Carlos was so nice and very considerate and safe. I would call him again. He also showed up quickly and was courteous on the phone

on a BUDGET. My mom and I had difficult situation last week when her car died on the street in front of our home. I tried, to no avail, to start her car but the engine showed no signs of life. I pushed the car to the side of the road and we tried to figure out what to do next. A few phone calls later, my mom is on the phone with Carlos explaining our stressful situation with her car. He assures her he can help, but it would 1-2 hours before he can get to our home. He arrives and expertly aligns the car with the tow truck. Before attaching the towing mechanism, he pops the hood and takes a look. After a short while, he then informs us that the car's shifter cable broke (which definitely explains why the gear shift wasn't responding, this makes perfect sense for someone like myself who has no car mechanics background). We ask him to tow the car to Lex Brodie's in Aiea (I had called before his arrival to ask if it was ok to tow the car to their location). As he is settling the towing fees with my mom, he informs one of the Lex Brodie workers that the problem with the car is a broken shifter cable (he told the girl "the mechanic will know what to do"). Carlos and his diagnosis definitely saved us some money, as I was told on the phone that a $175 diagnostic had to be performed on the car. The car was dropped off at about 1215pm, and we were able to pick up the car before closing that day. We were charged $83 for labor and the replacement shifter cable. BOTTOM LINE: THANKS to Carlos and Budget Towing for their great customer service and expert mechanic knowledge! Thank you for assisting us in a very difficult and stressful situation. read more

I not only recommend this service but also will definitely call if I ever in need for his service. Thank you Carlos!! read more

My truck died as me and my kids were going down Waimano Home Road. I barely made it into the Pearl City Library parking lot when it completely shut off. I called Budget Towing and was told that he was on a job right now. He asked if I could wait about an hour or so and said that he would give me a call once he was on his way. I said ok. We waited for TWO hours and he never showed. I was really irritated because I had reserved a rental car and needed to pick it up in the next 45 minutes at the airport. Called him to ask if he was still coming and he said it would be another half hour. By this time, I was able to move the truck out of the entrance and into a stall. He got there, started the truck and told me "It started. You don't want to drive it home?" I literally live 5 minutes away but did not want to take the chance of my truck dying going up Waimano Home Road. I say no and that I want the truck towed then he proceeds to tell me that we might not all fit in his truck. So I tell him it's ok, just tow the truck and I will walk home. He's talking but I can barely make out what he's saying because he's mumbling a lot. He goes to clean out the other side of the tow truck and me and my kids fit inside with my younger one on my lap for the short trip home. We get to the house and he doesn't/can't/won't back the truck into the driveway. I am so irritated by this point that I tell him to just leave it on the street. He knew I was annoyed so he only charged me $60. He did apologize for the misunderstanding/miscommunication, but from beginning to end that was the worst towing experience I have ever had. read more

4 Nov 2021 Heard a thunk under the hood - threw the fan or 'S' belt! Just moved over to the leeward side so I didn't know a mechanic on the leeward side yet. Needed a tow to my mechanic on the Windward side. Called Budget Towing Service- Carlos said he could be there by 8:30 am - at 8:15 he called was still finishing up on a previous tow and would be at my site within the hour - really great that he called and told me was running behind! He showed up as promised, looked over the car, told me what he thought was wrong, and towed it to the Windward repair shop. My mechanic concurred with the diagnosis and repairs are under way. I was really impressed with the service and professionalism Carlos displayed - it's easy to see why he has such good ratings! If you're looking for good professional service at a fair price, I don't think you can do better that Budget Towing Service! Oh yeah, Carlos also recommended a couple of good mechanics on the leeward side much closer to my home ! Mahalo Carlos! read more

Our SUV was stuck at home when I called Carlos to schedule a tow for 6:30am on a Monday. He arrived on time and was able to hook up the vehicle and deliver it to the shop across town without issue. Before he hooked us up he confirmed what was wrong and offered several great suggestions and options to possibly avoid having to tow at all (since we were stuck at home and not stranded somewhere) I appreciate Carlos's honesty and empathy. Side note: I first called Carlos 20 years ago to tow my beater to the shop. I picked his business by pure luck! I will call him every time! read more

Fantastic service, highly recommend, superb communication, and was a great price. Budget Towing and the owner/operator Carlos was a pleasure to work with. He was timely and I enjoyed my conversation with him. I towed 2 x cars and had no issues at all. He provides 24 hour service, is dependable and worry free, has wheel lift towing (which is what I used) and has a car carrier. I don't know about the bad 1 start return quote, but I towed both cars farther than his tow and paid much less than he paid with another towing company. read more

Good towing on Oahu is hard to find. I am grateful that Yelp brought me to Carlos at Budget Towing. He arrived in exactly his time quote. I had a somewhat difficult hook up and he did it with ease. Combine that with his more than reasonable prices and you have a troublesome situation handled by this professional. I would recommend him to anyone. read more

Carlos was so personable and professional. He came in the time he estimated it will take and just first class kind of guy. He is very experienced and knows his stuff. He was able to determined the problem on the spot and willingly showed me exactly in my car was the problem. Budget Towing came recommended to me by the good guys at Wally's Garage and Grill. I once had to tow my beloved Dodge Dakota Convertible (R.I.P.) from Ko Olina to Aiea and Carlos was great. He was on time, friendly and along the way we discovered that we stomped some of the same ground in our younger days. I won't say how little he charged me because I don't think everyone would get the same deal, but I suspect that most people would find him very reasonable. In fact he did tell me his regular rate and I thought it was pretty good at the time. I just can't remember what it was. He rounded it down to an even number when we got to the garage. One never knows when one will need a tow and unless you are one who is willing to wait for your road-side assistance tow company to get in gear (pun intended) then you'd do what I do and just keep Budget Towing's number in your Blackberry. read more

My starter was completely dead on my Honda Accord so I decided to get quotes from some towing companies. The first company I called gave me a quote of $150 and I was going to get my car towed to the nearest auto repair shop which was about 3.7 miles. Got a quote that was wayyy cheaper with Budget Towing Services. With the whole COVID policy the other tow company didn't let people ride with the tow driver and had to catch a ride (via a friend or Uber) to wherever they needed to go (which is no problem for me, it's their company & their policy). But Carlos was nice enough to let me catch a ride if I had a mask on so at least I didn't have to spend the extra buck to get to the auto shop via Uber. Once we got to my car, he even tried to check my battery to make sure it was just my battery. But it definitely was my starter. Carlos was friendly and cares about his customers! Great job! I will always come back to Budget Towing Services if I ever need my car towed or jump started! read more

Highly recommend! I was on the way to the airport to catch a flight out and my radiator blew while I was in route. A friend recommended me to Budget Towing Service. I called and explained my situation and the man I spoke with was SOOOOOOOOO HELPFUL AND ACCOMMODATING. I gave him all my info, told him where to take my truck and left my keys for him with a worker at the store I was stalled in front of for him. In addition, i gave him another contact number for "just in case". Than i caught a ride to the airport. The whole process seemed so smoothe, that I had nothing to worry about. THANKS YOU SOOOOOOOOO MUCH! I'll be sure to keep you in mind and recommend you for your A+ excellence! read more

I called for an estimate to tow a project car I was purchasing. Without knowing exactly what vehicle or location they were able to quote me a very reasonable price. When I called about 2 hours later to have my vehicle towed, they arrived promptly, called with updates, parked the car professionally at my home, were very personable, and towed for the exact quote they gave me earlier in the day. I would definitely use Budget Towing Service again. Thanks, Carlos! read more

Good service. Was the third guy i called and he happened to be available after the first two weren't. Carlos quoted me about $95 and said he'd be there in 30 minutes. Ended up being 40 minutes and $100, which is close enough for me. Friendly enough and was overall a pleasant experience for an inopportune moment.
