They were super helpful! I needed to tow my car home from kakaako to Ewa beach (about 22mi). I called several places and no one costed under $350. Freedom gave me a cheaper price and got to me in less than 20 minutes. I was helped by Tho, he was super friendly and very informative. When we got to my house he and my dad took a quick look at my engine and stuff and he pointed out the shift linkage(?) was broken. We got the piece to replace it at an auto store for like $15. Sure no problem, especially since they are very pleasant on the phone and not like some other companies. They end up showing up in 50 min and very apologetic that I had to wait (I sure didn't expect that!) They hook it up professionally and get on their way. Get to the repair sho they drop it and give me the bill, oh oh the part I dreaded. I was expecting at least $200 min but It wasn't even close to that! Yes!!! Thanks Freedom!! I had a project car in one of my parking stalls in my condo building. It had been sitting since late 2019, and I originally had planned to fix it up and get it back on the road. Sadly, 2020 happened and I no longer had the disposable income to work on it. After sitting for almost 4 years, and some prodding by building management to either get it running or get rid of it, I decided to call around for tow companies. Now, my building is an older building with narrow ramps and only a 6'8" clearance, so getting a tow truck in there needed a low clearance truck. Not too many companies have these trucks anymore, but through Yelp I found Freedom Tow Hawaii. The owner Tho (pronounced like tow), was very quick to answer the call, and asked me to text him the details. After texting him, he immediately responded with a quote and an agreed time. He saw the car and inflated the tires that had partially deflated due to sitting for so long. We pushed the car out of the stall, and he hooked it up, and drove it all the way out of my parking garage, from the 3rd floor. I was impressed! He can maneuver that truck with absolute precision. He was very professional and friendly the entire time, very easy to talk to, even explaining what he was doing while he was doing it. His prices were in line with other companies I got quotes from, but far friendlier! Oh, and did I mention that this was the same day I called him? I was expecting to be able to schedule something next week since this wasn't a huge rush and he's the only one I found with a low clearance truck in town. I called a few other places but they either had a 2 hour wait or they didn't pick up. Mind you on a Thursday around 4pm! I was at dialysis in liliha so I looked for ones close to there and thankful for Yelp! Saw this company had great reviews so took my chance picked up and I needed him to come jumpstart the car; didn't know if it was the battery or alternator but Tho the owner said he would come in 40 min,came in 30 and checked the battery, explained why it was low and gave advice if he thought we could drive it home and definitely not esp in traffic. We had to wait another 40 min for him to bring his tow truck beacuse at first he thought like we thought that if we just jumped it it would be fine. Such a nice honest guy. It's just me and mom and we know nothing about cars and he didn't just jump start our car, take the money and dig out knowing the car will prob die out on the rode forcing us to call again and pay again! I've heard stories of that happening! He offered us many options to try and save us time and money but ultimately we decided to take it home and have him tow it for us the next day to an auto shop very near by to us so that it would be easy for us to just walk home and don't have to taxi, plus it was getting late all auto body shops was closing 4-5pm. Me and my mom rode with him in his small tow truck (great for going in basement garages; other tow trucks too big would def be unable to fit a lot of places) to our condo and he expertly parked our car in the basement garage. He and my family have a lot in common and it was nice to hear his story. He's also been in business for 17 years so he's experience! He gave us a flat rate for both jump starting us and towing our car so reasonable! Def going to be calling him for these types of service when we are in need. BEST TOW SERVICE HANDS DOWN! Electric car died and in that situation you can either tow it or plug it in. I was far from an outlet or charging station so I had to call a tow company to bring me home. This was the first company to pop up on my Google search. They answered the first time I called and gave me an ETA of 45 minutes, I didnt mind as it was 6 PM on a Thursday. Called them again after 50 minutes and the man said he was on the street I was located. He hooked me up first try and asked for the address to tow to. He was professional, courteous, and experienced. Never took advantage of me as a women with no prior experience. He charged me 100.00 flat for the tow. Card and cash accepted. He towed my car home (I rode home with a friend) and he was able to back my car into my garage despite the 45° hill! I was seriously amazed! The whole tow itself was less than 30 minutes and Im so so grateful for Tho, the owner of the company and the guy who towed me. I'm very thankful for this company. My battery died (thankfully at home) and needed a jump. I called around my area and all the receptionist said the same thing, "it'll be at least $100 to jump start my battery." Now, I can understand that if it a long distance, I wouldn't question it but I was literally .02 or .04 miles away from my house. Called freedom tow and they quoted me half the price. I do not leave many 5 Star reviews but Tho at Freedom Tow deserve 5 +. Amazing technical proficiency, expertise and patience. I recently took my classic Porsche out of storage and nothing about this tow situation was typical or easy. First off, my indoor garage in my building only has a 6' 2" clearance. I called a number of companies including the one Porsche recommended and none had the low profile tow truck that could clear this low height. From there we needed to go up 2 levels in this indoor garage with multiple 90 degree turns. Then we get to my parking stall which is not only very narrow, but has concrete walls on both sides. Tho backs his rig up to my spot and we figured it would be easy to just roll the Porsche out of the stall but No. Because it had been in storage battery was disconnected and the car would not shift into neutral, even when it was hooked up to power. Tho took his time and fully analyzed the situation so as not to damage my car. He ended up using 2 floor jacks under the rear end and we lifted the back end off the ground and were able to slowly roll the car forward so it cleared the cement walls and could safely clear the 90 degree left turn. He was then able to dolly the rear wheels and secure the car to the truck. Now we have to slowly navigate the truck and car thought several more hard turns, down ramps and even tighter ceiling clearance due to lifting the Porsche causing the rig height to rise closer to the roof. I had such a great experience with this towing company, despite the fact that usually being stuck on the side of the road and having to get your car towed is a stressful ordeal. A few weeks ago, I was stranded on Pali Hwy due to my car overheating. It was about 8 in the morning and I was stressed because of course on the Pali, there is limited space to pull over and it had started to rain. I called Freedom Tow and they said they would get me in about 30 minutes. I know that towing trucks sometimes take a while so although I was praying they would get here in 30 minutes or faster, I would have understood if I had to wait. However, Toh, the tow truck person, came in about 25-30 minutes and was able to tow my car with no problem. I do not get towed very often but Toh was the friendliest tow truck person I have ever met. He introduced himself and shook my hand, and then gave me an umbrella to shield myself from the rain. On the drive to the auto place, Tho was very friendly and conversational and we talked about our jobs, past, and basically other random subjects. He was very funny and personable. After we got my car to the auto place, Tho waited around to make sure my car was okay and then drove me to my apartment with no extra charge (I'm not sure if tow trucks usually charge extra for that but I thought that they would). Incredible service! Hands down will ONLY call Freedom Tow from now on for a tow. My car stalled on the side of the road and was given a tow to my home from a tow company working with my insurance company (NOT FREEDOM TOW). The tow driver talked on his phone while driving my son and I home while towing our car. He dropped our car off on the side of the road near my house and didn't even get out of the car to check on my car while he dropped it and just waved goodbye from inside the truck. I needed to tow my car to a car shop the next day and called around for reasonable quotes. I called Tho and he was the cheapest and the most pleasant to speak to over the phone. He texted me to confirm my pickup and drop off information and appt times. Before he picked up my car he texted me to let me know he was on his way.
