We shared hush puppies, a fresh and flavorful salad, and a variety of oysters--everything was delicious. We'll definitely stop by again next time we're in Omaha!

Plank has, unfortunately, announced they will be closing at the end of 2025, and while I did enjoy…read moresome of their food offerings, I can't say I'm super surprised. They definitely have/had some pretty high prices compared to other eateries in the area. I'm not sure if that is caused by cost of goods or location or what, but I think that did come into play when a lot of economic hardship is happening all over. Like I mentioned above, I DID like their food, but it definitely had to be a special occasion type of thing, due to the high prices. When we did go, I LOVED the Maryland Crab Dip. It reminded me of my favorite crab dip in the world, at the SweetWater Brewing Company in Atlanta. We also had the Green Bean Almandine that was on special last time we went and that was pretty good, but you have to be a green bean fan, for sure. I decided to try the sushi as my main dish last time, and had the Everything Crunch Maki, which consisted of cooked salmon, jalapeño, and cream cheese. It was pretty good, and had a little hint of spice to it from the jalapeño, which cut the heavy cream aspect. My husband had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon for his entree, and gave me a few bites. It was cooked well and the mushroom risotto below it was very flavorful and filling. The cute nautical ambiance and excellent service were always appreciated, so no complaints there either. I think if they had been in a different area with less expensive rent and cost of goods, I may have visited more often.

Even though it may look like you made it yourself at home, the flavor was IMMACULATE! The jam pulls the sourdough and cheeses together perfectly! I want 6 more!

Really good and no regrets devouring these. They were so good that we want to try to recreate these at home--but that's going to be extremely difficult. The Croque Garson burger was really big and really messy (as expected). But I think the cook was having a bad day honestly. We asked for both burgers to be medium-rare because I didn't want it to be well done. I just wanted it under-done (I'm not that picky--any amount of pink or red would have been great with me). First, let me point out the good -- the egg was PERFECTLY cooked. The ham was delicious. The mustard and aioli were plentiful! The buns were fresh and toasted. But the beef? This is where the bad gets pointed out -- it was so overdone that I couldn't eat it. It had a nice crust on either side. But the inside was just about as dark. It's just a shame because this was some high quality beef. I took a doggy bag home so my pooches could have a nice snack. I ended up eating the egg and ham with the top half of the bun and all the messy mustard mayo goodness. But it was not a satisfying burger experience. Sad face.

One of the things I appreciate most is that the menu has barely changed over the years, and that's a very good thing. They've perfected what they do instead of chasing trends. Even their basic steak is better than what you'll find at many of Omaha's steakhouses, and the rest of the menu is consistently outstanding. After the devastating fire in 2015, I wasn't sure what to expect when they reopened. Thankfully, the restoration was incredibly faithful to the original while somehow making the space feel even better than before. It still has the warm, timeless atmosphere that makes it such a special place with fun staff. Whether you're a local or visiting Omaha for the first time, M's Pub is a restaurant I recommend without hesitation. It's a true Omaha institution that continues to deliver exceptional food and an experience that's stood the test of time.

Friendly service, comfy setting, and oh yeah - the food! Unfortunately for me, there is too much seafood on the menu but there's always something. People rave about the seafood dishes so I'll trust them and say it must be good. I'm just not into it. On this visit, we each ordered a cocktail. I decided to try the lemon martini which I never order and OH MY GOODNESS. It was awesome! They nailed it. The limoncello brought it home. My dining partner had a dirty martini and was satisfied as well. We enjoyed a Spezia salad which featured mixed greens, prosciutto, tomato, Kalamata olives, and a house vinaigrette. It all combined so well. The lettuce was wonderfully fresh, no need to pick out rotting leaves like some places. The dressing was simply light and delish. We shared a plate of spaghetti. You get several options to add to it. The grilled spicy Italian sausage sounded good. I'm not sure which was better. The sausage or the marinara sauce. Both were soooooo good!! The sausage was truly grilled and spicy and just amazing, and it was not greasy either. The marinara sauce challenged my own that I make at home. We devoured that plate of spaghetti which was big enough to share. I forgot to take a picture as it was served so I am sharing a tight shot of half the order after we divided it.

Spezia, you let me down!…read more Our waiter struggled to keep up with the dinner rush. We arrived for our reservation and were seated at 6:40 where we weren't greeted by our waiter for quite awhile. It took a long time to get our drinks and I had to ask for bread so we decided to skip appetizers and go straight to our entree. When ordering the entree our waiter said "and which salad would you like?" And then listed the salad options. Normally when ordering a main and the waiter says which salad do you want that's because the salad comes with the meal. Nope. We were charged $11 per salad that we didn't even really want. The salads were your average side salad, but thankfully had good dressings. We hadn't brought up salads, the waiter did when we ordered our entree. So we were disappointed to have $20+ in salads that we didn't request until the waiter offered them. Our salads were finished for at least 15 minutes before our main entree came out at about 7:30, nearly an hour after we had been seated. My shrimp scampi was good, the broccolini was a touch under cooked but the flavors were still good, and the shrimp was surprisingly large in size and cooked exactly how it should be. Had we been served quicker and not offered things that didn't come with our meal when ordering our meal we may have been happier, hard to say. The table next to us was sat about 10 minute after us and had a different waitress. They received their entire meal (including bread & apps) and left before we were offered dessert. The food is good, I won't discredit that at all. But when coming to a restaurant like this you are expecting a level of service that we just didn't get. I'm sure we'll try again in the future and if service is better I will definitely update my review but for now, this was a let down of a birthday dinner.

It was served with some smokey beans and a crock of Mac and cheese. I ordered the Timber Mac. Mac with 5 different cheeses, chicken and smoked pork belly burnt ends. This easily was one of the best dishes I have ever been served. No joke you should order this. We rounded it of with two wood fired pizzas a Italian sausage with the sauce on the side and a Lobster topped white pizza. Both impressive! We had such a great time here. The service, Eve was beyond excellent. The manager also visited and made some menu recommendations ( which we followed). The wood fired open kitchen and the racks of split oak wood throughout left you knowing something special was happening to your meal. This was a business dinner with colleagues. We started at the bar and the bartender was great. Seating is comfy and the décor is very nice. They offer all the top shelf spirits you might want that area mainstream. The bartender was able to do anything you want with them. The food offered there is the full menu, so we started with some onion rings to nosh on while drinking. Those onion rings were very interesting, with a thicker dough-style breading, they were very good. Next was to sit down for dinner and I apologize for forgetting our server's name, but he's been there about 15 years and he was great! Perfect amount of attention to our party, great pace, great suggestions too. The menu was tough, as there were several options, so I asked him to choose for me - he did a nice job. Wine service was great... Food was excellent! It's been a minute since having a nice prime rib, so that's what I went with and this was one of the best ever... it melted in my mouth! Their bacon appetizer was unbelievably good! Smokey, tender, and so much flavor... WOW! We definitely enjoyed our dinner here. This isn't a huge chain, I think there are 6 or so locations and one just happens to be in Tysons Corner, so I'll be going there soon!

Wine list offers great selection of options VIP treatment for a special occasion. Where it fell apart were several food items. What was delicious: hash browns (outstanding), green beans, creamed corn, sourdough bread, What was subpar: Beef tartare--probably one of the worst I've ever eaten. Took one bite, it was stringy. Hoped I didn't get sick. Unpleasant texture. Not mixed tableside, we mixed the raw egg into the dish ourselves. Three steaks were severely undercooked. My steak (bone in filet special) was MR, I asked for MW. It tasted as if it was marinated low quality beef, chewy, difficult to cut, (yes, this filet was not easy to cut with a quality steak knife), odd texture. colleagues steak was basically raw (appeared bloody red)--he'd requested MR, sent it back to kitchen twice! Another colleagues steak was very Rare. Steaks were really disappointing as was the preparation. Our party of five was surprised when the steak was returned still undercooked. Considering the quality of my bone in filet steak and the undercooked steaks, I won't return to this location. There's a kitchen issue that needs to be resolved and the manager when that steak was recooked for second time should have observed it was still very rare when he delivered it because our table of five all did. Less than stellar experience due to the subpar beef tartare and steaks.

I'm not sure anyone had an amazing bite but the menu was large so there is still potential! I will say the one thing that stood out the most to me was the flavor. If the menu item said chipotle, Parmesan, honey, etc then that flavor was there and you could not get away from it! I had Parmesan in my potatoes and salad and it was overpowering. And my friend got the chipotle potatoes au gratin and said he could barely get the potato flavor. We all had the three course meal and most of us got the steak. We all ordered at different temperatures including medium well and they all came out rare or just uneven. It was good flavor and it wasn't too chewy so we all just ate it with no complaints! Along with the three course meal was a mini dessert so we all tried each and they all fell flat. We did get them to-go so maybe that had something to do with it but even a simple brownie wasn't anything great. Overall I want to chalk it up to wrong ordering and hope to come back and try other menu items and some suggestions!

Our server was helpful and checked on us throughout dinner to make sure we had everything we needed. I also really liked that every meal includes the salad bar. For dinner, I had the prime rib since I had heard it was one of their specialties, and I'm glad I did! It was delicious and such a filling meal that I had plenty left to take home. My boyfriend ordered a steak, which was also good, but between the two, the prime rib was definitely the winner.
