Redfish royale 5/10: my fish was overcooked and dry. And all the food was a different temp. Meaning the fish was but the corn and mash were a really lukewarm. The mash under the fish had no flavor and was a little bland. I also wasn't a fan of the corn either as it lacked flavor too. I had high hopes for this dish but was very disappointed. Hoping the cook was just having a bad night. Purple reign 9/10: good flavor and not too sweet, even with the sugar on the rim. The liquor ratio was good as well and I didn't even taste it. I tried this place for the first time. It was 4th of July so there was about an hour wait. After we sat down, there was a bit of confusion with the waitstaff and some back and forth about who was serving us as everyone was apparently scheduled to get off. Shout out to Demi. She stayed past her shift to serve us and close us out. I ordered the Garlic Parm Turkey Wings and Mashed Potatoes. It came very quickly and was hot. The wings were seasoned good on the outside, crispy, and were a nice size for the price. The mashed potatoes tasted like they had sour cream in them, which is a plus for me. I would have liked some additional garlic parm for dipping. Lol. The restaurant is nice. The outside area would be torture in the summer but, they do have fans going. For drinks, I ordered the Wow Side cocktail, mixed with Dusse cognac, blackberry, vodka, and lemon with a sweet sugared rim. It was absolutely fantastic! When the entrees hit the table, everyone's jaw dropped. One of the ladies ordered The Mac Stuffed Turkey Leg, which was massive, fall-off-the-bone tender, and piled high with their delicious baked mac and cheese. Another ordered the Mojo Stuffed Turkey Leg, stuffed to the brim with incredibly flavorful seafood pasta--such a cool and unique New Orleans twist! Wow Turkey is a Black owned restaurant. They were playing 90s R&B (the good ole days). The restaurant is beautiful inside. There is an event space for parties attached to the restaurant. I went on a lunch date with my man. Our waitress was Demi. We ordered the spinach dip and a small wow salad to start. We ordered the mudbug stuffed turkey leg and the mojo stuffed turkey leg. They turkey legs were so tender. The food was good; portions are large. Overall, it was a great experience. I would definitely recommend it for a date night with bae. I had the opportunity of having lunch here today with my friend after seeing them on TikTok. It's very cute in there! I love how it's decorated and the pops of color. We were seated as soon as we walked in. Our waiter Jonathan was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. He gave great recommendations on what we should try. We had the Shrimp Platter and the Mojo Turk. The shrimp were fried and seasoned perfectly. I loved the shoe string fries that came with it. My friend had the mojo Turk which is a turkey leg with shrimp pasta on top. It was huge! I had a little piece and was delicious. My friend loved the sauce that came on it as well. Tried out WOW Turkey for a birthday dinner and my experience was a bit mixed. Before arriving we reserved two tables of 8 some arrived a few minutes earlier than the rest of our table but were told once a full 8 arrived they could be seated which was normal so when the rest of the 8 for the first table arrived we were told that our table was already checked in and sat and that we had to wait for our second table. When we went to sit in the waiting area our first guests were still waiting, when we brought this up to be seated the front house manager (Davina) was very unpleasant and rushed us to our table and when we asked where our second table was sitting she stated they won't be anywhere near us because of booking two reservations. When we looked around we noticed ample space of where they could've sat but we went on to enjoy our night. When the second table arrived (to include the birthday girl) they stopped by our table to speak and the front manager came to our table again to make it a point to tell us we can't sit together. We let her know we were aware and we were just speaking to each other before they sat. She then told us again we can't sit together and stood there to usher them away from us. She told the birthday girl (wearing a dress with cleavage) that her outfit isn't appropriate for a modest family restaurant and then we sat next to other patrons with mesh outfits. When our friend from a different table came to ask us about our food she showed up again to move him to his table. She was literally the worst part of our time here and management should do better at training staff when servicing people. Now the saving grace, the food was really good and definitely put a better taste in our mouth than she originally left us with. I would add the turkey was really tender (perfectly tender) the bones were starting to split but it didn't get in the way of us enjoying our meal. The drinks were delicious and the names were cute and our table server Ari was amazing. She knew the menu in and out helped us with recommendations and checked on us regularly. I had the burger and was underwhelmed, however. I also had the deviled egg appetizer and cheesecake and they were excellent. My dislikes about it were that the hostess wasn't very professional. It would be better if she were more friendly and welcoming instead of immediately asking me whether I had a reservation or not. Additionally, our experience was tainted because they somehow gave our order to another table and neglected to tell us until we were noticed sitting forever. A woman who I assumed was a floor manager walked by multiple times and never noticed or checked in with us. Normally, other restaurants would have given something complimentary for the inconvenience but we got nothing - and we didn't even complain. Overall, I had a good experience at Wow Turkey and would definitely come back. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and everyone left full. My only feedback on the food is the Mud Bug Turkey Leg. The turkey leg itself was excellent, but I felt like there was much more étouffée gravy than actual crawfish and rice. I would have loved a more balanced portion with more crawfish and rice to go along with the turkey leg. The biggest area for improvement is the service. We had a reservation set, but weren't seated until about an hour later, which was disappointing considering we had reserved a table ahead of time. Once we were seated, not everyone's drinks arrived, and we had to remind our waiter. Most of the food came out together, but one person's meal was significantly delayed, leaving them waiting while the rest of the table had already started eating. Despite the service issues, the quality of the food made up for a lot. If the restaurant can improve reservation management and provide more consistent service--and serve a little more crawfish and rice with the Mud Bug Turkey Leg--it would easily be a 5-star experience. For the food alone, I'd absolutely recommend giving Wow Turkey a try. read more

The seafood was mushy, the pasta had no flavor, and the turkey leg lacked seasoning and even a smoky flavor. The oysters were charred to perfection but had no flavor at all.
