Chaumont has a pretty limited food menu (only 2 lunch entree items), so if you're looking for a big variety, this place isn't it. But I was here for the pastries, so no problem for me. They also have coffee you can buy to enjoy with your meal. Interior was cute with comfy seating, with a couple tables outside also. Their display case has a few pastries, but there are no signs of what they are or what their prices are. I got one of most everything they offered, and they were all ok, I would say the taste of everything is 3/5 (I'm using my favorite french bakery Le Saint Honore as a baseline). Their regular croissants are flaky, but not buttery, and visually unappealing. They don't use an egg wash, so they look dry and kinda ugly. I wouldn't buy this again. Tbh, doesn't really fit the description of a croissant but the texture is too good to pass. - Pain Au Chocolat (4/5): It's good! I prefer a little bit of chocolate to change things up. - Regular Croissant (4/5): It's also good! Now, Chaumont's physical space isn't massive - there are just a few booths inside. So, my two friends and I decided to soak up the sunshine and sat outside. As we were happily munching away, a busboy started cleaning up tables and rearranging chairs on the patio. At one point, he strolled up to our table and quietly swiped one of our chairs without a word. We informed him that our friend was using it but had gone to the restroom. His response? "Each table should only have two chairs," he mumbled, even though a nearby group had grabbed five chairs for themselves. I have no idea what his deal was, but it left us scratching our heads and a bit annoyed. So, I've got to knock off a couple of stars for that strange encounter. To sum it all up, Chaumont in Beverly Hills does serve up some scrumptious pastries, even if they didn't quite reach my sky-high expectations. Just be prepared for the occasional service hiccup, like our head-scratching run-in with the busboy. This was a cute brunch cafe right by our hotel in Beverly Hills. It really reminded me of a cafe you could find when walking the streets of Paris! I ordered the breakfast croissant and the truffle egg omelette. Both were delicious and came with a salad of fresh greens. The omelette was on the pricier side (due to the truffle), but it was very rich in truffle flavor. The croissant was also freshly made and it had eggs, beef bacon, and some sauce inside. I enjoyed both the toast and the croissants on two separate occasions, but if I had to pick just one, I would go for the croissants since that's what they are known for and their most popular item. They make them very well, and the prices for the croissants were reasonable. Of course, just keep in mind that everything here has that Beverly Hills upcharge. Delicious pastries in Beverly Hills. A seating area outside provides a great view with a cup of coffee on a Sunday morning. People bustle by working out or stopping in to get baked goods. You never know who or what you might see. For us it was a white Ferrari on a coffee run ...lol. I hope it had cup holders. The pastries were amazing and ask them to take you thru the host of options.
