I was at the Hawaii Kai Texaco this afternoon to buy a car wash for my company vehicle, after going into the convenience store to buy my car wash, upon jumping back into my company vehicle, my darn car wouldn't start!!! Ai-yai-yai!!! I first called my coworker who lives nearby & he tried to help me jump start the car but it wouldn't turn over. What to do??? From there, I called my fleet management office to ask for a tow, and Freedom Tow Hawaii was the vendor that came to the rescue! What can I say about this business? The tow driver - "Tho", was a very friendly & personable. Tho showed up on time (as promised), and quickly picked up & secured my van for transport. Tho is a highly skilled tow driver, as he was able to maneuver his tow truck while towing my van in very tight spaces. Hopefully you'll never need a tow, but if you ever get into a bind......please consider using this SOLID tow business - Freedom Tow Hawaii. read more

I used Freedom Tow Hawaii to transfer a golf cart from Pasha to Young Brothers, and I couldn't be more impressed. I worked with Tho, who was extremely professional, reliable, and hands-on throughout the process. This move required precise timing and real-time coordination, and Tho handled everything flawlessly. Working with Freedom Tow Hawaii felt like I was there on the ground myself. I was able to have full confidence the job would be done right. I look forward to working with Tho and Freedom Tow Hawaii again soon! read more

My car battery died and Freedom Tow was able to get to me in 30 minutes. Tho was professional and kind. Thankfully it was just the car battery so it was only $70 but Tho made sure the battery was ok to drive before leaving. I would recommend Tho to anyone who needs jumper cables or a tow! Mahalo for your assistance Tho! :) read more

Needed a door opened. Fast and excellent service at a reasonable price! Definitely would recommend these guys! Much Mahaloz!

Superb. They have low clearance tow truck for garages with 6 feet clearance. Reasonable price and great staff.

Tho was very professional and friendly. He was able to hook up my truck in a tight apartment parking garage. Along the way he explained the angles and pitch to clear the low roofs and slopes. He is the best. I highly recommend Freedom Towing! read more

Needed to schedule a tow to dealership (complete flat front tire) during new year's week, called Freedom, and Tho answered. He is very nice and professional, quoted a reasonable price, and sent a reminder day of tow. He showed up as scheduled, took time to safely secured my car onto a dolly with straps, and navigated our narrow driveway with ease. We had a nice conversation during the drive. He is a great safe driver, I recommend Freedom and would use their services again. Mahalo Tho read more

Awesome job by my tow driver today!! My car died in a McDonalds drive thru last night and I call a tow company and they were so rude and hung up on me. I called FTH this morning and the man who answered was calm and pleasant on the phone. He told me he could come right away. But I needed an hour to get my child fed and changed and he was fine with that. He was there when I got there and I felt bad that it wasn't in an easy spot. But he was like, no worries! I do this all the time. He was super nice and did his job with a smile. Which is exactly what I needed during a stressful time. I didn't didn't catch his name but I'm sure you'll have a great experience too! read more

Found these guys based on their Yelp reviews. Thank you Yelpers!!! They were a little busy when I called but told me they could get to me in about 90 min. Sure no problem, especially since they are very pleasant on the phone and not like some other companies. They end up showing up in 50 min and very apologetic that I had to wait (I sure didn't expect that!) They hook it up professionally and get on their way. Get to the repair sho they drop it and give me the bill, oh oh the part I dreaded. I was expecting at least $200 min but It wasn't even close to that! Yes!!! Thanks Freedom!! I did have another tow a couple months later and called but they were too busy and actually referred me to another company. Thankfully I friend passed by and gave me a hand. read more

They were super helpful! I needed to tow my car home from kakaako to Ewa beach (about 22mi). I called several places and no one costed under $350. Freedom gave me a cheaper price and got to me in less than 20 minutes. I was helped by Tho, he was super friendly and very informative. When we got to my house he and my dad took a quick look at my engine and stuff and he pointed out the shift linkage(?) was broken. We got the piece to replace it at an auto store for like $15. He helped us save probably thousands of dollars on a repair. I hope I never need to get towed again, but if I ever do I'm definitely calling Tho again! read more

5 stars all the way. Tho is so professional and reliable. Great pricing and his availability is amazing. Have used him twice and will continue to call for all my towing needs. Looks no further for the best in town! read more

Needed my car towed from my condo buildings 4th floor garage. The tow truck operator was experienced and knowledgeable about the situation. Due to the lower clearance on the third and fourth levels, he ended up rolling the vehicle down to where he could tow it. Mahalo! read more

Freedom Tow Hawaii was amazing! Very professional and cared about me as a client. I had a hard time finding a tow company that was willing to go on base with me to retrieve my vehicle from the mechanic and they did it no problem. Tho Le, the driver was extremely polite apologized on behalf of the other companies and even bought me a drink to ensure that I was well taken care of. This has been a great experience and I will use them again for any of my towing needs. If I could rate them 100/100 I would. Thank you Freedom Tow Hawaii! -Julian Linan read more

I called a few other places but they either had a 2 hour wait or they didn't pick up. Mind you on a Thursday around 4pm! I was at dialysis in liliha so I looked for ones close to there and thankful for Yelp! Saw this company had great reviews so took my chance picked up and I needed him to come jumpstart the car; didn't know if it was the battery or alternator but Tho the owner said he would come in 40 min, came in 30 and checked the battery, explained why it was low and gave advice if he thought we could drive it home and definitely not esp in traffic. We had to wait another 40 min for him to bring his tow truck beacuse at first he thought like we thought that if we just jumped it it would be fine. Such a nice honest guy. It's just me and mom and we know nothing about cars and he didn't just jump start our car, take the money and dig out knowing the car will prob die out on the rode forcing us to call again and pay again! I've heard stories of that happening! He offered us many options to try and save us time and money but ultimately we decided to take it home and have him tow it for us the next day to an auto shop very near by to us so that it would be easy for us to just walk home and don't have to taxi, plus it was getting late all auto body shops was closing 4-5pm. Me and my mom rode with him in his small tow truck (great for going in basement garages; other tow trucks too big would def be unable to fit a lot of places) to our condo and he expertly parked our car in the basement garage. He and my family have a lot in common and it was nice to hear his story. He's also been in business for 17 years so he's experience! He gave us a flat rate for both jump starting us and towing our car so reasonable! Def going to be calling him for these types of service when we are in need. Thankful for his knowledge, skill and great local customer service! read more

Was available extremely quick, compared to other providers. The owner is also a kind and helpful man, will definitely use his services in the future. Thank you so much! read more

I had a project car in one of my parking stalls in my condo building. It had been sitting since late 2019, and I originally had planned to fix it up and get it back on the road. Sadly, 2020 happened and I no longer had the disposable income to work on it. After sitting for almost 4 years, and some prodding by building management to either get it running or get rid of it, I decided to call around for tow companies. Now, my building is an older building with narrow ramps and only a 6'8" clearance, so getting a tow truck in there needed a low clearance truck. Not too many companies have these trucks anymore, but through Yelp I found Freedom Tow Hawaii. The owner Tho (pronounced like tow), was very quick to answer the call, and asked me to text him the details. After texting him, he immediately responded with a quote and an agreed time. He saw the car and inflated the tires that had partially deflated due to sitting for so long. We pushed the car out of the stall, and he hooked it up, and drove it all the way out of my parking garage, from the 3rd floor. I was impressed! He can maneuver that truck with absolute precision. He was very professional and friendly the entire time, very easy to talk to, even explaining what he was doing while he was doing it. His prices were in line with other companies I got quotes from, but far friendlier! Oh, and did I mention that this was the same day I called him? I was expecting to be able to schedule something next week since this wasn't a huge rush and he's the only one I found with a low clearance truck in town. If I ever need a tow, I will be calling him again! He even said before he left, "I hope we never have to see each other again, but here's my card just in case". read more

BEST TOW SERVICE HANDS DOWN! Electric car died and in that situation you can either tow it or plug it in. I was far from an outlet or charging station so I had to call a tow company to bring me home. This was the first company to pop up on my Google search. They answered the first time I called and gave me an ETA of 45 minutes, I didnt mind as it was 6 PM on a Thursday. Called them again after 50 minutes and the man said he was on the street I was located. He hooked me up first try and asked for the address to tow to. He was professional, courteous, and experienced. Never took advantage of me as a women with no prior experience. He charged me 100.00 flat for the tow. Card and cash accepted. He towed my car home (I rode home with a friend) and he was able to back my car into my garage despite the 45° hill! I was seriously amazed! The whole tow itself was less than 30 minutes and Im so so grateful for Tho, the owner of the company and the guy who towed me. Id definitely use them again as I know the prices were fair and everything else was transparent. Theyre also open all the time but please be mindful of Tho's time. Thank you again! read more

There's nothing more reassuring than knowing that your car is going to be in good hands. I was happy to know that Toh was able to fulfill my car needs. At 10:30 at night, I called every available towing company out there, got a quote, and read the multiple Yelp reviews. Review's and pictures posted on Freedom's Tow Yelp site caught my attention. I noticed people's cars being towed out of parking garages and thought "omg, this is perfect". After some thought I decided that I wanted my car to be towed by someone who is reliable and provides exceptional service, even if it meant spending a little extra. After my towing experience, I am glad to say that I went with this company. My needs were met with 100% satisfaction. My 98 Acura Integra is happily back home and I am without a worry. If you're curious to know. My car was stuck at the Queen's Medical Center parking garage 1 on the 3rd floor. I let the parking attendants know, left my car overnight, came back the next day, and then got my car towed. I'm pretty amazed that he was able to get in and out despite how low the parking structure is. If you're looking for a Tow company, this is it. I highly recommend. **TIP** -Paid in cash after towing -Communicated through call/text (responded quick) read more

I'm very thankful for this company. My battery died (thankfully at home) and needed a jump. I called around my area and all the receptionist said the same thing, "it'll be at least $100 to jump start my battery." Now, I can understand that if it a long distance, I wouldn't question it but I was literally .02 or .04 miles away from my house. Called freedom tow and they quoted me half the price. FYI, prices may vary because of the distance, just saying. Great guy that help jump start my car. Thank you very much for all that you do. read more

I do not leave many 5 Star reviews but Tho at Freedom Tow deserve 5 +. Amazing technical proficiency, expertise and patience. I recently took my classic Porsche out of storage and nothing about this tow situation was typical or easy. First off, my indoor garage in my building only has a 6' 2" clearance. I called a number of companies including the one Porsche recommended and none had the low profile tow truck that could clear this low height. From there we needed to go up 2 levels in this indoor garage with multiple 90 degree turns. Then we get to my parking stall which is not only very narrow, but has concrete walls on both sides. Tho backs his rig up to my spot and we figured it would be easy to just roll the Porsche out of the stall but No. Because it had been in storage battery was disconnected and the car would not shift into neutral, even when it was hooked up to power. Tho took his time and fully analyzed the situation so as not to damage my car. He ended up using 2 floor jacks under the rear end and we lifted the back end off the ground and were able to slowly roll the car forward so it cleared the cement walls and could safely clear the 90 degree left turn. He was then able to dolly the rear wheels and secure the car to the truck. Now we have to slowly navigate the truck and car thought several more hard turns, down ramps and even tighter ceiling clearance due to lifting the Porsche causing the rig height to rise closer to the roof. Tho did an amazing job and got my baby safely to my shop. I highly recommend Freedom Towing. read more

Freedom Tow Hawaii - Low clearance and very very tight work space. - Towing Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

I can finally breathe relief! Stopped by work over the weekend to drop off supplies for a baby shower coming up. Car wouldn't start so had to leave it there until I could find a mechanic who could take me in. Stressful =/ Low clearance but found Freedom Tow that could take me to mechanic for apt on Tues. Told him how I just had work done on my bumper and my car is, as Ralphie's dad from "A Christmas Story" would say......Frah-geelee. Tho understood and when he got there, walked me through the entire attachment process, so I felt completely at ease. His careful driving exiting the turns in the parking garage with my car in tow was so impressive, that even I have no excuse now when leaving work! Super nice guy! Khamsa Hamnida Tho! read more

I was serviced by Tho, no pun intended. My SUV can't be towed on it's wheels so he rigged up the dollies, or whatever they are, very quickly and very carefully. Freedom Tow Hawaii is the best! We're a single vehicle family and have unfortunately experienced car trouble several times during the past year. Just wow! On the way to a vet appointment I was rear ended by a truck and our car wouldn't start afterwards. We were stranded on the highway for what felt like forever. Freedom towing was able to beat the competitor's price, and time of arrival. This man was so sweet, he took us to the closest convenience store and allowed us to grab water for our dog etc.. He even bought us Melona popsicles! He made things easy and was great to talk to in a time of high stress. I will recommend this company to anyone in the future and I will only use them for my personal needs. read more

I had such a great experience with this towing company, despite the fact that usually being stuck on the side of the road and having to get your car towed is a stressful ordeal. A few weeks ago, I was stranded on Pali Hwy due to my car overheating. It was about 8 in the morning and I was stressed because of course on the Pali, there is limited space to pull over and it had started to rain. I called Freedom Tow and they said they would get me in about 30 minutes. I know that towing trucks sometimes take a while so although I was praying they would get here in 30 minutes or faster, I would have understood if I had to wait. However, Toh, the tow truck person, came in about 25-30 minutes and was able to tow my car with no problem. I do not get towed very often but Toh was the friendliest tow truck person I have ever met. He introduced himself and shook my hand, and then gave me an umbrella to shield myself from the rain. On the drive to the auto place, Tho was very friendly and conversational and we talked about our jobs, past, and basically other random subjects. He was very funny and personable. After we got my car to the auto place, Tho waited around to make sure my car was okay and then drove me to my apartment with no extra charge (I'm not sure if tow trucks usually charge extra for that but I thought that they would). Overall, my experience was a great one and I would recommend this towing service to anyone. read more
