I was en route to another coffee shop when this posh café caught my eye. The décor is aesthetically pleasing - reminiscent of a cozy European café. It's so pristine and IG friendly. A darling lady greeted me and asked if I had been here before. I told her it was my first time. She enthusiastically said. "Let me tell you our story." Turns out she was the owner, Suzy Hovanesyan. In addition to coffee, lattes, & date shakes made with dates sourced from around the world, Café Sheera offers Mediterranean sweets, traditional pastries, & sandwiches - all made with fresh ingredients and free from any chemicals, additives, or preservatives. She mentioned that their coffee is imported from Italy and that the Signature Herbal Lattes are a best seller as well as the Baklava Latte, which is flavored with honey & pistachios. It was the worst coffee I have ever had in my life! This place was recommended by my hairdresser. I went there with couple of friends and we ordered the Arabic coffee. It came out cold, watery and tasted awful! Add to that that it was very pricey! The barista tried to explain why it is like that, not knowing that she was digging deeper. That was a sign for me to go inside and check out this Mediterranean style, chic pastry and coffee joint. I peruse the various items and ended up getting an interesting Lotay and a date to go. I never had the chance to try anything. I cannot speak for the food since we left before even asking a question. The service drove us away... The day in question I was so excited to come to this cafe as it is on my to do list and I have driven or walked by it many times. As we enter, the girl sitting behind the counter, who is talking to a coworker gives a deep sigh, rolles her eyes and reluctantly gets up to stand in front of us at the counter... no greeting, no nothing. So, I figured, for my best interests, I try not to eat food that has been touched by negative people as I feel that it can make the food bad, as bad intentions never produce quality things. A quick talk with my friend and we literally turned around and walked out. Cafe Sheera is my absolute favorite place for the best coffee and specialty drinks in L.A. The Egyptian Rose is a light tasting tea latte with fragrant hints of florals. Delicious! I also love the Pistachio Date Shake during warm weather. Refreshing and light. All coffee options are perfection, and they also do the Arabic sand box coffee which is an experience to watch them make it. They offer a vast pastry selection, sandwiches, and custom-made desserts with dates--the signature boxes make for a unique gift. I gifted one to my friend and she said it was a step up from a traditional chocolate box. The vibe is chill and pretty, florals throughout, great back drop for Instagram and TikTok posts. A solid mix of music is played at a comfortable sound level. There is some outdoor seating if you want to people watch Beverly Hills locals pass by. The service is good, everyone friendly. Holy sleepy, Mom's medical appointment went longer than usual that I started to doze off in the waiting area. I'll admit it was a little embarrassing, so I decided to get up, get out and walk it off. Refreshing and matcha flavor was the very center of it. SPINACH AND FETA SPANAKOPITA: Baked fresh and flaky. The spinach and feta stuffing was savory delish! That was gone in no time! ALMOND CROISSANT: Like the spanakopita, also baked fresh. The dough was with a great fluff! Plenty enough almonds for each bite. Also delish! FOOD: 4. SERVICE: 5 Really friendly staff! VALUE: 2.5. Two things that are a downer which I realize is just a California thing (so I won't knock off a star) : no bathroom - how??? , no WiFi. Thank goodness for a hotspot. Great place to have some coffee or cappuccino and catch up. There is even a designated place on the wall for a photo op. Classical rock music playing in the background. A relaxing setting. There is indoor and outdoor seating here. It used to have lots of sidewalk seating as well. However, the street is currently under construction so there is less seating outside. In my opinion, the inside of this place is preferable anyways. Cafe Sheera is known for their stuffed dates.They are a healthy snack/dessert. The rose stuffed one I got was very beautiful to look at. Pretty in pink on the inside. Roses up top. At $5 for one date they are quite pricey. These Al Madina dates are much smaller than the Medjool dates I usually eat. They have some dates and kunefe splayed out with different dippings... must be sold by the 2. There goes $10. These were also VERY small dates like girrl get us some fat juicy dates! The pastries are ordinary man I was let down!! I came wanting to be pleased with this cute place that has dates, but hey you fooling some people so for that, thumbs up girl get it. For others...we see right through you. I would say lots of potential and I know this market is hard and especially being in this location I get it. As someone who works in the area, I've given this café several chances over time, hoping it might improve--but unfortunately, the drinks continue to disappoint every single visit. I'm currently forcing myself to sip a cup brought in by a client, and it's honestly hard to get through. The flavor is harsh, and there's no depth--just pure bitterness. Even worse, I've had people walk into my office asking me to throw out their Matcha because it was so bad they couldn't finish it. I'm not usually one to leave reviews, especially negative ones, but this is wild. For a café in Beverly Hills with such a high price point, I expect a lot better. It's clear the baristas need proper training--not just in espresso drinks, but especially in preparing a decent Matcha. The sandwiches are premade then heated up and they are not great at all. The candied bacon and turkey sandwich is apparently their best seller but once it was heated...the bread becomes soggy, the onions were still cold and the bacon was all fat. My coffee took a while to be made and there was only one other person in the store. The barista "forgot"... I also experienced a gentlemen that waited 25 mins for his arabic coffee. They did not want to refund me instead they offered a pastry when I returned the sandwich and it was said that "its going to be difficult on our end to process a refund" ... the service ladies were sweet but the level of service did not match the prices. I also ordered the Baklava Coffee which comes with a baklava treat "for free" ... I saw later on the receipt that the cost of the tiny baklava was charged. I had extremely high hopes for this place but I was completely disappointed and will not go back again nor recommend. read more

I have heard about this cafe on IG but never thought I would end up here by walking to my car from a shopping trip. The cafe is very cute with a floral wall that's perfect for taking pictures. They serve freshly baked pastries and croissants. Variety of coffee drinks and smoothies. I ordered an iced coffee and my husband got the Armenian coffee. He didn't like the coffee saying it had an after taste but the iced coffee was ok. The ambiance is great so is the service. Will stop by again when in the area. read more

The coffee was good and my son had a banana smoothie which he LOVED but it was very pricey. Each drink was 12oz I think and it was $20 for two and then we got two small dates for $5 each. They weren't anything special so I wouldn't get those again. We got the rose one and the macadamia. First the place is beautiful with a flower wall on pinks and purples that you cant help but smile at. The baristas are so knowledgeable and helpful. They explained all their food and drink offerings and helped us narrow down the choices. We got an egg and cheese croissant, an almond croissant, and a chocolate cinnamon twist pastry. I finally came here after book marking this place and meaning to come years ago. I loved it, and it's just as good as I hoped. The place is SO CUTE and the staff is also helpful and sweet.
