Always on point! Service is great and food is amazing! They accommodate you in all aspects

We were excited to head to Charleston's, walking from our hotel in Bricktown. The Google map has directions that are a little challenging to follow directly to their door, but we got there eventually - it's across the street from the baseball stadium, but the closest landmark is the movie theater. If you visit, you'll probably head there by car, and they do have a very large parking lot in the back. When we arrived, everyone was friendly, I do recommend making a reservation online since the restaurant did become quite busy as the night progressed. We chose to sit inside, though they do have a large patio as well overlooking the canal. Our server, Mason was wonderful - he brought us beverages and offered some entree recommendations. I had the fried catfish with coleslaw and substituted asparagus - it was one of the better meals I had while we were traveling in Bricktown. It's not one of those crazy complicated dishes, but I was just looking for some basic seafood that night. The star of the meal was the bread pudding for dessert, not something I usually order, but a recommendation from Mason. He was 100% on the money with that recommendation. Pricing was quite reasonable averaging less than $40 All In, including drinks, tip, tax and dessert. An absolutely terrific value, and I would certainly revisit this restaurant when traveling through the area again. read more

Love the atmosphere, restaurant is beautiful. Visited Friday evening about 6:30 pm. They were not busy at the bar. Bartender was not happing having to explain the parking fee/receipt situation. Spinach artichoke dip is good. Nothing special Dynamite Shrimp is amazing. Ordered a flatbread but after 30 minutes I had to ask where it was. Bartender THEN let me know that was one of their longer appetizers items. Took it off the menu. The hostess station gets the A+ the girls were so nice and helpful with the parking situation. We were staying at a hotel in the Bricktown area and decided to try this place for dinner. I am so glad we did because everything about it was outstanding. From the moment we walked up to the door, every staff member was fantastic and happy to be there. The ambiance is very nice with the dim lighting and dark wood furniture. The menu offers about six appetizers, six salads, six handhelds, six chicken dishes and six entrees. I decided to go with the shrimp scampi and it was absolutely delicious. My husband had the catfish platter and also loved his meal. Our server, Mason, suggested the bread pudding for dessert and it was one of the best desserts I have had in a while. I was out exploring Bricktown and looking for a happy hour. I found this place on Yelp, and saw they had a French 75 on the menu. That will get me in the door. It was dark and cool, a real contrast from the blazing July sun, and I sat at the bar. I was unfamiliar with this chain, though apparently there is one here in Ft. Worth. I just popped in for a drink so I can not comment on the food, but the drink was good. One thing to know, Oklahoma has a 13.5% sales tax on alcohol and Charleston's suggested tip totals are on the taxed amount, not the total of actual goods and services. Sneaky sneaky. read more

Charleston's is like an expensive Applebees. They have a full bar and quiet seating areas. This location is in Bricktown, and central to plenty of cool stuff. Our server, Mason was phenomenal! He was always nearby, helped with the menu, and was very pleasant! Honestly, he is the reason they didn't score lower. The food was just OK. Absolutely amazing service, ambiance, and food. Husband asked for military discount. You offer one! Awesome! Thank you! Then the discount was only taken off of his entree. I'm a veteran too. I bet if it was a table full of men, you would have asked who all was a veteran. Most places do the whole table. I'm curious, if it's just going to be the service members you give the discount to, why don't you ask who all applies? Best clam chowder, maybe the best mashed potatoes, but disappointing to be accidentally insulted. I have really wrestled with whether or not to post this, but I feel like it's important to share my experience. For the last four years, every first Saturday in October, my daughter has celebrated her birthday with dinner at the downtown location. We have always brought a large group--usually 20-30 people--and we have never had an issue until this year. Our reservation was for 7:30 PM, but we joined the waitlist at 6:45 PM and were told it would be about a 1 1/2-hour wait. We were completely fine with that and understood that a large group takes time to seat. I knew the Deer Creek High School students had been there before us because my nephew was with them. There were approximately 40-50 students, and I completely understood that they needed to be taken care of as well. After the students left, one of the managers told me around 8:05 PM that we would be seated shortly and that he was "figuring something out." Again, we were patient. At 9:05 some of the adults went to the bar to grab drinks, I walked through the restaurant to see if there was somewhere we could be seated. I noticed both managers sitting at a table talking, so I approached them and asked about the room in the back. I was told that the room had not been cleaned. Unfortunately, that was not what I observed. I had actually taken pictures showing that the room was clean, while staff were sitting around rolling silverware and watching TV. At approximately 9:26 PM, we were finally allowed to sit down and order our food. At that point, we had very little time left before closing at 10 PM. There was no time to properly sing "Happy Birthday," cut my daughter's cake, or celebrate her the way we had planned. Her gifts ultimately had to be taken back to the car because of the closing time. What disappointed me the most was the attitude of management. They were very short with us and, at times, came across as rude. It honestly felt like they did not want to deal with our group and were hoping we would eventually leave without ordering. As a customer who has brought my daughter here for her birthday for four consecutive years, that was extremely disappointing. I will say that the two servers we had were AMAZING. They were kind, helpful, and did everything they could under the circumstances. The food itself was okay. Unfortunately, because of the way the situation was handled by management, I have to leave a one-star review for what has been my daughter's favorite restaurant for years. I'm not posting this to be disrespectful or to cause problems. I'm posting it because loyal customers deserve to be treated with the same respect and consideration as anyone else. We were patient, understanding, and willing to wait. All we wanted was the opportunity to celebrate my daughter's birthday and enjoy a meal together. read more

The patio was gorgeous right next to the canal but the fans were not working . I had a French dip that was delicious and my friend had the shrimp salad .Our server was so sweet and checked on us very attentive. Ordered a French Dip online and when it arrived the zipper seal of th bag was way over done, cut myself twice from the over use of staples. The food looked really good but this was not prime rib. Zero seasoning and really bland beef. Zero mayo and would have like the option of concourse radish. Meal lack led any salt and pepper and utensils. I wi say the fries were surprisingly tasty. And so is the ketchup. So I just spent $30 on really good french fries and ketchup sandwich below par. You need to skip this look at something else or someplace else. The service is wonderful, the staff checks in on you every 7-12 minutes and they do a wonderful job to not come off as pestering. I had the legacy chicken which is 4 pieces or half a chicken mash taters with a delicious gravy. Subbed the veg for bourbon mushroom. The price is pushing it at $23. I almost didn't get it. The queso was delicious, freshly made chips & salsa but it's sausage velveeta queso with maybe some fresh shred in it. It seems they may have mixed in some white cheddar with it. Totally not worth $11 for the small amount of queso and 4oz cup of salsa. They could definitely do better with this one. My Mom had the chicken piccata which had a small breast of chicken but she loved the Flavors and all as it's one of her favorites. Definitely stretching it at $18 for this dish. The food was good. The potato soup was excellent. Nice location near the Bricktown canal. However, our group of 5 people was seated in the back large group dining room. There was a very boisterous group of more than 20 people who made it impossible for us to hear each other speak. There were other smaller groups in this room who had the same issue. There was space in the regular part of the restaurant but the staff did not give us any creative alternatives such as moving to another table. Since I was a guest I did not make it an issue but I would have if I had been there in other circumstances. This room should not be used for multiple groups.
