This was our first trip in tonight. it's a small, cozy place. Noelle was our server and she was great! She shares our sense of humor! We ate some of the best brisket we've had in quite some time. Ribs were great, smoked Turkey was great. The okra was so fresh and delicious! I thought the macaroni and cheese and the coleslaw was just OK. Next time I will try some different sides. Last night was the 4th time I've been here and this review is 100% service related. Each time I've been here the food has been fantastic, with that being said, I had family in town this weekend and wanted to get them a great BBQ dinner. We walked in as a group of 5 just as a group of 8 was leaving, since the place was busy we helped with separating the tables and sat down and waited for someone to clean the table and greet us. We sat there for atleast 15 minutes, spoke to the server that was working the table next to ours, watching two other tables be cleared, sat, drinks served and food orders taken before walking out, without so much as acknowledging our existence. As much as I like the food, I'm not sure that I can bring myself to return, very disappointing. read more

Came for breakfast but couldn't get a mimosa or Bloody Mary until 11am for some reason (it's a Wednesday morning). It's an old building with lots of decor. Service was good. I ordered the Not Your Sonic burrito without the tortilla. It was on a bed of tator tots and delicious. Husband got Sunrise in a border town. New location opened. First for us to eat, we had the philly and the dog. Philly came out huge and was good. The dog was alittle different from the last time I had it before they moved. Still really cooked well and so good flavor! I did miss the caramelized big onions and the banana peppers with I think honeymustard. Instead it had the small chopped green peppers n onions like the philly has. Both still good, just not over the top like I remembered. Sweet tea good. Peach cobbler was good. What happened to this place? When it first opened, the food was outstanding and the service matched it. Now, it's a completely different story--and not in a good way. I took my family there expecting the same quality we used to enjoy, and what we got was beyond disappointing. The ribs were embarrassingly small, and they were dry with no flavor. The brisket was even worse: cold, soggy, and completely unappetizing. It honestly felt like no care or pride went into preparing the food. The service has taken a serious dive too. Our waitress came to the table, didn't even bother to wait for a response, asked if we were done, and started grabbing plates that still had food on them. That's not just poor service--that's disrespectful. This place is clearly going downhill fast. If this is the direction it's heading, I won't be coming back--and I doubt I'll be the only one. It's disappointing to see something that started off so strong fall apart like this. It was good while it lasted. read more

Does Oklahoma Smoke have the smoke? I believe this is a new BBQ franchise. People seem to love it. Price is comparable to other BBQ franchises. For soda drinks, they served canned sodas, $3.50 each. I don't know what to think about this. The ribs were really tender with great flavors. Didn't quite have the smoke though, but they are still one of my favorite ribs. The BBQ beans were the worse, COLD COLD COLD. Cold baked beans with cold sausages in them, NO THANKS. Fried okras were fresh and hot. Service was slow but friendly. I loved that the chef came out to ask the customers about the food. You typically don't see this at other BBQ places. The place is small with only 9 dine-in tables. No bathroom that I could see. Taking everything into considerations, I was not too impressed with Oklahoma Smoke, 3.5 stars for me. P.S. This is just my opinion which may not have any validity. Review is based entirely on one visit so take it with a grain of salt. read more

I've been trying to go to this place for a few months and man am I glad I kept trying the jalapeño poppers are the best I've ever had. They have brisket in them with the cream cheese and bacon. The brisket is really good. A little fatty but you can ask for the lien Ribs were excellent potato salad was amazing. I don't eat greens but they gave me a sample of the greens and I may get greens next time. That I started eating here a year or two ago. The food has always been good and since then they have expanded. Usually that would be quick for a new business but not only have they expanded but they've gotten better while also adding new menu items. I love the barbecue here and I really love the tomahawk. They also have breakfast at this new location. It's inside the old chef Dee's location and it looks amazing full bar (no liquor yet) and really nice atmosphere. Service is always great here as well at either location. For a barbecue joint, the service here is very fast in my opinion. read more

Went for monday night Burger night and they did not disappoint. The burgers were cooked to perfection, and the flavors were delish. Staff was wonderful and enjoyed the environment. Tyler and the team are incredible. They welcomed me and made me feel at home. The smoke bombs are a must to start with. I had the chef surprise me his picks. Had a great lunch here the other day! I got the two meat plate, brisket and sausage with mac and cheese and fries. From the moment I stepped in Tyler made sure I was taking care of. Super kind gentleman and fantastic service. Not only that he gave me great recommendations to try and they did not disappoint. I ordered the pitmaster special. I was served roast and not brisket. Roast is not on their menu. So I should not have been served it. The two cuts of meat are vastly different. Roast comes from the shoulder, While brisket is the chest. The roast is a much cheaper, tougher, stringier cut. An award winning pitmaster knows it is wrong. The roast is often referred to as the poor man's brisket. So happy birthday to me. read more

I'm so sad! I was so disappointed. I'm going to Lockhart's next time First of all, they brought us cold beans and mac, to which I politely sent back. They brought out new sides for us, which i appreciated, but they were half full. They said its all they had left. (Keep in mind it's like 5pm) The meat was good, nothing special, and was slightly unseasoned for my preference. Their bbq sauce was okay, assuming they only had the one. Also, I did enjoy the sausage. I'm not too picky, so to leave a review is kind of unusual of me. Great place to eat! Enjoyed a family dinner of 12 and accommodations were perfect. Owner is very nice!

Let's start off with the meat since that's the most important at a smokehouse! The meat is juicy, pull off the bone, tender and very flavorful. The service was excellent considering they were super busy in a small building for of their opening days. Majority of the staff was their first day. I thought they did fantastic including the owners very young son helping his family with whatever he could do at the business. I may add a very polite young man the place is casual not a lot of seating would be a great place for takeout. This place is going to be five star in a few weeks. They've just got to get a few little kinks worked out and they will learn with more experience. I will definitely be back. It's going to be my place for barbecue when I am in! read more

Everything was delicious!! HOWEVER... they are a bit overpriced for serving sizes. The poppers are some of the best I've had, but for the price you pay you only get 2. Same with the banana pudding. For the price I paid I was shocked to only get a small thing of it with like 2 slices of banana in it. :( The service was friendly, but slow. I'm not sure where to begin since I took the entire family and recommended this place for lunch and we were so disappointed even walked out after 35 minutes. The entire time we were there only one guy at the bar was eating food and the three or four guys in the kitchen were just arguing with each other. The only thing I saw come out was a basket of onion rings and something else for another table. The tea was awful, and the waitress even mentioned other people complained. I felt terrible for the two servers because all I they could do was fill drinks and apologize to people. Hopefully the owners will take a better look at things and correct these issues. Can't comment on the food because we got tired of waiting and went to another bbq restaurant across the highway. Small restaraunt but big on friendliness. Staff welcomes everyone through the door. Couple of big TVs for enjoying the game. Getting order placed was a little slow but the food came out quickly. The brisket is very good. I will come back for more brisket in the future. Their sauce has a sweet first note and then you get the vinegar and some spice. My wife prefers sweeter with less vinegar but I really liked it. The potato salad and smoked sausage were average. Good tasting but no better than multiple other BBQ joints in the metro. Ribs were tender and meaty but had little flavor separate from the sauce. I've had better. The BBQ beans seemed to be nothing more than canned beans with sausage added. This site has been changed from one restaurant to another since Del Rancho moved years ago. I think there's finally an eating option that is here to stay. The decor had been replaced with old wooden planks and painted black. Police and highway patrol patches were posted on the walls along with Western paraphernalia. My daughter and I went in to get something enjoyable and that wasn't hospital food since my son and daughter-in-law were home from their stay in the hospital from unfortunate surgeries. As expected , it was a very busy Saturday but the service was welcoming and a bearded fellow brought us both iced teas on the house. We chatted during the wait and he answered lots of questions about the restaurant. There's another one in OKC Cattletown and they serve breakfast. We got a pound each of pulled pork and smoked turkey. Oklahoma Smoke is an appropriate name. The sides we chose were Macaroni 'n Cheese, Baked Beans, and Okra. The carry out bag was huge. He put in lots of plastic ware and napkins. Unfortunately, when we got to my son's house we discovered they had forgotten the Okra. We got the "large"so it was a loss of $12. I have to admit though that it was the best BBQ I have had in a very long time. Everything was delicious and what you would expect from award winning BBQ. Oh! And they even filled the old drive up with a teeny tiny wedding chapel complete with flowers and other decorations.
