We are regulars at Tryst and often stop by during our lunch breaks. On this occasion, we were simply passing by, and one of our coworkers realized they hadn't brought a fork. We stopped in to kindly ask if we could have one. The employee working at the time stared at her basket of forks and then stared at us for quite a while before replying that they do not allow outside food, and therefore would not provide a fork. While we understand policies, the interaction came across as unnecessarily unfriendly. This was not the first time we've felt unwelcome. On previous visits, we've noticed being charged for every small request, being lectured about charges on sauces. Combined with this most recent experience, it left us with a very negative impression. As regular customers who have supported Tryst often, it's disappointing to be treated this way, even if the incident was small.We've never came across a restaurant that would be stingy and rude for a togo fork. Unfortunately, our group has decided we will no longer be returning. read more

Ordered matcha rose boba tea. It was delish!! Tried their Nutella crepe and iced horchata latte too. Crepe was served warm with a drizzle of nutella, it was good. Horchata latte was delicious! Not too sweet or too bland. It was perfect! This is a small place across the street from Saks fifth avenue men's store entrance. Around 12 pm, it got a little busy but could still find some seating inside. It has nice upbeat cuban music playing in the background and the service was great! Amazing coffee and refreshers, with a really soothing and comfortable ambiance. The owner is very nice and friendly, in addition to all the workers; they all had smiles on their faces and treated us with kindness. Tryst Caffé opened about two months and is the newest cafe in Beverly Hills. It's on Wilshire Bl and Bedford across the street from Saks men's department store. Limited street meter parking. This real estate space has had so many previous tenants that didn't last, ie a salad place, coffee shop, Chinese Bao restaurant, so hope this café has more longevity and succeeds. During early power walks with my furbabe, we discovered this cafe and liked that there was no crowd, it was clean, organized and had some dazzling coffee drinks I like. Although their menu offer sandwiches, soup and salads, I've only had coffee drinks and pastries and I enjoyed all items. Service was cordial, accommodating and nice. Apple Pay is accepted. Indoor seating available but the techno music was a tad too loud. I always prefer outdoor seating and they have carrera marble top table as well as umbrella shades to help enjoy your lovely drink. Walked in on a random Sunday because I heard music playing. I walked in and saw a crowd of people dancing, laughing and having fun. Went to order food and had the BEST French toast I've ever had! The breakfast sandwich was equally amazing! I wish I took photos but we ate everything so quickly because it was delicious! we'll be back next week! read more

Recommend for coffee but didn't love my lunch here. I work in the area and have had coffee in the mornings from here a few times and the staff has always been pretty friendly. When I walked in for lunch the other day, the guy behind the counter didn't seem like he wanted to be bothered. I ordered a chicken wrap with side salad and paid $17 for a very average wrap and four pieces of lettuce. Perhaps this is competitive pricing for the area but the quality is definitely not. The wrap was fine but not worth the hefty price tag. They really outta be ashamed of what they tried to pass as a side salad because it's definitely more of a romaine garnish. read more

Good stuff!! I tried the fried chicken wrap - very different than most wraps I assure you. It comes with a choice of fries, sweet potato fries, or a salad. I ordered mine with the fries and they were crispy & salty - just how I like it. I also tried their breve decaf latte (yummy)! Tryst Cafe: Solid Breakfast Spot with a Smile. Tryst Cafe is a nice cozy spot in the heart of Beverly Hills, perfect for a casual breakfast. The atmosphere is bright and airy, with plenty of natural light streaming in. I went for breakfast and ordered the breakfast tacos. The first time I patronize a new restaurant I always pick an item off the menu that I know I'm not going to like. I actually dislike breakfast tacos with a passion. The rationality behind this is if a restaurant does the one item I dislike and they do it right then they probably know what they are doing in the kitchen. So how was it? The Breakfast Tacos were DELICIOUS!!!!! The eggs were cooked to my liking and the tortilla was soft and flavorful. The salsa was dressed just right and the avocado was nice and ripe green with no black spots. Not too soft and not too hard which is a rarity this days in restaurants. The utensils were spotless and the plate was super clean. Being in the restaurant industry all my life this an absolute must. The portion size was just right, and I left feeling satisfied. The service was friendly and attentive with a smile. The  food came out in a reasonable time. Bottom line: Since you are already searching for a breakfast spot in Beverly Hills that prioritizes quality, freshness, cleanliness, with a welcoming attitude then go to Tryst Cafe. The prices are typical of Beverly Hills. However when the food is this good the decision to spend your money at Tryst Cafe becomes easier and tastier. I will leave an updated review when I try the lunch menu. One final note. When I'm eating I don't like music blasting into my ear. I was pleasantly surprised when the volume was easy listening. read more

I recently visited the Tryst Cafe as a quick pitstop for coffee on my long drive, but I was delighted to discover such a great brunch spot! I tried the ahi tuna avocado with hesitation as it seemed pricy, but I was so glad to have gotten it as it was the most delicious brunch item I've had in a while. I felt like I was eating at a very high end sit in restaurant, all with the price being plenty affordable and reasonable. Everything was fresh and it was well worth the price, especially given the ambience of the place: it was welcoming and the owner/workers were very hospitable. I tried the coffee as well, ordering a salted caramel late I believe, which I always assume to be a letdown but once again, I gave the place a chance even with my very picky taste with coffee, and it was amazing! I will be coming again, and that's why I figured I would write a review... I usually don't on yelp, but this was deserved. This is a perfect cafe for a good brunch and a place that gives the right energy to sit and stay for a little while, I recommend 10/10, only "issue" was parking, which is kind of out of their hands... thank you for the amazing experience !! read more

I recently had visited Tryst Cafe for a leisurely brunch, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The cafe's ambiance is warm and inviting. The cozy atmosphere is perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet meal alone. The service was attentive and friendly. The staff made sure we were comfortable and checked in on us regularly without being intrusive. They were also knowledgeable about the menu and provided helpful recommendations. The only thing that threw me a little off was the amount of time that I had to wait to get my Lox Platter. It's a general favorite and really not that hard to prepare yet it took like 25 minutes to come out. But after all, the taste was very good and I did enjoy having it. Thank you! read more

Oh my !!! I just read a review of a customer who has noticed the decline of the service and attitude here, and it sounds very similar to my story ! I am also a customer at the hair salon on the block, and was really happy to find this place a year ago. Food and service were so great. But to my disappointment, recently, the same order of a certain salad I'd ordered just a week prior was horrible and not at all as is described on the menu! I had just had it a week before and it was excellent, but clearly on this day they had run out of ingredients and no one in the kitchen or at the front gave a sh--. Plus, sadly I had to wait at least 30 minutes just standing there as they prepared it to go. I discovered the inferior meal only when I got home, and I knew immediately something was up. I took one tastes and I threw it in the trash. Old, spoiled ingredients and missing the key components of this salad. Also, not a single apology or explanation from the guy who took the order when he handed it to me 30 minutes after I ordered it. There was only one other customer that day and no excuse for this much time to throw garbage in a to-go box! Sorry I have to write this, because they actually have the best damn chicken soup in the city, but I won't be going back for it now. Oh...but don't wait for a piece of bread with the soup. This is a charming new cafe! There is an excellent selection of coffee and food. I was blown away by how good the coffee and food tasted. Even an iced mocha was one of the best I've had. I am always a supporter of locally owned businesses, especially ones that offer great quality options. I recommend locals or even visitors to stop here. From the coffee to even just the freshness of the bread and the taste of the french fries, this place is perfect. The coffee is fantastic; the food is fresh, high quality, and organic, and the employees are amicable and welcoming. I'll be coming back often! read more

Had the vegan breakfast burrito. One of the better ones I've had . Very finely made. They weren't cheap with the extra sauce on the side. Had an overpriced kombucha too but they serve it to you at your table with a glass of ice, so it is what it is. read more
