11.10. Basmati Rice 10.1. Naan Chicken Tikka Masala

I am updating my review on 1/28/23 8.5/10 This place has become a go to for me. I have gotten the chicken sheek kabob and it's so good but make sure you get the onion chutney with it. You must get the chicken tikka. Some of the best I've had in all my adventures. I've been getting the paneer karahi and it's also very good. Can't really go wrong with the food here! Must try!!

Decent Indian food. Not the best I've had, but still rather good. It was empty when we arrived but started to get busier after our order was placed. Lots of take out and to-go orders were fulfilled while the dining room started to bustle. The main issue was lack of staff. Think there was one person in the kitchen and there was only one fine young gentleman handling the entire front. We had to wait for quite a while to get our check...but the food was served fairly fast since we were there before the rush. We ordered naan, raita, mango chutney, channa masala and chicken tikka masala. Mango chutney usually has a kick to it...this version was just sweet. Naan was fine and the rice that accompanied the main courses was good. Main entrees were (as mentioned) decent; didn't make me want to over engorge like I normally do with kick-butt Indian fare. That said, I'd go back to try the buffet and other dishes sometime.

Chili Chicken at Chatpata Indian Restaurant... a must if it's on the buffet.

Above-average North Indian buffet with a la carte ordering as well. There's a generous selection of about a dozen tureens that seems to change frequently, judging from the extra labels they leave on top of the sneeze guards. Quite a range of vegetarian choices as well as meat dishes. They have goat curry on Friday, Saturday and Sunday: meat chunks in a mildly spicy broth. Tandoori chicken was tough and without the charred onions I like on the side. My favorite dish was something called "Chili Chicken", like an Indian version of sweet & sour. Unusually wide choice of condiments (chutneys and raita). The buffet is $9.95 at lunch, $11.95 at dinner and includes naan, tea and rice pudding. This is a high 3 stars and would probably hit 4 stars except for service issues: used plates were not picked up and water glasses were not refilled. But I was there quite late in the lunch hour and the server may have been on his/her break.

Chicken Tikka Masala & 10.7. Garlic Naan, delicious

Ordered through Doodash and food was amazing! Highly recommend and definitely would ordered again.

Green salad. I'm not sure if this looks like a salad that restaurants are supposed to be serving. Lettuce are red and tomatoes are mushy :(

We frequented this place over the past two weeks while taking care of a family member in their final stages of life. Pita and Olive became our family's go-to spot for comfort food. We all ordered various plates from kebabs, falafal, beef and lamb pitas, chicken bowl, and sides of their delicious rice. While running errands a few days ago I actually stopped in JUST to pick up a side of rice and a small cup of their creamy dill sauce (which tastes amazing on everything). Fresh ingredients that are seasoned beautifully and plates that are crafted to satisfy and bring happiness to your tummy and your heart. I want to thank Pita and Olive for providing us with nourishment during some pretty chaotic and sad times.

The addition of the coffee bar/cafe menu has only further endeared me to the place. Just like their food, many of the components of the coffee menu are scratch made, including the milks. They make a pistachio, almond, and oat milk all in house. There may be more too, but those three I know for certain. The attention to detail is also impressive, such as the presentation of each beverage. The cups the drinks are served in aren't just pretty, but also sturdy. Which as a clumsy person, I appreciate. Harder for me to spill. Ha! Something to keep in mind about the cafe menu is that since everything is mainly scratch made or ordered special (their Matcha is from Japan) they will be out of things at times. But there's nothing bad on the menu so I humbly suggest going in with an open mind. The lack of one item being available has caused me to try others, and I haven't disliked anything! I hope they continue to do well and are in the area for a long time to come.

I enjoyed my usual small bowl of Shrimp and Pork Wonton Soup ($8.00) with tender dumplings, egg noodles, scallions, cilantro, and crispy shallots in a flavorful broth. Best ever. Upon my recommendation, we both ordered the Shaking Beef, or Bò Lúc Lắc, ($25.) which is a delicious Vietnamese dish of marbled cubes of beef tossed in all the good stuff: soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, a little sugar, butter, garlic, and black pepper. Everything is shaken around in the wok to get a nice all-around sear, hence the name...Shaking Beef! We enjoyed it with Brown Rice instead of Jasmine. Kudos: The cubed filet mignon was cooked perfectly; it was tender and pink in middle. Outstanding! Two reactions: --I did not like the lime dipping sauce because it was very salty (grains of Sea Salt intact)served in a small dish that was on the plate, so next time I will order another type of sauce. However, the beef was flavorful without it. --There were too many sliced red onions and not enough spring onions. Our two orders to go (Pho with Filet and Chicken Wings) were ready when we finished lunch. Grandsons were delighted! Service was efficient and courteous as usual.

This was one of the first asian/Indian stores opened in the Saratoga County by the Sihal family who owned another grocery store and a restaurant location in Albany county. The management has recently changed. You do get to buy stuff that you wouldn't find at Walmart or a local grocery store that are used in a South Asian household. My family goes there every Thursday as they get fresh vegetables and meat. The vegetables are purchased in NYC and brought here. You get the green chilis that are spicier than the one in your local store....I addition you get to buy tropical fruits jack fruits, green pumpkin, lychee and guava. They actually seem to have a wider selection of dry goods than Parivar on Central, including some Lebanese brands as well as Swaad and the other Indian standbys. And, a summer-long search for fresh okra, I found two different varieties; the proprietor explained that one is supposed to be less slimy than the other. The way you buy your meat here is to place an order through a window, which doesn't appeal to me because I like to see it first. Meat prices are also a bit high. But for other South Asian items this is going to be my go-to.
