The owner prepares all the food from fresh ingredients with love and all of it is delicious! My favorites are the Gyros, which are piled with your choice of freshly chopped vegetables and house made taziki sauce. The tabouli is made to order with choice of vegetables lemon juice and olive oil, the hummus is nice and garlicky, and the chicken is fall off the bone tender and the roasted vegetables, rice, potatoes are like homemade. Char Char is a new place over on 91st and sheridan that has healthy food that is prepared fresh everyday. My wife and I recently ate here last Saturday and it was really great food. I had the gyro sandwich dinner and my wife had the quarter chicken dinner. Both were excellent. The owner told us that he wanted to bring healthy flavorful food to Tulsa that is low in sodium and high in flavor. He has delivered both. We are headed there again tonight. The name says it all. The signature chicken has a very prominent charred taste. I liked it, but I am a huge fan of BBQ with some charred "bark." Modest portions, but modest pricing. Definitely worth what you pay. Impeccably clean. Owner (really nice and energetic guy) said no oil is used in cooking. Only steamed and/or grilled. Open for about 10 months when I visited. I had a gyro with potato salad and husband had chicken with potatoes. All was amazing! Potato salad is great - not a typical potato salad, has peas and chicken, great flavor. Talking with the owner, she wants to keep stuff extremely healthy, and authentic; so don't expect things to be over salted and over-seasoned like everything else in Oklahoma. I had the chicken, with the Tabouli and hummus, and my wife had a Gyro with rice and salad. The chicken literally fell off the bone, and paired with some of the hummus and bread, it was great. Literally the best chicken I have eaten in my life. Juicy, fall off the bone tender, smoky, well-seasoned, perfect chicken. Finally got to get in here and try it. Was glad to see it had been totally gutted after Duffy's used to be there, because now it's very clean and new!
