Have always loved Charley's but today was a huge disappointment. Asked for extra onion on my California Chicken and found none on my sandwich. Also asked for extra extra extra crispy fries. Had 4 decent ones and the rest of them were very soft. When i spoke to the manager about it she said she was on fries and she cooked them an extra minute so they should have been crispy. No apologies, no can we replace them, nothing. I even said I've had this same order for months and its always been perfect in the past so i know this was not the normal service for them and she said "ok". Not sure what to say or think because the staff is generally on point. I did notice while talking to the manager the cashier didnt put down either special request on the receipt. The food here is always great and I have experienced amazing customer service skills from almost every single employee. Chandler is always going above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. You can tell he cares about his job. I cannot tell you the same for the employee Jake who seemed very rushed taking my order and perhaps a little rude and impatient with me. His attitude definitely makes me think twice about going to Charleys. So I will give this rating 3 stars because all of the other employees are excellent at multitasking and having friendly attitudes doing so. I came here to have a late lunch with my brother. We order the number 7 large size with a lemonade, and it was excellent. The only thing I didn't like were the French fries were too salty for me, however that is something that can be fix next time by asking the associates to do leas salt. I love going to Charles especially during my lunch break. They have great food and nice people. The Chicken Philly is the best with a side of fries. They have amazing strawberry lemonade. I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone that loves freshly made sandwiches. read more

I saw Charley's Grilled Subs one day walking through the mall, and their sandwiches looked amazing in their photos and on their menu. A few week's later I came back to the mall just to give Charley's a try. I had their Philly Cheese Stake. It was pretty good, having great flavors, but it was on the dry side. The cheese and some malt vinegar helped. Moreover, I did feel the sandwich was a little heavy on the bread, it needed more meat. It seems like just about every sandwich shop out there cuts their costs by cutting the protein and filling up their customers on bread. In my opinion, if you are going to charge $8.00 for a sandwich, please don't cut the meat portion. I am curious to see if the mall environment has had a negative affect on Charley's. If I ever see another location, outside of the mall, I will give them a try. As for this location, I will stay way as it isn't worth it to deal with the mall traffic/parking for just an average sandwich. read more

Their food gave me food poisoning. The workers were very nice and professional, but they must have undercooked the chicken sandwich. I called back the day after getting the food poisoning and they were nice enough to give a refund (not even the full amount which but better than nothing) to my fiancé because i was and am still too sick to be up and about. The food's alright, but you really don't want to risk the food poisoning or at least ask them to make sure to cook the meat a bit longer. read more

This restaurant is in my mall and they always give out the chicken California sub as samples so I decided to order a chicken California sub, however, the bread was extremely dry. The chicken was a bit dry as well but the mayo was good. The fries were okay as well. read more

I enjoy them but the sandwiches are a bit on the skimpy side. Comparing them to true Philly sandwiches though should be a crime. Trust me; Charlie's do not even compare. Has improved a ton since Charley's took over from Great Steak. The food hasn't changed a lot, but the changes that have been made are for the better. I eat here when I'm at the mall, maybe every 3-4 months. Their steak has improved and is more flavorful, the place looks all around cleaner and more efficiently run. Best part? Praise the Lard, the ultra-creepy manager (owner?) guy from Great Steak is finally gone! Their fries are great, and if you're not an East-coast transplant, take a hint and try them with VINEGAR! You'll never go back to ketchup if you do! Philly steak sandwich, not authentic by any means, but it's good, you don't wonder what the meat is, it's cooked right in front of you, and it's hot. This restaurant is great my family loves it and this is why... This is a great family atmosphere and also had a kids meal, this gave a welcoming atmosphere where you feel like you could have what you wanted and not worry about not getting your food, my go-to Charley is in one of my other favorite places southwest plaza mall, altho the whole mall is a more relaxed place with layback people the Charley here is taken care of and you can see the kitchen and tell that they keep everything sanitized and cooked through. You can smell everything and see it as if you are getting a home-cooked meal, their prices are just great and work around anyone's budget and also for small thing like their cheese and bacon fries ($2.99) and there is also something every taste the cheese and bacon fries are warm and the cheese is stretchy and the bacon is cut into just the right size bites but lets talk about their other food. Charleys also have ultimate fries (bacon two kinds of cheese and ranch at $2.99)as another one of their fries choices the prices are great because you can get more food for the same price there is also just simple original fries ($1.99)but don't lower your expectations because there is no delicious topping these are just as great, the warmness of the fries as they went in your mouth made you feel nice and it tastes like real potatoes and they are not hit or miss with how much salt and how floppy your fries are unlike McDonalds,their fries are always soggy unless you get a batch that was the first batch so they where not in a rush or one that "was in to long" they also mess up peoples orders all the time unlike charleys,they always gets your order right and if you get a sandwich one day and then get the same one the next day you will not taste a different maybe you will have a drop more mayo but other than that it is the same. Not only the appetizers are great but so is their large variety of sandwiches and drinks, their classic just Philly cheesesteak(steak, grilled onions, green peppers, mushrooms and white American cheese for $8.39 for a regular size)is great even the simpleness of the classic and what their name is has a great, better then most taste. There is plenty of different foods out there and this restaurant may focus on more chill like you and your friend just got done shopping or skating and you are hungry so you go there for some fast good food altho you could do the same this with taco bell Charley is different because their bread is not soggy from oil unlike taco bells taco shells they are wobbly and barely hold your food. Charley is a great place where the workers welcome you and talk to you like they are an old friend they have not seen for a long time and you just want to smile their food is always enough to fill you and make you not hungry. I've never had a problem in the past with this order but for some reason they just couldn't get it right. It's not a hard order, i just get a philly cheese streak with only meat and cheese. My mom and I ordered an ultimate fries, 2 chicken Cali's and wanted to make one of them a combo. However, the cashier automatically added the ultimate fries to our combo, even though we wanted the ultimate fries separate, and wanted regular fries included in our combo. I didn't realize it until after we ordered and had our food made, so we went back to have the cashier try and fix it. They made a mistake on their end, and we still somehow ended up paying extra for the fries that we originally wanted included in our combo? I don't understand why we had to pay extra for something that THEY made a mistake on, but whatever. And I've been here before, so I know that at the end, they ask you what other extra topping you would like on your sandwich. The other lady that was making our sandwiches just bagged our up as soon as it was done, and didn't ask what toppings I would like on my sandwich.
