Koshari is kind of an elevated garbage plate, lots of good things mixed together, heavy on the carbs with a spicy tomato sauce, a meal by itself. The sampler plate delivers a huge amount of food for currently $12. Everything has a little something extra that makes it special; the falafel is flavored with onion and herbs and is perfectly fried to a crisp shell with a moist interior; the stuff grape leaves are steamed before serving and have some minty accents; even the pitas get brushed with oil and spices, toasted and cut into bite size pieces before they are tucked away in the container. There is a lunch room for the office workers across the hall if you care to eat in while the food is piping hot, but it nicely survived my drive back to Saratoga. Be aware that they will add a 3 percent credit card surcharge on top of the total (including tax and tip) and they really should post signage at the register about the surcharge.
