The woman I interfaced with was straightforward. They emailed me a link, so I paid on my phone through PayPal. Face it, no towing service is ever going to get a good review. For honesty in advertising, they get 0 stars. Once we took the uber there and handled the transaction, it wasn't bad. So I'll be generous and give them 3 stars. But they need to fix their transparency. Providing the wrong phone number just isn't honest business.

My experience ended up being 4 stars because I paid $704 for diagnostics and a transmission fluid service, only to be told that the transmission issues would likely continue over time. The recommendation given was that replacing the vehicle might be a better option if we didn't want to continue investing money into the truck. Afterward, I reached back out to ask for a quote on either rebuilding or replacing the transmission so I could better understand my options. Unfortunately, I've waited quite a while without receiving a response. At this point, even after spending the money on the diagnostics and service, the truck is still undrivable and sitting in a parking lot while I continue paying for a rental car. I completely understand that transmission work can be complicated, and I am grateful they were able to inspect my truck since I don't know much about transmissions myself. When I first brought the truck in, I also mentioned an issue with my taillight. I was initially told it would be added to the diagnostics at the end, but it was never looked at. I was later informed that I would need to pay an additional $185 just to diagnose the taillight issue. At that point, I decided to simply pick up the truck. The communication was excellent from start to finish while the vehicle was actively being worked on, but as a returning customer, I do feel disappointed that I haven't received any follow-up regarding the transmission quote. I'm hoping someone from the team can reach back out soon so I can better understand what my next steps and costs may be.

After calling around and getting multiple quotes, CHEAP TOWING has got to be the best there is. Owner Yong of Cheap Towing (aka SAIGON TOWING) was professional and timely. You can call him anytime and usually within the hour, he's there to help you. After your tow and if your destination is along the way with his next stop, he'll offer a ride back. Although it was a relatively short tow (from University Ave to Goodyear in Kaimuki, the price was $50.00. Other tow companies quoted $80-$90. Totally awesome and I recommend his services! read more

Wonderful fast service with a smile! I was stalled in a parking garage on Kapiolani Blvd in an access stall so I needed to move my car FAST! Cheap towing showed up in less than ten minutes and brought me to the auto repair shop I requested. He was pleasant on the drive over and very courteous. on a BUDGET. My mom…read moreand I had difficult situation last week when her car died on the street in front of our home. I tried, to no avail, to start her car but the engine showed no signs of life. I pushed the car to the side of the road and we tried to figure out what to do next. A few phone calls later, my mom is on the phone with Carlos explaining our stressful situation with her car. He assures her he can help, but it would 1-2 hours before he can get to our home. He arrives and expertly aligns the car with the tow truck. Before attaching the towing mechanism, he pops the hood and takes a look. After a short while, he then informs us that the car's shifter cable broke (which definitely explains why the gear shift wasn't responding, this makes perfect sense for someone like myself who has no car mechanics background). We ask him to tow the car to Lex Brodie's in Aiea (I had called before his arrival to ask if it was ok to tow the car to their location). As he is settling the towing fees with my mom, he informs one of the Lex Brodie workers that the problem with the car is a broken shifter cable (he told the girl "the mechanic will know what to do"). Carlos and his diagnosis definitely saved us some money, as I was told on the phone that a $175 diagnostic had to be performed on the car. The car was dropped off at about 1215pm, and we were able to pick up the car before closing that day. We were charged $83 for labor and the replacement shifter cable. BOTTOM LINE: THANKS to Carlos and Budget Towing for their great customer service and expert mechanic knowledge! Thank you for assisting us in a very difficult and stressful situation.
