This place had very delicious food and good customer service! We had a great time. The environment was great as well.

Don't miss out on this small Halal take-out joint if you are in the Albany area. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice and modern, and the customer service is 100%. I came here for dessert, ordering the Rasmalai (cheese balls in saffron-flavored condensed milk). The server went in the back and prepared it fresh. The five minute wait was worth it. It was so delicious. I am new to Halal cuisine. Zaffron Kitchen is definitely the place to go if you want to experiment. I highly recommend.

Tried this new Mediterranean/Afghan restaurant for the first time tonight. We ordered takeout. Two got bowls. One the Chicken Kebab Bowl and one the Ground Chicken Bowl. Both came with mixed veggies (corn, onion, cucumber, tomatoes, chickpeas), hummus or baba ghanoush, and a choice of seasoned brown basmati rice or white saffron rice and white sauce. Both of our diners chose the well seasoned hummus. One had the basmati rice and one the white saffron rice. The meats were tender, tasty and decent sized portions. I ordered the Chicken Gyro over rice. It was a large portion that was customizable. I included onions, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, chickpeas, black beans, hummus, zafire sauce and white sauce. The meat tasted and had the texture of dark meat which I enjoy but some might not. The spices were good and I think I tasted some mint. The prices are comparable with similar places in the area. It's good to have another reliable option in the Latham area.

Food was good. Portions size are big, price is just like any other New York restaurant. I liked that they gave me a bunch of humus and chopped salad. Ambience was quiet. It's really new and there were less people around for lunch. I do think they can do bit better with beef chopped, it seems like they used a beef patty and cut it up and put on top of my rice. I wished it was more like shawarma or steak type shredded beef chunks. For $$ yes I would like something next level. That's the only comment I have.

First time here. Food was great and owner/staff is very friendly. Will definitely be back.

Chicken and Rice NYC Style

Unbelievably good Mediterranean food. I'm in NYC all the time for work and frequently get chicken and rice. Zaffron Kitchen's version of hallal cart food is as good as and better than NYC street carts. My daughter got a chicken wrap and we shared grape leaves.

Best food in the area!!!!

Delicious and mouth watering. Good service and atmosphere. I had a lamb dish and the meat was tender and savory. Would definitely go back.

The food was amazing. The falafel was so fresh and I had never kadoo, so that was an interesting treat!

We all ordered grilled chicken BYO wraps, and they were so good that even my picky son wanted a second one. The toppings were fresh with a great variety. The white sauce was delicious, and the hot sauce wasn't too spicy--something everyone can enjoy. The place is much bigger inside than it looks and feels very clean and spacious. There used to be a pizza place here that didn't feel very clean, but now it's completely different--you can tell a lot of effort went into the renovation. Overall, it's a place we can comfortably enjoy as a family. They've been open about 7 months, and I hope they continue to get the support they deserve.

Food is ready quickly, though grilled items will take a few minutes more. For my first visit here, I ordered the Chicken Doner sub. The meat is prepared Turkish-shawarma style and served on a lightly toasted sub roll (roughly an 8" roll). I requested all the extras, which included the white yogurt sauce, a little of the spicy red sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and I believe cucumbers. It had great aroma and taste. The gentleman behind the counter (the owner maybe?) was very friendly and helpful with regard to ordering and preparing my sub. There's lots of tables inside of various sizes and heights, and plenty of parking outside. The worst part is waiting in anticipation in my car for those darn traffic lights on Route 9 and Old Loudon Rd. to turn green so I can get there!

Let me just start by saying that Authentic Pakistani food is greasy, they do have oily puddle in their curry. That oily puddle deep or shallow is called "Taaree". If you ever visit Lahore, you gotta go to the andoronay Lahore, old Lahore basically and every small restaurant you will go to has some oily greasy side to it. All you gotta do it, pour it out or use paper towel to soak oil out of your dish. That's all. Pakistani/Indian dishes are not the healthiest kind but of course you can make any Desi (Pakistani/Indian/ Bangla) dish healthy if you make it at home, with very little or no oil. Or use coconut OR any other oil substitute. Ordering a take out is a treat for most of the population, so unless you are going to just settle with little bit oily dish then what's the point. Just grab a paper towel and get rid of the excess oil and still enjoy the Authentic Pakistani dish. I am just a customer at Spice and Beyond and I understand that they might not be perfect but they are doing a pretty good job of bringing part of Pakistan to New York. Have a wonderful day.

Joe and his team have developed a great concept that allows you to have fresh, delicious Italian ingredients in a casual, take home meal. The same quality and flavor they serve at their sit down venues comes out in their bowl at Bellinis Counter. Having an Italian mother and large family cook, I am fussy about the quality of Italian food. The vodka sauce is amazing however their marinara creme sauce is full of flavor and one of the best sauces i have eaten! When considering a quick take-out meal, pass on the pizza, gas by the golden arches and make it Bellinis Counter, you will not be disappointed.

Why do we keep patronizing them despite the many negative reviews? In my case I was ordering with someone that wanted to give them a try. I should have told them how awful Bellini's is but I didn't want to deter them from getting what they wanted. They are now believers after we got our terrible order. I like really good Italian, and even bad Italian. Bellini's has increasingly gone down hill to now being inedible. Their meatballs used to be just ok. Tonight, the meatballs were far from ok. They seemed to be made strictly of bread and the texture was off putting. The weak vodka sauce and chewy pasta didn't help the meatball situation. One bite of a meatball and the pasta was enough to throw the entire large bowl in the trash. I won't be ever going here again and would suggest you try ANYwhere instead of Bellini's counter in Latham.
