First time coming here on Saturday and will not be my last! To say the least I was obsessed lol the vibe, music, service and aesthetic. I mean what more could you ask for. It was so clean and nice that they have indoor and outdoor seating. Came for the matcha and left with zero complaints. Hoping to try some food next time as their menu had so many items available.

In the heart of Beverly Hills. Beautiful coffee. Beautiful decor and ambiance . Beautiful people. Say no more.

Esso Coffee was just okay. I ordered an extra hot mocha, but it arrived only warm. The mocha itself wasn't very memorable. My daughter ordered a refresher, but she didn't enjoy it and didn't even finish it. The pastry selection was also limited. The café is clean and the staff was friendly, but overall it wasn't a place we would return to.

Matcha squared

The matcha here was amazing! I like how it's not too sweet, you can still taste the matcha, and it's not bitter! However, it's kind of pricey, (8.5 for a matcha) There's a lot of variety with coffee, matcha, etc. They also have food (sandwiches, bowls, pizza, breakfast, pastries) It's very clean here and spacious. Lots of seating and pretty empty when I went. The staff is nice and pretty quick, nothing crazy. You can tell they use good quality stuff.

Flat White - beautiful and perfect

I had some time to kill before my appointment and stumbled onto Esso Caffe. An elegant coffee shop on the corner of Bedford and Brighton in Beverly Hills. These unplanned stops are my favorite because it's always an adventure. The place is beautiful inside. I found a table near the back with a couch to do some work and take a call. The music inside is low so you can chat or work without distraction. I started with a Flat White. This is all about the ratios and it was perfect. The espresso was smooth. They have a decent amount of food options so I tried the poached eggs served with a yogurt base and some yummy pita crisps that pulled everything together. I ended my stay with a hot Spanish latte. Another nice drink, light sweetened and smooth like a good scotch. They use Italian beans from Cafe Voloce. Staff was friendly and helpful guiding me around the menu. Service is not rushed but efficient. So the stress levels stay low and the coffee continue to flow. I thought about an iced coffee for the road but didn't want to over do it. I definitely will be back.

Just found this new spot in Downtown Beverly Hills for . Normallyin DTBH, It's very hard to find a coffe place where you can sit whole day comfortably and get some work done. This Esso Cafe just opened recently, and has tons of indoor + outdoor seating! Super clean, nice vibe, and surprisingly reasonable prices for Beverly Hills. Definitely a good work/study cafe spot

Location recently opened up. It's truly one of the prettiest coffee shops in BH, which says alot as there are about 3 coffee shops on every corner. Aesthetically a cute place, with green velvet seating, plenty of natural lighting, outdoor dining, open and spacious floor plan, and floor to ceiling window that is fully opened. An influencers dream for sure. Staff was friendly. Seemed like a popular place to grab lunch or breakfast. I only had a latte. Latte was good, a bit on the pricier side compared to other shops but makes sense as their to go cups are on the more elevated side. I'll def return to check out their lunch. When it comes to coffee, people have their preference. Some like sweet, some like bitter, so it's hard for me to judge the latte. But overall, i'd say this place is worth a visit if you like visiting coffee shops.

Pretty good café with excellent pastries and coffee. I tried the Nutella and pistachio cream croissants, and both were fresh, flaky, and full of flavor. The cappuccino was smooth and well made. Nice atmosphere and a great spot to relax or grab breakfast. I would definitely come back again. !

Avocado baby food toast.

I've been going to this place for over a year but only ordered coffee. Today I decided to order avocado toast and couldn't believe that I was served avocado spread out of a bag... so so so disappointing! especially for the fact that we're in California with no shortage of avocados on top of that, fact this location is in the centre of Beverly Hills, is unacceptable .As soon as I saw the spread I knew better but was so hungry I had to taste it and it taste exactly how it looks, like baby food.

Banana bread and cookie to go

Esso is a brand new coffee shop in Beverly Hills. It's been around for 3 months. It's aesthetically very pleasing in here. They have green velvet booths and round tables. It's an order up at the counter type place. Pretty busy around lunch time but the line was not long. I got banana bread and a little raspberry cookie to-go. I was really impressed with the presentation. It was served with fresh fruit. The banana bread was delicious and moist. The cookie was perfection as good as it looked. I also am pretty sure the owner was there making sure everyone got their orders. Love when the owners are hands on. Always a plus. And when she went into the back I saw the wood burning oven for pizza...yum, yum! Street parking available but a bit difficult to find a space.

Coffee & cake

Cute cafe, good coffee, good service. They serve food also but we just got a poppy seed cake which wasn't bad. Wish they had more savory pastry options. Regardless would be back for their coffee. Cheers!

esso Café - Beverly Hills Walking around Beverly Hills, I randomly stumbled into EOS Café -- and wow, what a find! I wasn't expecting an Arab-inspired coffee spot like this right in the middle of Beverly Hills, but it absolutely exceeded my expectations. The barista (who I think was also the cashier) was super friendly and helpful. I asked for his recommendation, and he did not miss -- the espresso was bold and flavorful, the perfect balance of sweet and strong, and the matcha was smooth, rich, and delicious. I'm still wired just thinking about it! I also tried two of their pastries -- the banana nut bread and lemon bread -- and both were so good. Fresh, moist, and beautifully presented. Even the plating was cute! The café itself is cozy and aesthetic -- clean, well-designed, and the vibe sitting by the window overlooking the street was just perfect for catching up with a friend. It's such a lovely little spot to chill, chat, and people-watch. Overall, Esso Café is definitely a must-visit. Great coffee, amazing matcha, delicious pastries, and genuinely kind staff. Whoever made my drinks deserves a raise -- I'll 100% be coming back

This place was quite pleasant. It was empty so every table was available. The cortado was made quickly and tasted amazing. It was the perfect way to start my morning before my walk. The furniture and decors are so cute ! Love the green velvet seating.

The Caffé Latte with the vanilla crème top is hands down the best latte I have had in LA. So impressed.

Been here before and the food is generally good, but service has always been touch and go. This…read morevisit was a step down even from that. Walked in on a Sunday around 11:30am, restaurant maybe a quarter full. Seated in a corner with incomplete silverware, no menus for several minutes, no water for even longer. Waited another 10-15 minutes with menus in hand before anyone came to take our order. The food wait aside, what really stood out was the lack of basic check-ins. No "sorry for the wait," no acknowledgment, and when I finally asked for the bill, the manager came over with the terminal, took payment, and walked off without much of a follow-up except to hand over boxes. Just a little warmth goes a long way! Food, when it arrived: * Landwer's Pancakes: the highlight. Three pancakes tall with seasonal fruit, whipped cream, Nutella, and maple syrup. Delicious and a generous portion. * Croissant Sandwich: disappointing. Tough, chewy croissant with thinner filling than the bread size warranted. Hard to get a clean bite. The Century City location is convenient, and parking on weekend mornings is easy before the crowds roll in.

I've been to Cafe Landwer a few times over the years, and it was usually decent. After today,…read morethough, I don't have any interest in returning. My friend and I made a reservation for outdoor dining for brunch. We arrive right around our reservation time to find nobody at the podium. After a few minutes, a woman comes up and asks, "For two?" before immediately turning around and walking the other way, to which point we stop her and say that we actually had a reservation which we gave her all the details for. She stopped for about half a second, grabbed menus, then turned around again and brought the menus to an indoor table, then just walked away without making eye contact. She did not even tell us to follow her nor say a single word to us once we were seated. No worries, right? Wrong. We perused the menus and waited for about ten minutes, with no staff members coming by to help us. We started looking around to try to flag someone down, but each staff member was either not looking in our direction and/or wearing a different outfit from the next staff member, with some outfits almost having a nightclub aesthetic than wait staff. Eventually, another individual comes by our table and, again, without greeting us or making any eye contact, aloofly says, "Just order off the QR code," which we didn't see because the menus were covering it. Now, my friend who I was with works in the mall, and I know the restaurant offers a discount for mall employees, so as the employee was walking away, I called out and asked if we would still get the discount if ordering off the QR code, and he said yes. Note that in all the times my friend and I have eaten here in the past, it was always traditional table service. Then, we go to place our order, and after adding everything to the basket, it tries to charge my credit card. At this point, almost 20 minutes had gone by since we arrived, with still no single greeting or water or silverware set or anything. I get up to speak to another waiter who was helping nearby tables, to which I am again told to just order off the QR code but was reassured that the mall discount would be applied once the tab was settled. So we oblige and place our order through the portal. Several minutes later, the same waiter who I had most recently spoken with had come to our table (mind you, this is the first time someone came to our table in the entire time we were seated) and said that the restaurant was out of some of the items on our menu. And it was at this point that we FINALLY got waters. At this point, we had to look through the menu again, but it was getting to the point where we were going to miss our movie, so we had to just abandon ship and eat at the mall food court. Upon leaving, the only acknowledgement we got was from the first woman who "brought" us to our table, which was a petty smile and wave. Allow me to make myself clear. I hold no animosity against any establishment for being short-staffed, for requiring QR code ordering, or for being out of ingredients. This stuff just happens. What I do have an issue with is the astounding lack of any grace or hospitality, without even a simple "Whenever you're ready go ahead and use the QR codes on the table" or even a welcome. It just felt as though every person was just trying to get by with doing the bare minimum, and every employee had attitude. Even the couple next to us, who had been seated before we arrived, never got acknowledged. It's honestly a shame, because many of the items here are great, and the offerings are unique, but if this is how Cafe Landwer chooses to operate and treat its customers, I won't be back.
