to our table while we waited. I had tilapia and shrimp dish and my wife had Key Lime chicken and shrimp. Both were delicious. Her side of corn on the cob was replaced by corn off the cob. We didn't ask why. The restaurant is a bit noisy, but that is to be expected when you go to a family type restaurant. Our bill came to $40 including the tip. We waited a bit for the server to come back to pickup our credit card, but finally decided to pay using the table kiosk machine similar to the ones used by Chili's. We would eat here again and have no problem recommending it to others. read more

New restaurant in Branson and our first visit was very good. Chicken fried steak was too much food, but good. Didn't get a salad, but several others in the party did. They were excellent. My husband and I have eaten at the Bolingbrook, IL Cheddar's several times and have always enjoyed the food. My favorite sandwich was grilled chicken on a ciabatta roll with avocado. The Branson, MO Cheddar's did not have it on its menu, so I ordered the sandwich with breaded and fried chicken on a large hamburger bun. I did not like the chicken and I did not like the bun. Every Cheddar's is the same and the food is always good, but what made this Cheddar's exceptional is the service I received when I had a dilemma my husband and I now refer to as "The Great Cheese Fiasco of 2024". We bought cheese curds from a cheese place in Branson, and I didn't want to leave them in the hot car so I put them in my purse and brought them into Cheddar's with us. When we were leaving I took tip money out of my purse which I had to take the cheese out to do and of course I forgot to put the cheese curds back in my purse. About 5 minutes after leaving I realize I do not have the cheese curds. So we go back and they are not at the table which I expected and I knew they probably got thrown away because they were in a brown paper bag but my husband just had to know if they did or not. Eventually the manager asks me the situation and I explain that the item I lost was a brown paper bag with a sealed bag of cheese curds inside (which I am aware is such a silly situation). He also assumed they were thrown away but he actually went and looked through the TRASH for these cheese curds, and he found them!! So I al eternally grateful to the manager at this Cheddar's. read more

The service was absolutely terrible! The salad came out 15-20 minutes after my over cooked dried out tasteless meatloaf was nastily delivered. My water glass was never filled up after we waited on our food for 30 minutes. Had to drink from my wife's glass for water. Tried to get the waiter's attention and he ignored both my wife and I. The male waiter had long greasy hair and looked like he just got out of prison! He literally brought my croutons for my salad as he set the check on the table. I went to use the Men's room and saw a rat the size of a small dog run out of the kitchen. This place should be closed down by the health department! read more

I love cheddar and have ate cheddar in many different cities,however the Branson Cheddar's is absolutely % horrible. When we went, it wasn't even busy. Our waiter took forever to come to the table, then forgot to bring our salads until after our meal came out. The pasta came out like the shrimp, sausage and chicken had been scraped out of the bottom of a pan, dry with no sauce. I refused it from the time they sat it down, so they said they would make it right and brought me out some of the same food with luke warm sauce on top. The ambiance was good except the fact that the restaurant was relatively empty and they seated us right by the kitchen entrance and for safety the employees are required to announce corner when they leave or enter the kitchen. once or twice would've been okay but every 30 seconds was excessive especially when they had room to sit us in a lot of other spaces. We expressed our concern to the manager and we felt she dismissed our concerns with her body language especially when we gave her good feedback. This was our 2nd visit and it was worse . The first time we went shrimp was not cooked all the way and they forgot my green beans. The chips n cheese dip had big chunks of cheese and wasn't even warm. Now this time we both ordered the same steaks but they weren't the same. And guess what they forgot my green beans again. This was our second time trying Cheddar's at their new Branson location. First time, they were out of several options--which we understood because of how busy and how new the business is. Second time, we ordered an appetizer and an entree to share. Appetizer came out with entree. Server said "Sorry, the kitchen is busy". Quick trip to Branson and while at the condo the maintenance guy told us about the new place in town but said it just opened last week so it may take a while to get in. We thought we'd chance it. Got there and was told it was a 45 min wait. Well it is Branson so it would be like that anywhere so we waited it out. Got to go to bar and get drink while we waited and watched some SEC football. It was only 25 min and they took us to our seat. Waiter was fast and friendly and attentive. Food was great and a lot to choose from. Even my picky eater found something she liked. cheddars graciously provided a meal for veterans in Branson at Veterans Village. however they failed miserably. 2 chicken strips, tiny salad with ranch, and a tiny serving of some typ of broccoli/ cheese side, some kind of mustard sauce that they just put in the to go container so it was on the veggie and chicken. not everyone likes ranch and mustard, they should have been in separate containers. Went to have dinner with friends and found that this place is a mad house. The noise inside was terrible and a young boy about three kept throwing a tantrum. The server came after about five minutes asked what we would like to drink and didn't come back with anything for quite awhile. So when he came back we went to order and a number of us wanted ribs and he proceeded to tell us they were out. So we hurried to find something else before he left. My wife and I had steak and the meat was very tough and full of gristle. Other Cheddar's throughout the country but this one did not meet many standards. My meal was brought before my salad. They seemed stunned that I wouldn't want my salad after the meal. It ended up not to matter since the meal was not edible. Baked potato was cold and not cooked through. I specifically asked if the broccoli and cheese casserole had rice in it and I was told no. I didn't order it until my potato was ruined. It was a rice casserole. I would have gotten it in the first place had the server described it properly. I was told it is broccoli and cheese with "maybe some bread stuff in it." Maybe train your severs what rice looks like so they have at least some clues. Chicken strips were cold and tasted like they had sat all day. Shrimp was tough and bland. No offer was made to fix the meal so I didn't eat it and I refused to pay for it which I NEVER do but by this point I was tired of wasting my money in Branson Mo.
