I ordered a matcha with honey it was weak as heck I also had the croissant breakfast sandwich it was nothing to brag about. I asked the cashier if there was a restroom and she said "um ah yeah down the hall" failed to give me the code. Cozy, comfortable, and so many delicious choices. Gorgeous pastry window, especially if you're in a rush. Happily, I had time to sit in their inviting dining area and have a great breakfast. My dining companion really enjoyed the Eggs Benedict On Toast (Two poached eggs, roasted poblano hollandaise, roasted tomatoes, avocado, spinach pesto). It certainly looked amazing - and was rated high on the 'Let's find Eggs Benedict whenever possible' chart. My own dish was fantastic and hearty, the Power Rancheros. The menu claims that it contains forty four grams of protein (and that it's GF). Three over-easy eggs over a corn tortilla, black beans, turkey bacon, labneh, pico de gallo, pickled onions, red salsa make for a major meal. The combination of flavors worked so well together, and they even did well on the turkey bacon -- not always a sure thing. The fresh ground coffee is welcome and nicely flavored. It's a great complement to the meal. And yes, I ended up getting a croissant to go. I recommend Parakeet Cafe in Beverly Hills. It's a nice place to have a conversation and have a good meal. read more

I was looking for an afternoon pick me up and preferably a Matcha. We walked along Beverly Drive and came up across this café, which is strangely only a few doors down from a Starbucks. Knowing the taste of a Starbucks Matcha, we decided to check out the menu at Parakeet and I'm glad we did. If you're looking for a ceremonial grade Matcha, this was a delicious place to get a refreshing drink. They offer dairy and non-dairy milk options and the cups are adorable, including the stoppers. The stuff was friendly and the inside of this place has adorable decor. It feels like you're in a Palm Beach Café in the 1960s or 70s. They offer a lot of vegan and gluten-free options for dining, which all looked delicious. I will definitely come back to eat in the future. I see they have a few locations and I hope they will consider building one in the San Fernando Valley in the near future. read more

I came here once last year, and I liked the place, but after returning after a few months, I noticed a difference in the customer service. The ambiance is great like always. We met a very personable, Hector-Who is the manager of this location. He was very welcoming. Quick story - I ordered Green eggs, and when they arrived I felt that they needed a little salt. So I made my way to the counter where the salt and pepper are. It was clearly dumb proof because I opened it and all the salt landed on my food . Very embarrassed. Cute little spot in BH in what was previously occupied by Chin Chin for years. As you walk in, you order at the register and then seat yourself. The food was delivered quite quickly and the service was courteous and efficient. I really liked the uniqueness of the Eggs, Benedict. Very flavorful and tasty. Makes me want to return for it! My daughter also enjoyed her sushi roll. I agree as I also took a bite of it! The Red Chilaquiles was a little too spicy for me, but if you like spicy, then you might like it! Gorgeous interior. Like just beautiful cafe. The food is incredibly healthy and just makes you feel like are being good to your body. The smoothies are great. I had the butternut squash soup. It was a little too sweet, but the tomato bisque was yummy. The bread is fresh and healthy. My son loved his egg dish. My friend's waffle looked absolutely decadent. I'm back for my second day in a row and I love Aldo. He's so sweet like all the desserts here. Come in after 6 PM and you can get a two for one on all the pastries and they are mostly gluten-free. :). It's a great place to work because they have free Wi-Fi. read more

Very cute spot in Beverly Hills (tho it is an LA chain.) lots of indoor and outdoor seating, can park out front for a fee or do 1-hr street parking in the neighborhood right behind it for free. Got the vegan, GF lemon blueberry scone for $6 before tax/tip. It was pretty good! Esp for begging vegan and gluten free. Not overly lemon-y. I think I'd get a different pastry next time. Really appreciate that there are multiple vegan and gluten free (and even some of both) options. Oat and almond milk. Would come back! read more

The drink was so well balanced and the mint was super fresh and not overly sweet. They gave me a free cookie to try given that I'm gluten free and many of their desserts are GF. This is such a great atmosphere. People watching and atmosphere are the most important to me. The interior is bright and colorful, with a lot from outside. We were shopping in the area and needed some brunch / lunch and Parakeet Cafe looked fun. Patio options and inside casual dining were available. You order at the front counter and then they bring the plates to your table. I was hoping for French Toast but it was not to be found on the menu unfortunately. I opted for the "Best Burger Ever". While it was good, I wouldn't go so far as calling it best. Also the description said "smash burger" but it is really just a quarter pound style burger with no lettuce and tomato. Smash burgers traditionally are thinner patties (smashed) and have a crispy edge with melty cheese all over - IMO and from my foodie experience. Would be a pass next time. I had a taste of the Eggs Benedict which was awesome. The sauce on top was simply delicious. The croissants were also very delicious and fresh. Which is expected from a bakery. They also have cold brew on tap. A good spot for quick comfort brunch. read more

Worst Manager I have ever encountered. I'm still shaking. I even see other reviews written about him. The fact you guys still employ him speaks volumes of your establishment. I come here in the week to do some work and get lunch since it's right by my house. I have spent THOUSANDS. Today, the manager yelled at me and told me to a different table while I was working on my laptop with my computer. Then he verbatim said to me to me, straight in the eyes, "I'm more than happy to turn off the WiFi so you leave". Mind you, I am sitting down silently. Minding my own business. Then he continued to give me dirty looks, say more things, and be extremely rude. I honestly felt threatened and terrified. I've never had that experience in my life and have been treated that way in a business. I came here for my latte and lunch. I was sitting in a four top waiting for my friends to get here. He said I need to move to a two top which would be fine if it was only me, but I explained him that my friends are coming and I recommended they try this place, he ignored me, then he threatened to kick me out while I'm waiting for my lunch. I'm still shaking terrified. You do not treat customers this way and employ people like this in the customer service business. Shame on guys as an establishment, I've came here for over a year, spent thousands of dollars. He even had the nerve to say to me as I told him I come here often I have never been treated this way, his responded was "well I've never seen you". Mind you, the front lady knows me, the chefs, the man who busses the table. They all say bye to me when I leave. I've never even seen this man before until today. Shame on you for hiring someone so rude. I would never hire anyone like this for a place of business. Disgusting and vile. I will be telling everyone that goes there that I know. We visited Parakeet while in Los Angeles from the Bay Area with my two daughters--and ended up going back twice because we loved it so much. Both visits, we were lucky to be helped by Alex behind the counter. He was truly exceptional. So warm, patient, and genuinely kind--not just to me, but especially to my girls. The second time we came in, he remembered them, which made them feel so special. He guided us through the menu, helped us pick out the best options, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The food speaks for itself (fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done), but it was Alex's service that made the experience stand out. It's rare to find someone who brings that level of care and attention--it completely elevated our visits. We even took some treats to go and are still enjoying them! I really love this restaurant but they leave something off of my order every single time. I get the smoked salmon plate as of recently. Last week I ordered greens instead of toast and they gave me only greens and eggs. No salmon, no labneh, no dressing, a few eggs, no asparagus. They've left off the sauces a few times, and today I swapped for gf toast and no avocado and only got salmon and egg with nothing else. Food is good but control issues are super annoying. read more

I didn't get there names but I was helped first by a younger maybe middle eastern guy who was super nice and helpful when I had questions. Later, a young asian girl stopped by my table a couple times to ask if I needed anything and to take my plates. She was so sweet! I ordered the chai and a snickerdoodle cookie. The chai had decent flavor but I'm not sure if they made it wrong as I asked for it to be made with milk and it tasted nothing but water. It was so light and almost bland, the chai spices would barely come in after drinking it and it lingered in my throat. The cookie was a bit dense and dry, other than the cinnamon topping I didn't get much flavor in the cookie itself, it just tasted like a "plain dough" cookie. read more
