Very tasty, but for $25 lunch bowl, the size of the salmon is pretty skinny. Used to have herbs : dill, mint, cilantro & parsley, but I don't see any of them.

Ordered over $100 in pasties but they would not give me a 2nd box to split the order into

The quality of Chaumont has really gone downhill and the service has been terrible the last 2 times I was there. Pastries did not seem fresh the last couple visits- not like they used to be. I ordered over $100 in pastries the last time I was there and they'd placed everything in one large box. When I asked for a smaller empty box so I could separate some pastries for a friend I was with to take home, the woman behind the counter making the coffee (not the one who took my order) rudely told me she didn't have any boxes and when I explained I wanted to split the order into 2 boxes, she said no. Mind you, they literally had a stack of smaller empty boxes on the counter...likely won't be returning any time soon.

We stopped here for a quick bite on Saturday, Unlike other places on Beverly Blvd , there were plenty of table available, the service was fast and staff were friendly. They also had outdoor sitting with plenty of open tables. As for food, the avocado toast was very well made, loved the latte, but their croissants were more on the dry side.

It's great to know that this place is staying solid after all these years. It still is the best croissant in LA! They have added more choices of their pastries every time I come. Surprisingly great! Today, Sunal was very helpful. She's so accommodating and friendly and truly knows the goodies they're offering at the Vegan shop. Oh, fyi, they have vegan shop separate from the regular shop. Both owned by the same company.

A cute lil cafe with a small patio and few indoor dining tables. We came at a very quiet time so were able to grab an inside table, away from the heat. My daughter had the pancakes with a buttery whipped cream and poached pear, delish. I had a folded mushroom omelette that came with a side arugula salad that was all dressed with so yummy, sprigs of dill. Very tasty and the size satisfying. Next time we'll need to try the pastries as they're very talked about. Overall a nice and quiet escape from the 'crazy' of N Beverly Dr.

They do run out of pastries so if you are looking for something specific, be sure to go at a good time. They do close earlier than other shops but they are one of the few that are also opened early at 6:30am for those that work at 7am. The space is beautiful, with high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows making space look bright and airy. My favorite dessert has been their flourless chocolate small cake although shame on me for never trying their croissants! Also a great option for those who are vegan as they have Chaumont vegan next door as well.

This was such a neat little find in the heart of Beverly Hills, the restaurant takes me right back into the cafés in Paris, and they serve very authentic French baked goods. The vibe was perfection, visually the decor was beautiful, and the servers were very friendly. They have a large selection of unique French pastries that you wouldn't find normally in other bakeries. Highly recommend this little treasure, and I look forward to visiting again.

Very much enjoyed breakfast here, I ordered the breakfast sandwich with egg and cheese, which came with a small side salad, the mocha was pretty good as well. Small seating area inside and 1-2 tables outside, service was quick and efficient.

    Lost my appetite

There was a bug in the food I purchased. The staff appears to lack the necessary attention to inspect the packaging before distribution. Additionally, the staff's demeanor is unprofessional and discourteous.

Chaumont is my favorite pre-work spot when I am in town. The coffee is consistently good. Pastries are delicious. The favorites include the almond croissant and a latte with almond milk. I just came back from Paris and the pastries are comparable. It is definitely on the pricier side ($5 for a plain croissant...they were $3 in Paris...) so one star docked down. The staff is very friendly and will bring your pastry and coffee to you if having your item there. I tend to enjoy my items there and put in an hour or so of work before heading to the office. It is quiet and calm despite the number of people getting their morning fuel.

Delish croissant. Can't get enough of their pastries and coffees. Soooo good. Great place to snap a pic with friends too.

Make your breakfast like you are in Paris! If you are a croissant lover, this place is your choice! Also they have got many kind of bakery items to choose! Don't miss this place when you shop in Beverly Hills!

Ambiance feels like a busy small community cafe on one of the Greek islands. They seem always busy. About 90% of the tables were occupied on a Monday morning at 1030 AM. Wasn't expecting it but after trying some of the dishes I can certainly see why this place is a local favorite. Also lots of free parking in the back which takes a load of stress off for an OC girl like myself. Here's what we tried: 1. Homestyle Cornbread: this is incredible. Cornbread made to order in a skillet with actual corn on Cobb on top to give it the upmost appeal. Served with cultured butter on the side which was fantastic. Worth coming back just for this. 2. Thai Tuna and Avocado Tartare: also phenomenal shared plate. Very generous amount of tuna/cucumber/purple onion tartare on a bed of sliced avocado and lime juice. All dressed in a coconut milk vinaigrette (KEY ingredient). Sooooo incredible, please order. My favorite dish here. 3. Empanadas: option for breakfast empanadas or others (beef, spinach). Went for the breakfast empanadas which had, I believe, sausage and cheese filling. Wasn't much flavor with Not much filling and more of the crust. Personally would pass on this one or try a different one. Two per order. 4. Butcher's burger with side salad: very rich and juicy Wagyu/Angus beef patty with onion jam (not too sweet), herb aioli, lettuce, and pickles in a brioche bun. Pretty good but the other two above stole the light. 5. Color burst latte: your usual latte but with a burst of rainbow art which just gives its unique personality. Would order at least one for the table. Fun to try 6. Matcha lemonade: interesting flavor. Get the matcha kick with a citrus twist. Overall great place for hang out with friends. Casual vibe with cocktails and great food. See myself coming here more often especially with convenient parking.

Fries were good this time, but I would go without the pizza in the future. On their final opening night I arrived too early; forgetting that dinner didn't start for an hour so I had the fries (again) while waiting for dinner. Thankfully, the order was put in a little earlier and I was able to enjoy the Penne alla Vodka. I was on the fence about the 20-Layer Cake but I ended up caving in, getting it to go for later. Unlike the first time I got this, they now had a perfect, custom box for the slice to fit whereas before they had to cut the cake in half to fit it into the box they had at the time. I know the New York location has delivery/to-go only, but there is still the Las Vegas one. Sad to see this place close down, as the location seems to be a curse for so many places (Hamburger Hamlet, Rivabella, Roku, now Lavo...).

During my foodie relatives' Thanksgiving week visit to Honolulu, we were discussing making…read morerestaurant reservations for our upcoming Christmas/New Year visit to Los Angeles. However, after we raved about our multiple dining experiences at LAVO Las Vegas, we were surprised to learn that none of our relatives had ever dined at the restaurant's Los Angeles location. So, when the opportunity arose, I made an after-Christmas dinner reservation through OpenTable and excitedly waited. We knew exactly where LAVO Los Angeles was located, as we had frequently driven past the Sunset Medical Tower on Sunset Boulevard and had eaten at the same restaurant space before it changed hands several times over the past decade or so. They offer valet service, which only accepts credit card payments, and because of the restaurant's location, you might as well use the service, because you'd be hard-pressed to find street parking. Our group of six arrived at the restaurant about 30 minutes before our reservation and were greeted by a friendly hostess who asked whether we were ready to be seated or preferred to wait in the bar. We chose to be seated, and she escorted us into the quiet, warm, yet festively decorated dining room. The busser approached us, took our water service request, and informed us about who our server would be. Our server, Addison, came to our table while the busser refilled our water glasses and offered assorted citrus slices to flavor them. After my brother-in-law showed Addison the magnum of wine he brought and asked if the sommelier could uncork the bottle, since it was not only a 2006 vintage but also had a long, possibly fragile cork, even though they kept the bottle in their personal wine storage. Unfortunately, they didn't have a sommelier on duty, and Addison informed us of the restaurant's impending end-of-year closure and confidently said she could uncork it with her trusty corkscrew. However, my brother-in-law decided to give it the "ol' college try" and successfully uncorked the bottle. FOOD: -Fritto Misto: a platter of lightly battered and fried zucchini, shrimp, calamari, and vinegary peppers with marinara was delivered to our table and was quickly shared and devoured. Everyone felt the fritto misto was light, delicious, and perfectly cooked. $28 -The Meatball: We've often seen this appetizer ordered at the Las Vegas site, but we never ordered it because we felt it was too much food to share between us. However, now that we had our family surrounding us, we ordered it. The 16-oz meatball is made with fresh-ground imperial Wagyu, Italian sausage, and veal. It is served with whipped ricotta and marinara. We shared the tender, toothsome meatball among us and sopped up the sauce with garlic bread. $34 -Semolina Sesame Garlic Bread: Addison highly recommended this garlic bread to pair with The Meatball and sipping on our Cabernet blend wine. The lightly grilled-toasted loaf was served with three dipping sauces (marinara, basil pesto, & Gorgonzola dolce). $18 -Zitoni Genovese: braised short rib, sweet onions, pecorino Romano. I received a generous portion of Neapolitan or Sicilian zitoni pasta (larger ziti tubes) and an intensely flavorful, tomato-wine-based, fall-apart tender, slow-braised short ribs ragù. This comfort-food pasta dish was so rich and filling that I could barely eat half the portion and ended up bringing home leftovers. $33 -Faroe Island Salmon Oreganato: My husband cut into the salmon filet, which had a light crisp coating of breadcrumbs and revealed the fillet's tender medium-rare doneness. The rich, buttery-tasting salmon filet sat atop a melange of sautéed vegetables and was dressed with a lemon, white wine, and garlic butter sauce. My husband jokingly said he could feel his heart health improving with each bite. $39 The rest of my family ordered their own entrees, and when we were nearly finished with our meals, we decided to share a dessert. We ordered the luscious 20 Layer Chocolate Cake ($29), and each of us commented on the "decadence" of chocolate, peanut butter, and mascarpone. During our dining experience, Addison informed us that LAVO Los Angeles would sadly be closing at the end of the year. We were happy to have supported this restaurant, and it was great to see so many others show their support during the Holidays.
