Fantastic experience here for brunch. The ambiance was clean and elevated, our server was friendly, and the drinks were great. I really enjoyed my bloody Mary and pina colada. They were accommodating to my dietary restrictions and were able to get me a side of fried green tomatoes even though they weren't on the menu, and the grits were great. I would suggest that they put more vegetarian/vegan dishes on the menu in general, but otherwise, no critique.
This was my first time at this restaurant. The food here is delicious. The salmon and potatoes were tasty . My ultimate favorite was the redfish with the crab fried rice . The crab fried rice was a perfect match to go with the fish. The service was okay, nothing to go crazy about . I went on a Sunday , which means it was very busy and extremely loud ( I wasn't a fan of that ) . I'll definitely be back on a less busier day to try out more things ! I would definitely recommend to others.
Lisa was great and provide professionalservice. Location is modern and bright. Parking was easy with plenty of street and lot options in the area. The food was fresh and delicious. Several options with a spin. Mimosas were well crafted!
A group of friends and I had brunch at this restaurant owned by Dook Chase. We were excited to dine here and get a taste of what New Orleans has to offer. I ordered a Lychee Blossom cocktail. It had a mild flavor incorporating Prosecco and elderflower. It was okay. For my meal, I ordered the Fried farm raised catfish, crawfish & andouille maque choux creole grits. My food lacked the flavor I was looking forward to. Not sure that I would dine here again for breakfast. Maybe I will give dinner a try. The best thing I had was my Arnold Palmer drink. The server was very good and made recommendations from the menu.
Amazing shrimp and grits, service was amazing and the atmosphere is very pleasant. We made reservations online and arrived prior to opening by a few minutes, but they allowed us to wait inside due to the rain and heat. That was a very nice gesture and set the tone for the rest of the visit. The menu had your traditional breakfast fare, such as bacon, eggs, pancakes. But I wanted shrimp and grits and I was not disappointed. The grits were creamy, flavorful, and I did not turn into a liquid mess once cool. Shrimp is deveined (YES!!!!) and it's a nice size portion. This restaurant is definitely on my list of New Orleans favorites. I'd like to return to try their other menu items. Do yourself a favor and go there ASAP!

I came here with my family and everybody loved their food so much that we're cooking back for my nephews graduation breakfast. The service was excellent. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant itself was really nice. Very bright. Very clean. And very aesthetically pleasing. Also parking was decent. I was able to find street parking nearby.
Great little Restaurant great service good food. Overall, I had the gumbo and the crabcake. They were all very nice. I'll have to come back here with the Wife and some friends. The Parking situation is not good. He's paid to park on the street so you gotta plan this timing you just gotta get lucky there might be a parking garage two or three blocks away but it's a good place to have lunch if you find parking, I also have breakfast general, New Orleans, food, menu, salads, drinks, and specialty cocktails I recommend it nice ambience and the art was nice as well.
Located on a cute little street. You walk in to a small quaint restaurant. The hostess at the door greeted us and asked if we had reservations. So I assume you can make them in advance. Luckily; we didn't need it at the time for lunch. The waitress was attentive, polite and pleasant. I love the extra attention to filling my water glass. The food came in pretty fast and was delicious. You can pay via the QR code on the receipt which was seamless. Overall, Greta dining experience
The staff were great My old fashion was perfect! The ambiance is loud. The bathroom was clean Our 12:30 reservation was halted because it started raining and the power went out. We we to another spot and then was called back that the power came back on. Whew came for Saturday brunch to celebrate a birthday. Party of 20. I got the chicken sandwich with sauce and pickles on the side. The sauce was sweet and so are the pickles. Not a fan of sweet pickles. I didn't finish it because it was just bland, fried well though. I did try my partners chicken and pancakes which I should've gotten. Pancakes were crispy edged and fluffy but th chicken wasn't seasoned so maybe a no to that as well. Other than that, everything was good. I may come back to try something else I ordered the sandwich due to the reviews here on Yelp. You guys steered me wrong
This place is a 10/10! The food was soooo good and drinks were strong lol! We got seated fast and the service was friendly and attentive. The place was clean and there was plenty of beautiful artwork lining the walls. Overall an amazing experience if you're looking for a brunch/lunch option. My first time brunching in New Orleans and I'm glad it was at the beautiful location Chapter IV. This spot is walking distance from the Saints football stadium and Pelicans basketball stadium which is perfect for people who want to indulge in good food and sports. When we walked in we were greeted by manager Erin who was so nice and felt like a friend from home. The interior was lively, with a bar and tv for those who want to watch the games. Our waiter Jena was very helpful and gave us the best recommendations. My husband and I loved her! We ordered the following: Brunch champagne mimosas special, Oyster Rockefeller, Crab fried rice, Crab cake, Gumbo, Bbq shrimp omelette, Seafood pasta, Bread pudding. Every single thing was so full of flavor and delicious. The drinks were hitting, and the gumbo and bbq shrimp omelette were my fave! But the very best thing on the menu was the bread pudding...OMG my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Come to find out this Black owned establishment is the son of Dooky Chase restaurant. It's great to see how much African American culture is celebrated here on the walls with the beautiful pictures. I can't wait to come back and also I hope to check out the original Dooky Chase restaurant one day!
Chapter IV was one of the best dining experiences I had during my recent trip to New Orleans. The restaurant is owned by Chef Dion Chase, grandson of the late great Leah Chase. I had them bookmarked on Yelp, but one of the local drivers said they have some of the best gumbo so I knew I had to see for myself. I called prior to arriving to inquire if they would be able to accommodate a party of 6 and was told to come on in. The restaurant is bright and modern. The menu has a good mix of Louisiana staples as well as some other stand out dishes. I wanted to taste a bit of everything, so I ordered the gumbo, sweet chili wings and ribs and the oysters Rockefeller. The gumbo was fantastic! I wish I could've taken some back home, lol. The sweet chili wings and ribs were a favorite amongst our table. The meat was a bit crisp and tender on the inside. The oyster Rockefeller was good too. The oysters were fried, places on top of creamed spinach and topped with pickled red onions. One dish amongst the group was sent back, but overall everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Our server was outstanding! She was so personable and even recommended some other places to check out during our stay.

Stopped by Chapter IV for lunch. I've been here before, but for some reason the food this time was especially good. I started with the corn and crab bisque, which was very flavorful and had a generous amount of crab meat. For my main, I kept it simple with grits, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and a biscuit. Everything was excellent; the grits were creamy and well seasoned, the eggs were scrambled perfectly, and the biscuit was so soft it practically melted in my mouth. If you're in New Orleans and want a good, authentic breakfast or brunch spot that isn't overly crowded and is easy to get into, I'd definitely recommend Chapter IV. read more
This place deserves to be rated high for its EXCELLENT culinary service! Not surprising at all as Chef Edgar "Dook" Chase is simply skilled in Creole cuisine and it shows through this gem. The ambiance was something amazing and each artwork told a unique story and brought an art gallery vibe across the restaurant. Great staff and very friendly team. Our waitress Kierra was so sweet and attentive, such great hospitality. The coffee was brewed to my loving. Ummm NOLA has some of the best coffee and this place lived up to the hype. FOOD I had the fish and grits and honestly, this was the BEST fish and grits I've EVER had. I need to break down each component to help you understand the magic. 1-The fish was fried to perfection, crispy and golden brown on the outside with a flaky juicy texture inside. 2-Next was the crawfish and andouille maque choux placed on top of the fish. Baby when I tell you that if they sold this online I would be their biggest customer. It was sooooooooooo scrumptious. WOW! Literally no comparison to this. 3-Lastly the grits...whatever culinary magic they used for this dish did not stop at the fish or the maque choux, no, it ran down to the grits-the most creamiest and delicious ever had. I added a biscuit on the side as a compliment but honestly, everything was incredible. We also had the BEST chicken and pancake ever and once again there is no comparison to how AMAZING the food here truly is. Add it to your must visit list! read more

Make a reservation for brunch. They had same day time slots available! Otherwise we were quoted 1 hour wait or so, but it ended up being less. Walkable from the edge of the French Quarter. It's in a random spot with not much around it? Got seated around 1pm or so and it actually emptied out quite a bit... Shrimp and grits ($22) which was a good portion. When you walk in you're greeted with a fresh classy ambiance and smiling faces. My server was Destiny and she was amazing. I asked for recommendations and she delivered with a warm smile and friendly approach. I ordered the Oyster Benedict and not only was it pleasing to the eye, but full of delicious flavor. We went for lunch/brunch and EVERYTHING was so good! - I had the shrimp sandwich, and he had the catfish & grits, and we shared the wings and ribs. The sauce on the wings and ribs was AMAZING. But that shrimp sandwich?! It was on the Coolinary menu, but it NEEDS to become a permanent menu item because I would absolutely come back just for that. fa Also the shrimp, beet & watermelon salad completely surprised me. I'm not even a fan of beets, but all of the flavors complemented each other so perfectly that I ate it and loved it. Everything we tried was flavorful, well put together, and genuinely delicious. This was one of those meals where we kept tasting each other's food because everything on the table was THAT good. Definitely coming back! read more

Went on a Monday and easily found parking right out front. The food came out hot and well-seasoned, and our server was friendly and attentive. The ambiance was bright, clean, and modern -- a nice touch for a casual meal. I do wish they offered a small birthday treat like an ice cream scoop, but overall the experience was enjoyable. The BBQ shrimp was especially flavorful and a standout dish. The crab fried rice, however, could be improved with jasmine rice and a touch of soy sauce, as it was my least favorite item. Still, I'd definitely come back. read more
Came here because the restaurant was on Resy and was incredibly impressed! The sweet ribs were amazing. Ribs and wings incredibly tender and glaze complemented the meat perfectly. Fish and grits was a 10/10 dish with so many amazing components and would highly recommend this. Service was great, inside of the restaurant very nice and fancy feeling. read more

My coworkers and I came here for lunch after a meeting at City Hall. It's in a great location if you are headed to City Hall. We all had salads and they were all delicious! I had the beet and crab salad and it was huge with lots of crab and lots of beets. Service was great and it's a beautiful restaurant, nice and sunny. Can't wait to come back! read more

EVERYTHING about this restaurant was . The food, the service, the ambiance all great. Gina was our waitress and she was extremely attentive! We went for brunch on a Wednesday morning and were NOT disappointed!! I was so full but couldn't stop myself from eating. I can't wait to come back the next time we're in NOLA! read more

Everything at Chapter IV is a 10/10. This spot hittts all things Southern and NOLA. The cocktails are on point, the grits are perfection, the gumbo is authentic, and honestly every dish I've tried has been packed with flavor. Some of my personal favorites: * Gumbo * Shrimp & Grits * Redfish * Chicken & Pancakes * Espresso Martini * Mimosas The ambiance is great--cool artwork, clean bathrooms, and a fun, lively vibe. The staff is consistently warm, attentive, and passionate about the food and menu. Every visit, Chapter IV has held the same high standard, which is why I always recommend it to anyone visiting NOLA. Bonus points: there are TVs by the bar for Saints games on Sundays, and street parking nearby is usually easy to find (except during Sunday home games). Your meal here won't disappoint!! read more

Went with colleagues for lunch. We didn't have a reservation but then were able to accommodate us as walk ins. Immediately greeted and sat by hostess. Server came to our table immediately answered any questions about the menu. It's a nice since restaurant with some outdoor seating and a bar area. Nice local art work on display. Tried the sweet, chili, wing and ribs app it was flavorful preferred the chicken over the ribs they weren't as tender as I'd like. Ordered the fish and grits for my entree. The grits were amazing. The dish as a whole was nicely seasoned and flavorful. Will go back to try other menu items. read more
I had the seafood linguine at Chapter 4, and it was my first time trying black linguine absolutely delicious. The flavors were well-balanced and blended beautifully. The atmosphere really stood out: airy, bright, and inviting, with exposed windows that create a light, open feel. The space is roomy without feeling crowded, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Portions were generous, prices were reasonable, and the staff was attentive and on point throughout the entire meal. Will definitely go again! read more
Came here for a birthday brunch. It was busy on a Sunday but the service was still good especially with our large party. The place itself isn't very big and has a casual vibe. Now let talk about the food. I'm going to be honest it just wasn't it for me. We had the crab cake appetizer and it was literally one crab cake and I didn't like it. Wasn't awful but it was too bready I guess, too thick and definitely needed more sauce. Then for my meal I had the oysters Benedict, which visually so pretty, looks amazing but it was just bland. Idk how but they need to work more flavor into that, maybe do something to the hollandaise because the potential is there with that dish. My sister had the chicken and pancakes which was actually very good, delicious pancake and chicken but just not something I'd go back for. We ordered the mimosa for the table which came with a bottle of prosecco and 3 juices. Based on what I had I don't see myself going back but at the same time I gotta support our black businesses so I am willing to try it again and maybe get something else. read more

Absolutely love Chapter IV! It's such a cozy ambiance! I've always had a great experience here! The customer service is always good! I love the gumbo & the chicken & pancakes! The cheesecake is a MUST! Delicious! I cannot wait to visit again to try more dishes & a few cocktails! read more
Love this place! I've been a few times and each time it's better somehow. Service is always on point. The decor is very nice and bright and modern. The food is top tier. Beautiful spot! I made Friday lunch reservations for 2 through Resy. Street parking was available. There is paid parking on the left side of the street and free parking on the right side. We were seated at bar table with an outside view. The decor was beautiful but our high table was wobbly. Our server was a nice young lady. She made a great suggestion for mocktails. We went with the Leah's Garden. It was sweet and delicious. We started with the Thai Chili Ribs and Wings. These were good. 3 wings and 3 ribs. For our entrees we both went with the grilled redfish served with crab fried rice and yellow and green zucchini. This dish was just okay. The fish was seasoned well but the crab fried rice was a big let down. It tasted like boxed rice with carrots and added piece of crab. The zucchini lacked flavor. Overall, great atmosphere. I'd probably return to try more appetizers and brunch. read more

Such a beautiful restaurant with AMAZING food! The only reason, and I mean ONLY reason I knocked off one star is because the service was a bit slow. The restaurant is minimal and gorgeous, I really loved the artwork. We all enjoyed our food, and wish we had another day in New Orleans to go again and enjoy another dish on the menu. For food, you have to get the shrimp and grits. THEY WERE SO GOOD. The grits were creamy and yummy. The taste of the shrimp My man got the chicken and pancakes - also very good. I really enjoyed the pancakes. We also loved the bread pudding, especially the crispy edges! If you're in New Orleans, you have to try this spot out! read more
