Cleanliness is obviously not a priority. I don't understand why the menus, check out kiosk, chairs and other highly touched items are not regularly cleaned. Food and service is consistently good. Experience would be so much better if they would clean. If the front of the house is neglected what does the kitchen and areas look like that the customer doesn't see?

We are travelers driving thru Amarillo, and this is my first Cheddar's. Macy, our server, was stellar and is deserving of a 5 star review!! Unfortunately, the rest of the experience not so much. Macy welcomed and served us with a smile. We arrived an hour before closing. She was so patient when taking my complicated order, and was passionate to serve us during our dinner. She was also vacuuming the floor when the crowds started dying down; there was so much littered on the floor! There are various reviews on Google and Yelp of customers recieving food poising after eating here. Thankfully, I looked through the salmon and it was cooked thoroughly. However, it was significantly salty. The green beans, croissant, and stuffed potato were my dinner highlights. I did have a tummy ache afterwards. Overall, we won't come back to this Cheddar's location. While Macy was the only shining light in this dark town, this town did not treated us well during our short stay. Not a very good area; I'd recommend eating elsewhere.

Great place, good food and reasonable price It was busy and the waitress kept visiting us to see if we needed anything.

This is our second time coming and let's just say we are big fans! The wait staff is always so friendly and welcoming. The food portions are big and delicious! Everything comes out in a timely manner and food is hot! The croissant rolls they serve are the best! The hot and honey chicken is my favorite but we've tried the steaks, salmon and everything else! So good! Definitely worth coming in!

No wifi, blocks cellphone signals. No special drinks or entrees. Loud, not customer friendly. Prices are a little bit too high.

Great food, great service. Took a little while, but nothing unreasonable considering it was peak dinner hours.

One thing of note was that it was my first time eating sweet potato casserole. One bite and I was instantly hooked. Today my wife and I decided to eat here for lunch. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. She picked the sausage and brisket with sweet potato casserole and greens while I chose the jalapeño sausage with brisket, beans, and potato salad. The beans were DELICIOUS! While everything on my plate was top notch, my wife can attest to just how much raving I did about those baked beans. We ended up sharing a few bites of each others food and I had some of her sweet potatoes. I was instantly taken back to my first experience having them years ago which reminded me just how good this place is. Definitely will be back again!

The…read morebrisket was superbly smoked with just the right amount of chew and zero pot-roasty dryness. Ribs were beautifully cooked as well. If I have a modest complaint it's that everything needs more seasoning (salt and black pepper in abundance !). I also prefer my sausage less finely ground, though I know that's not the Texas way. Sides I had (beans and corn) were solid (if not earth shattering). People were delightful, place is cute, and I'll always try to time my trips through Amarillo so I can come back. Oh, I forgot: $20 for a 3-way meat combo with two sides? Man, that's a bargain, particularly since it's enough for two medium eaters (particularly since as I've gotten older I can't wolf down 20oz of bbq anymore). Definitely go if you get the chance. True bbq vibe and taste.

For lunch during one of my days visiting Amarillo, I tried Yellow City Street Food off Wolflin. Inside, the space is cute. They have yellow chairs, pink walls, and cool artwork scattered throughout. When we ordered, the server was very helpful with recommendations and helped us land on what we ultimately chose. They also have a chef's daily special that rotates every day, and you never really know what he could be cooking up. The day we went, the special was Pad Kee Mao, which my girlfriend ordered with their fried tofu. As for me, I got their tacos. The first was their Hulk with jerk chicken, cotija, pineapple, and more, and the second was their Al Pastor with pork, crema, chile rojo, and more. Both came out looking fantastic and were absolutely crushed by me. One thing I noticed on their menu is their vast selection of vegan options. Most meat options usually have a vegan alternative with a specific replacement for the meat. For the Hulk, it's chickn soy curls, and for the Al Pastor, they use jackfruit. It's super innovative and very welcoming to vegan and vegetarian diners. I really like this approach instead of throwing the same meat substitute on everything. Knowing what works best with each dish can really make or break it. We also ordered a side of their Salt and Pepper Fries to share, which were well cooked, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I enjoyed the pepper seasoning on these quite a bit. To drink, we tried their blueberry pomegranate tea, which was delicious. I really liked my food here and, of all the places I tried in Amarillo, I would say this is definitely one of the best. It's unique without overdoing it, and you'll leave with a good meal in your stomach if you give them a shot. RIYL: Tacos, burgers, or honestly just about anything. They've got it all here.

I had the imposter with breaded mushrooms. Super crispy Cremini mushrooms with great crunch but the rest was kinda meh, romaine and drizzle of sauce and balsamic. At least with the pickled onions there was a little palate tease. Also tried the Al pastor with jackfruit. Opted for this version on a salad and it's a whopping serving size. Hearty serving of jackfruit with plenty of sauce and dressing. Had nice little nibs of some crunch too. Service was super, super nice. I'd call the inside dive-ish. Totally relaxed and chill ambiance. I'll be back to try more items! My one dislike was that I don't care for the balsamic drizzle on either dish... just doesn't pair well with these flavors. Side of pineapple was yummy to balance the heaviness of both dishes.
