Shoutout to this black owned spot with delicious food options! I went for a group event (that filled the building) and the staff worked super hard to make sure that we had what we needed. The food was extremely tasty and served in huge portions..I was impressed. I had the blackened fish and grits, a must try. The space is adorned with cute B- themed items and even swings to use "at your own risk", lol. Poses only. I'm not going to lie...I was dying of smoldering heat. I can't imagine how hot it gets in there when it's hot outside :-/ And, the ventilation is very, very poor. I walked out smelling like a fryer, and my hair smelled like fried food until I washed it. They really need to work on making the actual space more comfortable, because the food truly is delicious and has a great value.

Lemon drop flight blueberry was my favorite

LE-ROOOOOOOY omg everyone this a PSA for the enjoyment of one of Gods gifts. The FOOD WAS SIMPLY AMAZING. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't try the oxtail and grits and Leroy the sweetest waiter this side of the waters said I got you and he did not disappoint. He suggested the krabby Bee and my taste buds are doing flips. The dish was seasoned to perfection. The fish was fried better than ya mama's. The ambience and vibes were 10/10. I give BSpot a 15/10 overall. The chef did their thing now I have to try their new restaurant Lotus.

Words CANNOT express how much I enjoyed B Spot NoLa and LEROY! Leroy' service was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. His recommendations were SPOT ON! The salmon bites and catfish were fried to perfection. The grits were creamy and perfected with the addition of Gouda cheese. The Bee themed decor was so cute and aestically pleasing. Plenty of street parking. If you choose to come here, you will not be dissapointed

Jerk/ Hawaiian chicken wings (it was weird) The bacon was good. Lobster and grits not pictured was also good but not great!

B Spot in New Orleans has a lot of potential, but there are definitely some areas that need attention. The decor is super cute and well thought-out, which made for a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food was just okay--nothing special. The mimosas were served warm (not ideal), but at least they were pretty. Service was underwhelming, and the coffee tasted like instant, which is disappointing for a sit-down restaurant. Plates were chipped, and while the silverware came in a cute paper bag, it felt a little too casual for the experience they're trying to offer. Also, be aware that you're only allowed 90 minutes at your table, and a 20% gratuity is automatically added--even if the service doesn't quite earn it. Parking is a hassle, so plan ahead. Overall, it's a mixed bag--there's good and bad--but with some improvements, B Spot could really shine. I'm rooting for them to tighten things up and become great!

A big shoutout to the chef for the delicious food! Every dish was incredible . The B-Urger was huge, flavorful, and juicy. You absolutely have to try the truffle fries; they may be simple, but they're packed with flavor. We devoured the spinach dip with fresh tortilla chips, & the Big Buzz Chicken wingz were perfectly crispy. The shrimp & grits were also filling and hit the spot. I highly recommend the Mimosa flight, which is served on a cute tower. We also enjoyed the Lemon Drop flight, which was vibrant and tasty! Our server kindly treated us to a shot on the house, which was a nice surprise. The atmosphere was lively, featuring talented live music from a saxophonist. The ambiance was vibrant with good vibes all around. It was packed both inside & outside, which speaks volumes about the place!

Lobster, grits, and crawfish cream sauce. Lobster was "fishy" could've used more seasoning.

I visited on a Friday a for lunch. I made reservations and paid a $25 deposit. Be careful with this because the fee was not deducted from my bill as stated. By the time I remembered I had already swiped my card. When I told the server she said let me call "her" and see. She then showed me a screen that said return deposit and said I'd receive an email. Also be aware that the gratuity is automatically added. My server conveniently left this out while going over my items before I paid. I ignorantly tipped another 20%. The place is smaller than i thought. It seemed cramped. The music was nice. We ordered a lavender mocktail, blueberry lemon drop and two waters to start. The glass sizes are small! Including the water!! We needed several water refills due to the small cups. For appetizers we had salmon bites and seafood dip. Both were pretty good. The seafood dip had a nice flavor but the temperature was lukewarm. It would've been amazing if it was hot! For entrees we had the lobster and grits w/ crawfish cream sauce and the Snapper with rice and crawfish cream sauce. The crawfish cream was good, I didn't care for the lobster or snapper. They both had a fishy taste and could've used more seasoning.

The vibe alone has this place as a top brunch spot. Very cute place to dress up and take pictures with the girls for brunch. From the minute you sit down at the table your time starts. You have a time limit. The waitress pops up at the table and tells you everyone has to order at the same time. They dont give you much time to look over the menu. (Please look over it a head of time) Literally the only down fall. Food came out really fast and hot. We ordered the shrimp and grits, gumbo, spinach dip and breakfast sandwich. Everything was amazing cant wait to go back

Terrance F.

Came here around lunch time. We started off with some appetizers. The spinach dip was lukewarm. It could have been a little hotter. The salmon bites were pretty good. Let's get into the entrees. I had the red snapper which was pretty good. The water comes in very small glasses which causes the waiter to make frequent trips to your tables. It's very small and the parking is hit or miss.

Went in with a group of five and didn't have to wait. The service was quick and polite and all of our food came out hot and delicious as always. It's super cute in there with all the different bee themed and yellow throughout the restaurant if you uptown definitely put this on your list

If you're looking for brunch with a full-on club vibe and ubiquitous grass wall as you enter, The B Spot on Calhoun is the place. Food was tasty with solid portion sizes, but the prices add up quick--every little extra is another $5-10. Drinks? Let's just say the Beyoncé was memorable. The dry ice gimmick made it bubble, but the bartender's heavy pour made it too strong (and I didn't think that was possible). Biggest drawback: the volume. It was so loud my friends and I could barely hear each other. Overall, if brunch + party energy is your thing, this spot delivers. For me, though, it's a one-time experience, not a regular go-to.

Tremaine R.

Visiting NOLA for Essence Festival Weekend, and this spot came highly recommended by my frat brother who's local--and even by celebrity Kandi! I kept it simple with the chicken and waffles, and let me tell you, they were top tier. I also had the Mimosa Tower, which came with four different flavors--each one better than the last. It was the perfect vibe for some quality bonding time with my two line brothers. Great food, great company--I'll definitely be back!"

Let's get the critiques out the way . The hostess misled us about seating . She over-promised a large party table and didn't deliver. Oh well, that's her. Let's get to the positive . The food is bomb! Delicious. Fresh. Flavored. Seasoned. Blessed. I took it light and ordered the Not Arugula salad because I'm eating heavier later, but I tasted the grits and catfish. If you order this, add crab meat and ask for your feta cheese separately. They are quite generous with it. You MUST get both catfish and grits. Everyone raved about the fried shrimp, too. I am coming back.

French toast cake!!…read more We had some friends from out of town come to visit and they wanted to have breakfast so we brought them here. There are few breakfast spots in the quarter that I like and this is among them. I like the bacon omelet with Gruyère and a side of hot sausage. Their omelets have a cheese pull! Put some hot sauce on there and you're cooking. The hot sausage, well you gotta try it. It's unique in a good way. The crepes are good my wife likes the banana and Nutella, but the folks next to us got savory crepes and I think I am going to get that next time. One of our friends got the king cake French toast and we had seen it before and knew what he was getting into but he ate it all!!! The service is super friendly every time we have been, and this time was no exception. The place is French Quarter through and through. Kinda quirky, kinda hipster, kinda you know. There is construction going on out front on Decatur that isn't close to be done so the fences make it kinda hard to find, and sitting outside is not so great now. There is nothing you can do about it, but we prefer to sit inside so there can be a wait because it's small. If you don't want to wait go ahead and sit outside if the weather nice. Overall, we really like this place and the food has always been good. A must try if you're visiting New Orleans.

Though pop-up showers were still lingering, my husband and I decided to take a gamble on courtyard dining--and I am so glad we did! Sheltered under the green umbrellas surrounded by historic brick walls, lush greenery, and rain-kissed citrus trees, the atmosphere was incredibly romantic and peaceful. The courtyard's intimate layout even brought a bit of extra magic to our evening. We sat near another wonderful couple (and their adorable daughter) and became fast friends, sharing laughs and conversation throughout the night. What truly anchored the experience, though, was the incredible service. The staff was remarkably personable, helpful, and welcoming. The dinner itself was excellent from start to finish, showcasing immense culinary skill across every dish. We started with the delicious brussels sprouts and a uniquely seasoned spring/summer gumbo that was unlike any version we've had before (oh, what I would give for the recipe). As for the entrées, the shrimp and grits were phenomenal, and the blackened catfish sandwich with a fresh salad was executed flawlessly...and the bread pudding was fantastic, too! It is rare to find an experience where top-tier hospitality, a breathtaking environment, and great food come together so (seemingly) effortlessly. Café Amélie is an absolute must-visit! The host was extremely welcoming and friendly. Our server and helpers were over quickly to drop off waters and greet us. I ended up ordered the salmon. With it being so early and only one or 2 other tables besides my friend and me, the food did take longer to come out than I expected it to. Both of us did thoroughly enjoy what we got. The salmon was crispy on the outside with a nice sauce over it. We thought we'd have time to get dessert so we ordered a couple but that too took a very long time. We finally waved down our server to cancel and get the check since we had to be somewhere and he apologized and said their WiFi was going in and out so it could be that it was registering on the kitchen side. That may have explained why our entrees took too long. If it wasn't for the service and the food being great - I would not be thrilled about timing. We got there around 5:30p and had to leave by 7:15p so an almost 2 hours experience that probably could have been 1 hour.

We checked into our nearby hotel a bit early in the day and was looking to hit the streets for a spot to get a chill/light breakfast, a coffee and maybe a cocktail. We found all the things at Luzianne Cafe. Whether you belly up to the bar or grab a table, both of which are first come first serve, you start at the counter where you order, pay and grab your table number. It appears that during busy times they allow you to sit first and order from the QR at your table, this is an assumption given the code to order at the table, but the sign at the entry directed folks to the counter to order before sitting. For breakfast, we got the breakfast biscuit which came with eggs, bacon and cheese, and sided it with grits. The breakfast sandwich was solid, eggs were a bit soft and grits were more mealy than we are used to, but I think that may be authenticity of the area more than anything. I opted for the three option omelet with onion, sausage and gouda plus a side of sausage links. The omelet, though odd sounding combination turned out to be solid. Maybe it was my options, but it was decently "one note" in flavor. I tossed a little hot sauce on and that helped. However, while the sausage links were not much to look at, they were tasty, with a nice snap to the casing and meaty inside. To go with our breakfast, I got a cold brew with a splash of almond milk while my partner embraced NOLA and started his day with a bourbon sour. Both of us enjoyed our choices! Service was friendly and helpful at the counter/bar. The food runner was nice and then another member, assuming the Manager, that stopped by to check on us mid meal. She was super friendly and nice.
