I can't believe it took me this long to finally try Cava. We were looking for a quick bite before going into the apple store and decided to finally give this place a try! We ordered the spicy lamb + avocado and steak harissa bowl and they were both SO good. I can't decide which I like more. Service is quick and friendly. There's limited seating inside, about 6-7 tables with a few chairs but it looked like most people were getting take out anyways. 10/10 would recommend and for SURE will be back.

CAVA!! My favorite LA chain, it's basically a mediterranean version of Chipotle. In terms of "slop bowl" shops, this is definitely my favorite - there's just so many different toppings and everything is flavor packed. There's not a lot of seating inside tho - you'll have to sit outside. It was unfortunately raining when I went so the seats were a bit wet - but still, I enjoyed my CAVA nonetheless

Fast customer service, mostly clean indoor seating, and fresh ingredients at this CAVA location. Debating if I should sign up for their rewards program lol. The Build Your Own is an excellent choice always. I usually get grilled chicken, hummus, half salad and half grains, olives, sauce on the side etc but never feta cheese... hard pass haha. I tried this location because I was at the Westfield Century City Mall and this was one of the food options outside on the upper levels.

Hungry people in line, here's my order if you want a fun idea: -Basmati + greens -Regular chicken (harissa is good too) -Feta dip + harissa -Avocado (extra), cucumbers and tomatoes, kalamata olives, feta, fiery broccoli -Top with Greek vinaigrette Reading reviews here I was a bit concerned I'd end up with a nightmare situation (especially considering I was there during a marathon). The opposite happened however. Despite people being rude, overbearing (hands over the food guard to point - who does this?!), and demanding, the employees took it all in stride. The line was ridiculously long, but Cava is delicious, a more "affordable" healthier meal option, and a major event was ongoing. They're awesome. I noted employees mentioned in other reviews - then noticed hey wait, the music is loud, the line is loud... Maybe this affects things too. Of course the obvious question after everything is: How was my food? It was hearty, salty, savory, with the slightest hint of heat that made today's adventure that much better. If I'm ever in the area again, I hope to revisit.

Tried Cava for the first time, and I loved the food! Fresh ingredients and great flavors. However, the service at this location was disappointing. The workers seemed annoyed, like they didn't want to be there, and I felt rushed while ordering. Based on many other reviews, bad service seems to be the pattern here. Overall, the food was great, but the customer service could use some improvement.

Ambiance: it's located inside the century city mall, closes later than most other food places Service: very friendly although not the most efficient operation, you place the order and pay at the counter Food: variety of choices for pre-set items or build your own SPICY CHICKEN PITA - **** harissa honey chicken and the hot harissa vinaigrette, hummus, pickles, fire-roasted corn, crumbled feta, and pickled onions, recommend BUILD YOUR OWN BOWL - **** base of lentils and kale, drippings of TZATZIKI, RED PEPPER HUMMUS, and HARISSA, mains of BRAISED LAMB and GRILLED STEAK, toppings of FIRE-ROASTED CORN, TOMATO + ONION, PITA CRISPS, CRUMBLED FETA, and KALAMATA OLIVES, dressings of HOT HARISSA VINAIGRETTE and SKHUG, lamb and skhug sauce were particularly good, recommend for the variety Price: affordable prices and generous portions, about $15~$20 per person for a quick meal

Excellent food alternative to any fast casuals and has been on top of my go-to lists! If you like healthy Mediterranean inspired fast casuals restaurants, CAVA does not disappoint! I usually get half grain half veggie and opt in for braised lamb and all toppings. Their lamb is one of the best among fast food chains and very tender and flavorful. You cannot go wrong with any of the sauces either as all of them are delicious and not too heavy. I also found their drink selection pleasantly delicious! We like Blueberry Lavender the most, followed by Pineapple Apple Mint and Cucumber Mint Lime. Really happy to see CAVA entering more retail locations and keep the bar high for rest of the food chains.

Food here is always delicious and fresh! The workers are friendly and also very quick, inside isn't super nice overall because it's Santa Monica but it's a great place for takeout!

A…read morehusband-and-wife team has taken Middle Eastern fusion next-level on all fronts, centered in the ARTS DISTRICT - if you sit in the bar, you can eat under a waterfall of pathos & take suggestions from SAM & MULLIN. Food is best enjoyed family-style, but not if you don't want to share, as in my case. It's magical in the way only LA can be, beautiful because Genevieve is hands-on with artful touches (in atmosphere and PASTRIES), and 100% delicious for all senses. To begin, CHERRY TOMATO a BOMB @ss party in my mouth!!! One dish that's actually more delicious than it is beautiful (and it IS both) - silken feta, like yogurt without fermentation, underlies genuinely sweet cherry tomatoes and strawberries that are a bright, fruity POP next to roasted harissa & cilantro - cuts through like FIRECRACKERS with sesame crunch. It's MAGIC. Second, some FRIED QUAIL - THE MOST ELEGANT fried thing I've ever eaten, and I mean that in the BEST way. SO tender, moist quail in the crispiest, tastiest buttermilk semolina coating with XO (a little bit spicy, a lotta bit savory - not ashamed to say I licked the plate) and a sprinkling of ROSE petals. GET IT, SHARE IT, no more than 2 per plate (and you may want an encore...). THIRD, an otherworldly DUCK HUMMUS - SMOOTH like butter, SAVORY like 'NDUJA and slightly curried with fluffy HOT PITA fresh from the oven. I dare you to find better, please tell me if you do. A proverbial cherry-on-top (except this one is a...) PEACH TART! Perfect peaches fanned over a buttery crust that melts in the mouth - it's a marrying of barely-there crust and creamy center (underlying whip is barely sweet, like happy clouds). My greatest disappointment is not having friends to share my delight & order more - I have no doubts everything on the menu is equally exceptional, and CANNOT WAIT for the day we return together!

We went to Bavel for a special dinner and, overall, had a good experience, although it was…read moredefinitely on the pricey side. I made an OpenTable reservation about 10-15 minutes before arriving, and I'm glad I did because there was already a short line when we got there. There's valet parking for $13 for smaller cars/SUVs and $20 for larger trucks, plus tip, so definitely factor that into the meal cost. Street parking looked pretty difficult, so we were happy to just hand over the keys and not worry about it. Even with a reservation, we waited about 10 minutes. The restaurant is beautiful, and as you walk toward the dining room, you can see the fire blazing in the background. Unfortunately, our table was close enough to the fire that one side of us was basically being slow-roasted. We asked to move, and the staff was incredibly nice and switched us to another table immediately. Food-wise, this was definitely a mixed bag. The 26 oz prime ribeye ($185) was the biggest disappointment. I know it's an expensive special-occasion dish, and I saw a Yelp review calling it 10/10, so we thought, why not? Sadly, it was probably the worst ribeye I've ever had. There was a lot of silver skin/tough connective tissue throughout the meat, and for $185, I just don't think it was worth it. 1/5 for me. The grilled prawns were my favorite dish of the night and were excellent. My husband loved the lamb neck shawarma ($61). It was a little too rich for me, but I can see why he liked it, and at $61, it actually felt like one of the better values of the meal. We also enjoyed the duck hummus. The hummus with two pieces of pita was $19, but that definitely wasn't enough for three people, so we ordered two more pieces for another $10. That brought us to $29 for hummus and four pieces of pita. Delicious? Yes. A bargain? Absolutely not. Even in California, that's a lot of pita math. We also tried the Samira cocktail ($18), which they said was their most popular drink. It was good, but not particularly memorable for that price. There's also a 4% "Healthy LA" charge, so that's something to keep in mind when looking at the menu prices. For three people, our total was about $375 before tip, or a little over $120 per person. That's actually more than we spent at Nobu, so yes, I think Bavel is overpriced. But was the food good overall? Also yes. I'm glad we tried it, and I'd probably come back for the grilled prawns and maybe the shawarma. But the $185 ribeye? That one can stay at Bavel.
